Kandagallu (also known as Kandagal) (Kannada: ಕಂದಗಲ್ಲು, is a village in the South Indian state of Karnataka.
It is 30 kilometers from Davangere city. The population is approximately 5,000. Education is about 65%. To the west side of the village there is a small lake with the historical Sri Kalleshwara Temple at the center.
Surrounding area
It is surrounded by 2000 acres of coconut trees, beetle nut trees (Areca Nut), shrubs, herbs and rice paddy fields, providing a habitat for peacocks, duckbins and migratory birds in winter.
This village is by the Haridravathi River, also known as Shyagale halla, which flows through the year, providing water for farming.
