The discography of Kylie Minogue, an Australian pop singer, consists of ten new material studio albums, nine compilations, four live albums, eleven remix albums, and fifty-three singles. Minogue has sold over 68 million records worldwide.[1]

Minogue's music career was a result of her popularity in the soap opera Neighbours. In 1987, she released a cover "The Loco-Motion" in Australia, and it spent seven weeks at number one, becoming the highest selling single in Australia of the 1980s.[2] Minogue based herself in the UK after signing with PWL, and began recording her debut album Kylie with Stock, Aitken & Waterman. The first single "I Should Be So Lucky" became a worldwide number one, topping the UK charts for five consecutive weeks.[3] The album sold five million copies worldwide[4] and was a moderate success in the U.S. where "The Loco-Motion" reached number three.[5] The 1989 follow-up Enjoy Yourself produced two number one singles in the UK with "Hand on Your Heart" and "Tears On My Pillow", the theme from her film debut The Delinquents.[6]

Minogue's third album Rhythm of Love, released in 1990, marked a defining turning point in her career.[7] The album showcased a more club-orientated sound, a highly sexual look and provocative music videos.[8] Despite spawning four top ten singles, album sales were significantly fewer. Minogue released her fourth album Let's Get to It in 1991, followed by the compilation Greatest Hits. Having completed her contract with PWL, she signed to Deconstruction in 1993.[9] Her 1994 album Kylie Minogue aimed to reinvent Minogue as a credible performer, distancing herself from her earlier work. The first single "Confide in Me" reached number two in the UK[6] and number one in Australia.[10] In 1995, Minogue released "Where the Wild Roses Grow", a duet with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, to critical acclaim.[11] Minogue's most personal and experimental album to date Impossible Princess was released in 1997.[12] It is noted for its collaborations with Manic Street Preachers, and for Minogue writing all lyrics by herself with the exception of one song(whose lyrics she co-wrote) as well as nearly all the melodies.[12]

After disappointing sales, Minogue moved to Parlophone and in 2000 released "Spinning Around", her first UK number one in ten years. The single and album Light Years marked a return to her dance-pop roots, and revitalised Minogue's career. However, it was "Can't Get You out of My Head" from the 2001 album Fever, a number one in over forty countries, that gave her widespread international recognition.[13] Both single and album became the highest sellers of her career, and bought Minogue back into the U.S. top ten. Fourth single "Come into My World" was awarded Minogue's first Grammy for 2004's "Best Dance Recording".[9] Body Language followed in 2003, and her second official greatest hits package Ultimate Kylie was released in 2004. In May 2005, Minogue was diagnosed with breast cancer, forcing her to postpone all touring and recording commitments.[12] In 2007, she resumed her career with the release of her tenth album X.
