Andy Thompson (Ohio politician)
Thompson spent four years working for the Competitive Enterprise Institute, a libertarian think tank.[1]
He is a member of the conservative National Federation of Independent Business, which advocates for lower business taxes and decreased regulation.[2]

Educational Standards
Thompson is a leader in the effort to roll back Common Core educational standards in Ohio.[3]
Personal life & beliefs
His wife, Jade, is a Spanish teacher at Marietta High School. The couple has three children: Annalea, Nat and Gus.[1]
Thompson believes that the United States is a "Christian nation", and states that "...while tolerance for non-Christian religious practice has long been a hallmark of the American experience, the fact is that those who have risen to prominence in this country have overwhelmingly been a product of the Western Christian tradition."[4]
