Vizag Metro is a proposed rapid transit system in the Indian city of Visakhapatanam. The system is proposed to reduce traffic congestion as well as it is biggest of Andhra Pradesh.[1]

He spoke to the ADRM and the Senior Divisional Engineer on railway traffic, passengers alighting etc. He also obtained information on widening of roads from the Chief City Planner of GVMC.

DPR is on process and N Sreedharan will submit the DPR of visakhapatnam metro rail on 1st week of july 2015 to AP government.

Plan

As Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi announced in his US Trip that Visakhapatnam along with Ajmer and Allahabad will be made as a smart city in collaboration with the United States & rolled out plans for metro rail in Vishakapatnam. Chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, N Chandrababu Naidu also appointed Former DMRC Chief E. Sridharan as consultant to look into Visakhapatnam Metro .[3]

Detailed Project Report(DPR) is ready and will be submitted to Chief Minister Shri Chandra Babu Naidu in Delhi by Sree Dharan.
