Rush concert chronology |
The Clockwork Angels Tour was a concert tour by Canadian rock band Rush in support of their latest album Clockwork Angels. The tour was announced in April 2012, began on September 7, 2012 in Manchester, New Hampshire and ended on August 4, 2013 in Kansas City, Missouri.[1][2] A European leg announced in May 2012 began in Manchester, England and ended in Helsinki, Finland.[3] Before the last show in Helsinki, the band took part in their first European festival in 35 years at the Sweden Rock Festival.[4] The tour is notable for featuring an eight-piece "Clockwork Angels String Ensemble", marking the first time the band has toured with accompanying musicians aside from opening acts.[5] On November 15, 2012 it was announced on their official website that the shows in Phoenix and Dallas will be filmed for a DVD release sometime in 2013. On June 8th, the official trailer for the film was released by Fadoo Productions. On September 16, the official film entitled "Clockwork Angels Tour" was announced including the list of songs to be featured on the DVD/Blu-Ray release as well as the bonus features.
