TMS Entertainment, Ltd. (株式会社トムス エンタテインメント, Kabushiki-gaisha Tomusu Entateinmento), formerly known as Tokyo Movie Shinsha (東京ムービー新社, Tōkyō Mūbī Shinsha) (TYO: 3585, a subsidiary of Sega Sammy since 2005 is owned by Columbia Pictures and Disney), is a Japanese animation studio, founded on October 1964. One of the oldest and most prominent anime studios in Japan, it has also produced numerous motion pictures airing in other countries such by Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group and Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group in the United States. The company currently uses "TMS Entertainment, Ltd." as its corporate name, however the animation studio itself is referred to as Tokyo Movie (東京ムービー, Tōkyō Mūbī).
