- Darya Saltykova - 18th century Countess who torutured and killed serfs on her estate
- Alexander Pichushkin - aka The Bitsa Maniac and The Chessboard Killer ; is according to Russian news agency RIA Novosti (13th of august 2007) charged with murdering of 49 people in a Moscow's Bitsyevskiy "Bitsa" Park. He is suspected of killing as many as 62.
