Hi TRM. Shame about this season's home record! Mind you, fancy your chances this season over ours. Anyway, any chance I could have Lewis Young undeleted. He came on for Watford tonight thus passes the guidelines. Don't really see the point in putting it to the vote... Instead if just nominating the page see, i hoped you can take a look at the List of Roman Emperors to see what i need to fix before its nominated okay. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 10:40, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the tips. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 11:12, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Can you take a look at the Screaming Trees discography i've fixed all the problems from last nomination, replaced with reliable sources, direct links to the proper pages and so on. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 18:34, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed all the problems okay. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 19:00, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed, you where right Tripwires linked to the wrong, the band he was touring with doesn't have a page and i've fixed the Zobbel link. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 19:07, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Replaced it with reliable sources. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 19:16, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Added sources from Allmusic for the songs, something else. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 19:31, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It sais that Pretty Noose was nominated in 1997, but the name is misspelled to Pretty Noise. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 16:36, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed everything on the Screaming Trees discography. Is it a criteria it isn't passing or something else i should fix just say it. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 09:42, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Can you please take a look at the Lostprophets discography. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 11:26, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed the remaining problems not done by Skomorokh, if it something else i should fix just say so. Can you also take a look at the List of Soundgarden awards which i've nominated. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 16:21, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Can you take a look at the Josh Homme discography, the article got copyedited by skomorokh before it was nominated and all the references links right pages. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 13:53, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why isn't that scorpion guy helping out checking out the reviews? and those certifications wasn't like that when it was nominated, someone has vandalisied it. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 14:27, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I ges your right. Question how can i change colour on that box on the josh homme discography. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 14:34, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reason for why i'm answearing here is that i have withdrawn the Josh Homme discography. Direct links to the BPI is inpossible, i've found a dussen of direct links but when you use them you are either directed to the start page or it doesn't work. Whats the big deal anyway, no featured list has a direct link to the BPI, check it out for yourself. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 14:50, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean by unlinked release date, where are they, tell me where they are and i'll fix it. The EPs with Kyuss is in the section with Kyuss and the QotSA ones are on their discography page which is linked too. If you didn't get what i meant just contact me. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 07:17, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you help explain i can probably help you check references on FL candidates for you. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 07:27, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hm can you take a look at the List of Romen Emperors and leave a comment(s) on the peer review page. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 08:01, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Take a look at the Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of presidents of the Russian Federation. :) --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 18:01, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've copyedited the lead, or at least i made it beter then what it was, please take a look. Peer Review, i have List of Roman Emperors at the peer review which is getting good reviews. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 11:21, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Dud List of heads of state of Gabon is much smaller then List of presidents of the Russian Federation. It has a good written lead which, use references and isn't close to a stub. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 18:55, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Day 10 for BYU alumni FLC

I believe today is day 10 for this FLC...there are 4 Supports / 0 objections (as well as 1 Support from the previous FLC). I believe obtaining these supports has helped prove the list is FL worthy, but if the list's support is still insufficient, I hope you will please extend the FLC explaining what more needs to be done. Thank you. --Eustress (talk) 12:54, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

G-Unit discog

Hi, TRM. If you were going to close this one tonight, please don't do it yet. I have some things to comment, but I have to run out for 2 hours. Thx, bye! Matthewedwards (talk contribs  email) 05:12, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK, that's fine with regards to both. I had already begun to expect my nom to be archived, and I'd rather it was since it only received two reviews. I'm not sure what you mean by "Freshen it up a bit" though.. has something caught your eye?
I'm also looking at Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of Trina awards where you said The Sun isn't considered to be reliable because it's a tabloid. Are you sure about that? It's not like the American magazines The National Enquirer, The Globe (tabloid) or National Examiner. It's a newspaper from News International, and, in spite of people's views about Murdoch, I would have thought it was allowed. Matthewedwards (talk contribs  email) 16:42, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for replying. You can go ahead and archive it then, and I'll re-nom later today. Also, I'm going through the FLCs from bottom to top right now, so just be aware in case you archive/promote some others from the FLC page if you haven't hit refresh. Matthewedwards (talk contribs  email) 16:59, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FLCs and junk

Hey man. Unfortunately I'm still on semi-wikibreak, semi-unreliable-computer-access for a while, but I'll see what I can do with some FLC comments and stuff. Oh and thanks for the comments on mine, as well as all the other hard work you've put in recently. Drewcifer (talk) 11:03, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Review Request

I noticed this message was archived, and you might not have seen it, so here it is again,

I currently have the article The Great American Bash (2005) up for Peer review, here. I come to you in hopes of you reviewing the article, as I'm aiming to get this article prepared for Featured Article status. I would really appreciate if you would take some time and review this article to the best of your abilities. Cheers, -- iMatthew T.C. 13:25, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Rambler

Hey Rambler, can you comment on SummerSlam (2003)'s peer review (link). I saw you commented on The Great American Bash's, so I wanted your input on SummerSlam because I plan on nominating it for FAC tomorrow.--SRX 18:57, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just so you know

I'm going away (again) on Monday August 4 until Friday, so you'll have to watch the FLC fort. After that, the Olympics begin, so I'll most likely be devoting a lot of my wikitime to trying to maintain some level of sanity in the thousands of related articles, so I won't be very active at FLC. After that (on the 22nd) I'm going away for a few more days. So, you'll be doing most of the closures in August (but I will help out when/where I can), and I'll try and make up for it in September. -- Scorpion0422 23:55, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Your RFA

Hey TRM :) Sorry it's taken so long (you wrote a message on the 20 July) but i've been away on holiday.

No worries about the closure, I recognise the need for consensus within the community and I saw the close coming from a long way back. I decided to hold out to get all the critique I could. Anyway, thanks for the help! —CycloneNimrodTalk? 10:38, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, The Rambling Man. Just wanted to let you know I responded on that FLC. Cheers, Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 15:34, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

About the list

Hi. I would like to resubmit the list for List of number-one Billboard Top Latin Albums of 1999 but I can not find the things I have to work on to send it once again to revision. Could you help me with that?

Thanks, Jaespinoza (talk) 18:48, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A favour if you have time

Instead of rushing in all gun's blazing (And having two The White Stripes-related articles in the Featured List candidates), I was wondering whether you could take a brief look over at List of The White Stripes awards. I'm currently checking it against similar featured lists, but have had my confidence shaken about nominating it after being told a significant reference ("Rockonthenet") isn't reliable. Thanks if you have time. Red157(talkcontribs) 20:46, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, for that I feel kind of silly. Can remember the exact point I messed up and am now thankful I I didn't nominate this with that error on the list. Red157(talkcontribs) 21:26, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hope you get this, but brief question - Is the White Stripes discography being kept for the extra period because of an issue that needs addressing or because it needs more than those two peer reviews? Red157(talkcontribs) 21:53, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FA to portal

A proposal at Wikipedia:Village pump (proposals)#Namespace for featured content pages to move some pages (unsure which) of the featured processes to portal pages. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 00:53, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello 2 u 2

I'm back in. I'm trying hard to be positive about the forthcoming season. But the recent result against Spurs was a little worrying, to say the least. We still need a big striker - we've a full house of teenyweenies - and another central defender now that the Doc is out for a few months. Busy IRL, will be feeling my way back in. --Dweller (talk) 09:38, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sarumio

My take is as follows.

 1. Sarumio is capable of productive editing
 2. Sarumio ignores consensus, discussion, helpful suggestions and ultimately masses of warnings
 3. Sarumio is obstinate and insistent and determined to make the most insignificant changes, en-masse, regardless of what anyone else thinks (see point 2) to the extent that tedious minutiae have repeatedly become the focus of edit warring, disruption and almost unbelievable aggravation.

If it weren't for point 1, I'd say just give him a medium/short block (a few weeks) to prevent further disruption, on the assumption that Sarumio might come to his senses and stop the POINTy edit warring on his return, but I think we know that's unlikely.

I would therefore recommend the following: post to ANI recommending a very specific topic ban on Sarumio editing football club articles. If this ban is ignored, I think you'd have to consider proposing either a long block or a site ban.

All of this is a shame, as the guy is clearly passionate and intelligent. --Dweller (talk) 13:14, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Personally, I'd leave any CU stuff until after the above is resolved. Per BEANS I'm staying shtum on detail. --Dweller (talk) 13:47, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: FLC

I understand; I certainly don't take it personally. I have been away and did not have wiki-access for the last two days, so it's been difficult to know what was done and what was not. Alan Shearer Peer Review

Hi, I noticed your name at the volunteers list for Peer Reviews along with football, and wondered if you could pop over to Alan Shearer and have a look for any possible improvements on the way to FA status and list them at the peer review page. I can see just by the amount of messages today (and the fact that you are an admin and bureaucrat) that you are particularly in-demand at the mo, so if you haven't the time, no worries - there has already been some feedback. Thanks - Toon05 20:32, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Excellent, you certainly went through with a fine tooth comb (whatever the hell one of those is), I'll try and combat those issues. One point though, the date linking is to allow user preference date layout (MOS:UNLINKYEARS), i.e. Americans could see it as August 5 2008 whereas I would see it as 5 August 2008, someone else 2008 August 5. Other than that I shall get to work! - Toon05 15:07, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
With regard to your bit about the "Early Life" section being a bit family-life-light, I've added info, and I considered writing about how he played football in the garden with his sheet-metal worker father from the time he could walk, but it all seems a little bit fluffy and unimportant. I don't really know what more to write about his family, his autobiography doesn't really bring up anything especially interesting. It's all that cliched working class geordie stuff; how his dad would save up money to buy him Newcastle kit, how he played on the streets with older, bigger kids. I don't really know that it warrants inclusion. What do you think of the setup now? - Toon05 16:16, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Review Stripped

Hey, I'm the one, who requested this article to be peer reviewed! I just wanted to ask you something!: You said following "you call her a @#%$" how do you pronounce @#%$? remember Wikipedia is not censored" I wasn't the one who wrote "@#%S"- Blender Magazine already censored it and I don't know what it should stand for! I mean it could be stand for more than one word!

Additionally, you told me you I had to trim down the personnel part! I really have no idea how I should do that, because I really don't know which part of the stuff I should remove.

FLC

As I was reading some other FLC reviews, I was thrilled to see that you are of the opinion that our featured lists should not look robotic, and that convention should be broken. I am very happy with the FLC community for bucking convention. It is, I believe, necessary for editors to be able to make contributions in the way they prefer, and not to be forced into perfectly straight lines. Thanks again! List of (Football Competion) winners etc.

Hi, I just thought of something at a peer review which was to sorting locations in football lists by country first e.g. Barcelona, Spain given by Spain, Barcelona. Before being bold and changing them, as you have put alot of work into many of these articles I thought I'd stop by and see if someone had suggested it before, and there was a good reason not to do it or if you thought it was a good/bad idea. Thanks Rambo's Revenge (talk) 07:18, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, would you mind giving Britney Spears an in depth review? Re:User:Historicpastime‎, Assyrian Kings and "fan supports"

Yeah, last night's relay was pretty good. Unfortunately, Canada hasn't been doing so well, but our best days are ahead of us. I love it when users get angry that their nom was failed and blame the closer, as if it's our fault nobody reviewed the article. I hate to say it, but that's how I reacted when my first FLC was failed, I'm not even going to tell you what article it was because my reaction is pretty embarrassing. I'll take a look at the discussion. While we're on the subject, I know you hate backlogs, but perhaps it wouldn't hurt to leave FLCs with no opposition open a few days longer... -- Scorpion0422 21:36, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
