"Grass Ain't Greener" is a song by American recording artist Chris Brown. It was released for digital download on May 5, 2016 as the lead single from Brown’s upcoming eighth solo album Heartbreak on a Full Moon, with the record label RCA Records.[1] The song was produced by Nikhil.[2]
Background
On January 10, 2016 Brown had previewed some unreleased songs on his Periscope and Instagram profiles, showing him dancing and singing these songs, and "Grass Ain't Greener" was one of these songs.[3][4][5] After on April 27 he wrote on his Twitter profile "TEAM BREEZY TO DO LIST: 1. OHB MIXTAPE DROPS FRIDAY 2.SECTION BOYZ, QUAVO, OHB SONG "WHIPPIN" 3. NEW CHRIS BROWN Single drops MAY 5 4. OHOAN TOUR EUROPE 5. DOCUMENTARY 6. PARTY YOUR ASS OFF! 7. TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!!!" announcing the publication of a new single on May 5.[6][7][8] After that, on May 3 he has revealed that the single published will be "Grass Ain't Greener", showing its cover art and announcing that it will be the lead single from Brown’s eighth solo album Heartbreak on a Full Moon.[9] The single was released on May 5, 2016, the day of Brown's 27th birthday.[10]
