== ICER Brands, LLC ==

[[User:Dmanzor|Dmanzor]] ([[User talk:Dmanzor|talk]]) 14:55, 3 October 2008 (UTC)HI, I am curious as to why you deleted the "ICER Brands, LLC" Page? It includes the histories longevity, and credible companies that the they provide marketing and Product development serrvices for. It is relevant because the brands which they work with are large international brand (i.e- Apple Bottoms.. which doies 300mil + at retail in the US, as well as millions more intyernationally). ICER owns the sole licensing rights to that company, as well as others. The article was written in a very neutral context as well. Please tell me what else needs to be done to repost this page without it being deleted.

Thanks

Introduction: A Word From Eco About His Talk Page

Welcome to my little corner of Wikipedia. I am happy to receive messages from the Wikipedia family, and I will respond directly on your Talk Page. Also, be aware that I am e-mail enabled – if you have a private concern that you wish to express or a bit of hate mail that you really, really need to throw my way, send it along by e-mail and I will respond with all due speed. Cheers! Ecoleetage (talk) 15:25, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks!

Thanks for writing the Snack Boy article. How did you get inspired to do it? Did you know Terry? 8 September 2008

Masonic Congrats

What did you become, an Entered Apprentice or a Master Mason? Either way, congrats.--King Bedford I Seek his grace 04:33, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

I'm glad that you liked it. Hey, believe it or not, I was checking to see if you were active at the same time that you sent the message. See my brother, my mission here is to tell the stories of historic and heroic figures like Isabel Gonzalez, who for some unknown reason have been forgotten and have fallen between the cracks of history. WP:FILM elections

Congratulations on running for WP:FILM coordinator! I wish you the best of luck. Remember, voting starts on September 15, so don't forget! There are a lot of old and new users awaiting your vote. Lastly, may the best man (or woman) win!

My RfA

Thank you for your participation at my RfA, which passed with a count of (166/43/7). I appreciate your comments and in my actions as an administrator I will endeavor to act in ways that earn your full confidence, even though I don't have it now. Cirt (talk) 01:39, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You doing okay?

Good to see your contribs list being up to date. You doing okay? I'm glad you're back in action. Today, I rescued two ridiculously bad articles from speedy deletion, and I was thinking of you as I did so. I am now an expert on a profane ventriloquist and a website designed for seven year old girls. Heh. Only on wikipedia. Glad you're here, Eco. Smiles and hugs and such. Back on the farm

Hey Doug, I returned from my WikiBreak. One door closed rather abruptly (my failed RfA), but another opened unexpectedly (a movie audition that was successful, go figure). I just added a pair of new Ag articles for the WikiProject: Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (a redlinked title) and Daron Joffe (a bright young organic farming leader). More to follow. Hope all is well. Ecoleetage (talk) 00:34, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Good to see you're back! Being an admin isn't all it's cracked up to be. You're a damned good editor, whereas I do my share of copyediting but don't really write much - I do a lot of deleting and moving discussions and fixing cut and paste moves and commenting on policy, but I don't write articles. Work on your core competency and try to get more articles to GA or FA status for now. --Doug.(talk contribs) 01:13, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The farm is certainly an interesting way to characterize it... or so it feels at times. Erik the Red 2 (AVE·CAESAR) 01:16, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think I'd choose this farm. TravellingCari 02:18, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WB, partially copied from my own talk. Welcome back! I'm sorry I haven't answered your e-mail. These past two and this coming week are insane. Opening of the arts season. Thanks so much for helping out here! also your subject here got Down on the Farm in my head. For all the songs that are blue linked, that one well should be. TravellingCari

Not too familiar with Phish's work. Just had a squiz at your new article, love the Larry hook. Speaking of Waterbury, if you're familiar with the area, Timexpo. I wrote that after driving back from Boston and spotting it while stuck in traffic. TravellingCari 02:24, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome back!

I emailed you a few times but I'm not sure if any of them got through because I didn't get any replies... but it's good to see you back. Hopefully I can get more active soon. :) Master of Puppets Call me MoP! :) 03:43, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, it's great to have you back. I haven't been able to look over DYK for a while because I'm quite busy in college, but I might have some more free time this weekend if I'm lucky. Anyway, great to see you around again... :) Thingg 04:11, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I got a few emails from you and replied, though something tells me that they didn't come through (I sent myself some school assignments and didn't receive them). I'm not sure why it's like that but... whatever. Master of Puppets Call me MoP! :) 00:00, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

African cinema

Great work, great to see you back after your much needed break. I've done a fair bit of work on African cinema myself and created the film lists and Cinema of Kenya. Note. Use Category:Burkinabé films not Cinema of Burkina Faso. I'll make a cinema template to use in the articles. Also note List of Burkinabé films, if you could link the films on there and blue link a few that would be great. If you want a list of some notable Africa films that are missing see List of FESPACO award winners. Theres a good mix of countries in there. The Bald One White cat 09:33, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can it be a coicidence that the director of that film, Dani Kouyaté, his father, Sotigui Kouyaté, and his first film, Keïta! l'Héritage du griot were all DYKs by me? Great job on this--by the way, I recently started Ben Diogaye Beye, a Senegalese filmmaker and nominated it for DYK. As you can see, I recently received the 50 DYK medal. I'm trying to keep up with you! Your friend Eddy of the wiki[citation needed] 10:38, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I know, its a good when things are connected too. Congrats also on your 50 DYK. One thing though note the diff on here. Just needed a cast section which should appear on all articles and some tweaking to the categories. Other than that great new article! Its s hame we can't expand some of the 1910s silent shorts in the same way! The Bald One White cat 20:50, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have a request. Could you start an article on the Cinema of Senegal? The Bald One White cat 20:59, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

yay!

Excellent to see you back, mate! And that's damn fast, too; i've only managed to get one up (although in my defence I am working on a Featured list). Ironholds 10:36, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of request for deletion of editor Ecoleetage :)

Ecoleetage, the editor you are, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that you satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space. Your opinions on yourself are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at User:GlassCobra/Editor for deletion#Ecoleetage and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit during the discussion but should not remove the nomination (unless you wish not to participate); such removal will not end the deletion discussion (actually it will). Thank you, and have a good sense of humor :).

No matter what happens, (you getting deleted and all), I'm seriously glad to see you back to your good form. I like what you do here, even the "wrong queue" stuff :-). If, no strike that, when, you are giving your Oscar acceptance speech, I very much want you to say "and thank you to 'the Keeper of Wikipedia' for keeping that website sane". I'll have an aneurysm and die a happy and fulfilled man. You rock eco, don't let anyone convince you otherwise. You are so much better off than us lowly, red-tape bound, bureaucracy entrenched, politically correct admins, honest to goodness. Keeper ǀ 76 20:51, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Awwwwwww, thanks! Actually, I am reminded of the Leslie Bricusse-Anthony Newley song: "I'm gonna build a mountain, from a little hill /I'm gonna build a mountain, least I hope I will. / I'm gonna build a mountain, I'm gonna build it high / I don't know how Im gonna do it, only know I'm gonna try." (I'd go further, but those pesky copyright bots would probably show up.) More fun stuff to follow... :) Ecoleetage (talk) 21:01, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Don't ask me why I'm stalking your talk page, but could you please tell me who the heck are Leslie Bricusse-Anthony Newley? Oh, and they are copyright robots. Always be politically correct, if you want to go anywhere in life. :) Your friend Eddy of the wiki[citation needed] 21:19, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re. RfB comments

Ecoleetage, I am glad you came to my talk page about this. I probably will not release your e-mails or allow access to them by third parties, as I do not want this situation to escalate and I do not wish to spoil your wiki-experience. However, I can no longer trust you, or even assume good faith on your part. What you did at my RfB, after the e-mails, was unimaginably ugly. Húsönd 17:07, 19 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have withdrawn my comments and my participation from your RfB. It pains me to see that you repeated my RfA error by mistaking opinion and commentary on content for a personal attack. I believe that my concerns were valid and I had a right, as a Wikipedia editor, to express why I felt there were problems with the RfB. However, it was not a personal attack in any way, shape, or form, and I am genuinely sorry that you felt there was some malicious motive in my !vote. The idea of hurting anybody is wholly antithetical to the "real" me -- I could vent over frustration, as anyone does. But to genuinely hurt anyone? If I were that type of person, I would have offed myself years ago. Ecoleetage (talk) 17:34, 19 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think, Husond, that it is rather unfair and ugly of you to say that you cannot trust Eco anymore. Eco's comments were fair and honest, and were valid no matter what the e-mails say. I am withdrawing my support from your RfB because of your badgering of perfectly valid opposes such as Eco and your blackmail. The word probably also concerns me. El Salvador

Hey have a read of Fuerzas Populares de Liberación Farabundo Martí. Interesting stuff isn't it. The shady Salvadoran underworld. God I love Latin American history. It is just so dark and corrupt! The Bald One White cat 21:38, 19 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Just remember though that whatever you have done as implied above, I'm not up what was said, neither do I want to know, but you still remain a respectable editor in my book. It was unfortunate what happened, but some things don't work out and even the greatest of people sometimes say things out of context or that they later regret, we are ony human after all. I am always a keen believer that people should move on and forget about it and look to the future and find new ways to enjoy life and have fun. On behalf of the Freemasonry Project, thank you for the stub. I especially like the fact that you cite more than just the GLV website (an all too common flaw for many articles on Grand Lodges). Star Wars marathon

Could you please elaborate as to why the article that I have created (which concerns a relevant subject) has been slapped with a notice? I feel deeply offended at this. --Bravo Plantation (talk) 15:50, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! The article was tagged (not slapped – I’m not Moe Howard) because I felt it did not meet Wikipedia’s requirements for notability, particularly in regard to WP:RS. I could be mistaken, of course, which is why I put it up for AfD instead of trying to get it erased with a Speedy Delete tag. With AfD, the community can provide consensus on the article’s merits. If you can find references to back your claims of notability, that will help immensely. Please don’t take offence – any fan of Bruce Forsyth and the Two Ronnies obviously has good judgment, so there is an excellent chance you will come out ahead. Cheers! I've added some more references to the Star Wars marathon mentioning the watch-all-the-films-together-on-DVD phenomenon as well as the official marathons. An interesting idea that came up from one site I researched on was to watch Episode IV, followed by Episode V, then to watch Episodes I, II and III as a flashback before finishing with Episode VI! -- JediLofty Talk to meFollow me 13:02, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As it happens it was a name I'd heard of, and a quick Google assured me that it was that guy and he is notable (BBC has references for example). But the first draft did barely assert notability so I don't think the tag was wrong - just a bit hasty maybe. I didn't even see it was you who'd placed the tag to be honest. No worries. Kissy Simmons

Hi Eco, I'm just curious re here. Which sources didn't you think were reliable? I can't find problems with any of them. Did you mean BroadwayWorld? There's no issue there so as I can tell. Hope you're having a good weekend playing in the rain! TravellingCari 21:10, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ahh I disagree. This is why I also tend to stay out of Broadway discussions. BroadwayWorld is often the main reliable source for casting and show announcements. While news can be submitted, there is editorial control (apart from forums, of course). Playbill I think you have only hald of it. While the shows provide the center pages, they have no control over the articles. Each show only owns ~8 pages per issue for their show while Playbill the magazine owns and controls the rest of the real estate. Show, casting, etc. announcements may be included there but they're written by Playbill staff so there is oversight. TravellingCari 00:52, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Gotcha, I do't know too much about the Hollywood side, I'm far more familiar with the New York media. While there is some COI inherent in the industry, I think there's enough neutrality. I think a lot of bit actors are dubious but I let it go. It's like professors, and schools. Sometimes it's easier. TravellingCari 01:02, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Congrats on becoming one of the project's coordinators. I'd recommend that you add the main coordinator page to your watchlist so that you can join in on the discussions as they arise. I'm sure Girolamo will have some main points of discussion in the coming days (he's busy for the next few). Right now, I think the main thing our project should be focusing on is the 0.7 release, which Girolamo and I have been working on fine-tuning. We're trying to set up a drive to get the project's members to work on choosing reliable revisions for the release, but we just need to hammer out the details first. Thanks

Thank you for the kind message. I just created a bunch of really short stubs, but eventually they would be evolved to a status for DYK qualities. I also appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia. Best regards.--Caspian blue (talk) 12:50, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

DYK congrats

Thanks! I'm not yet up to your level, but I'm churning out articles and DYK's at a pretty good rate. How go things at your end of the wiki? Haven't spoken to you for ages. Ironholds 15:18, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

On-wiki: Fairly good, DYK's as you can see and, thanks to by new access to a law-library, i'm looking to move the Court of Common Pleas article up to GA; I've got a not-finished copy in my sandbox1 if you'd like to compare. Also odd AfD's and getting a sockpuppeteer banned (again), thank god (causing a lot of trouble around the Pure Reason Revolution article). Off-wiki: Back at uni and liking the studies, although not the two days of wiki-withdrawal before my internet got connected. Ironholds 15:31, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the heads up - there is a new one click method to leave the notices on the User's talk pages, so I stupidly assumed it also took care of the article talk pages. They are all done now (by hand) and I thank you for catching my mistake, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 15:42, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

Eco, your thread you started is exactly what I needed today. I've been feeling bummed (I really am mostly leaving), and I've had some very hearty laughs at the songs my stalkers have come up with. Thanks for the thread eco, be well. I hope things are going well with your gig, looking forward to seeing your name in lights. Of course, I don't know your name, but I think I'll recognize you :-). During your oscar speech, I demand that you give a shout out to "keeper76 of the Wikipedia"....I'll be on the couch laughing my buttocks off, and my wife won't know why (she doesn't know my username). Cheers friend, be well Keeper ǀ 76 21:31, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, Keeper -- if you are watching here (since I think you are my only TPS), be well and remember that you can always drop me a line if you ever feel bummed and need a laugh. I am e-mail enabled, so you are welcome to say Hi away from the Wiki-eyeballs. Be well, my friend. Ecoleetage (talk) 00:34, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Upside down cake! My pastry looks like a Frank Gehry nightmare, so I call everything upside down cake. Ecoleetage (talk) 00:48, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Mad Adventures of Bobamnertiopsis

Yay, you're back! I had actually expected your hiatus to be longer than that, but I'm certainly not disappointed that you're back on Wikipedia now! So, what have I been doing? Not enough, honestly. Thanks to a little (big) thing called school, my capacity for writing and editing has been diminished. I have far less time than I'd like, but I try to edit when I can. I helped my friend EnjoiNico (a real, live friend whom I know in the physical world) get an article he was slaving over to GA status: No Age. Other than that, my edits have been inconsequential. I've was was working on Tropical Storms and hurricanes around the time you left, but that phase went poof. Hopefully, I'll get in the swing/loop of writing again. (I haven't had a DYK since June!) I'm super-glad to see that you're back! Cheerio! -BobAmnertiopsisChatMe! 02:37, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Congratulations

A belated congratulations for your election as a film coordinator. I certainly look forward to working with you. FWiW, I recently had a series of publishing deadlines to meet so my attention was diverted of late, but I will be coming back "on line" little by little. ICER Brands, LLC

Dmanzor (talk) 14:55, 3 October 2008 (UTC)HI, I am curious as to why you deleted the "ICER Brands, LLC" Page? It includes the histories longevity, and credible companies that the they provide marketing and Product development serrvices for. It is relevant because the brands which they work with are large international brand (i.e- Apple Bottoms.. which doies 300mil + at retail in the US, as well as millions more intyernationally). ICER owns the sole licensing rights to that company, as well as others. The article was written in a very neutral context as well. Please tell me what else needs to be done to repost this page without it being deleted.[reply]
