Orphaned non-free image (Image:GreenBandJuno.JPEG)

⚠

Thanks for uploading Image:GreenBandJuno.JPEG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Fair use rationale for Image:Cont.US.JPEG

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Cont.US.JPEG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Melesse (talk) 23:53, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your signature

Hey again. I noticed this from your previous message on my talk page. Your signature must contain at least one link to either your user page, user talk page, and/or contributions page (see WP:SIGLINK). Currently your signature does not contain any links which means SineBot treats all your messages as unsigned. I suggest you change your signature to the following:

Loopus9

Code: '''[[User:Loopus9|<span style="color:blue">Loopus9</span>]]'''

Retains colors and styling, but is now a validly linked signature. Also see WP:CUSTOMSIG. -- ObsidinSoul 22:37, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, I was just doing that as you sent me this message. Thanks again. :) Loopus9 22:42, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You can use the text-shadow parameter in <span> tags. e.g. Obsidi♠n Soul
(Offtopic: hey... I kinda like that! Maybe I'll adopt it for my own sig, haha, I'm changing mine again currently)
Is made from '''<span style="text-shadow:LIGHTBLUE -0.2em -0.2em 0.2em;">Obsidi♠n Soul</span>'''. See this site for more help. It is, however, not visible in some browsers.
You can also see numerous examples of custom sigs in this page: User:Athaenara/Gallery. Might get inspiration from there. Just edit (but don't save!) to see the source codes. Note however, that some of those are deprecated by new policies (images are not allowed anymore, and all sigs are limited to 255 characters).-- Obsidi♠n Soul 19:20, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Superheroes

Excuse me Sir/Ma'am, but if my recent addition of information to the superhero page was a "violation of Wikipedia policies", then I am afraid to say that Wikipedia seems to have a policy of concealing the truth if it is sensitive, although verified (having used Wikipedia over several years, I am sure that's not true). If you have ever read about a superhero (if you haven't, I suggest you read that very same article on Wikipedia. Oh, and do check out the photo of Superman on that page), you will know that the edit I made added a vital piece of missing information to that page. If my language was offensive, why don't you enter the same information (which is, as I said, a very pertaining, albeit ignored piece of information on superheroes) yourself somewhere on the page in the language that you prefer?

Constructive

I'm afraid I don't see why my edit to the page V Festival was non-constructive. I deleted a broken table, and left the fixed table underneath it. If it is wikipedia's policy to leave broken tables, then the site's policy itself seems non-constructive. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.100.10.16 (talk) 16:17, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your request for rollback

Hi Lukep913. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! FASTILY (TALK) 23:37, 23 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the barnstar

Dang you!

You've beaten me at least twice today to vandalism! LikeLakers2 (talk) 18:07, 5 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that, it always happens to me too, so you're not alone. -- Luke Talk 18:12, 5 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I was meaning for that to be more of a nice thing, as I don't mind that it happened. I basically was meaning it as more of a joke. Also, what are you using to revert vandalism? I use Lupin's anti-vandal tool. LikeLakers2 (talk) 18:16, 5 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I use a combination of rollback and Twinkle. I use mainly use rollback for blatant vandalism and Twinkle for persistent vandalism. I also use Twinkle to warn users and request deletions to articles. It's actually quite easy to use. -- Luke Talk 18:20, 5 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

No vandalism was caused.

Facts!

They were facts, were they not...? =)

Hello, page blanking and vandalism are not tolerated on Wikipedia, unless you provide an edit summary. Even if they were facts, please add them right into the article correctly and use reliable sources. Thank you. -- Luke Talk 22:59, 8 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fiona Armstrong page

Thank you for helping me amend the Lady Armstrong page. It seems some bigoted fools with an axe to grind vandalised it. Why do you keep deleting edits I make. This is all public information, directly from the open records of the California Bankruptcy Court. Ricste (talk) 23:54, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Ricste, I reverted your edits because you did not identify any reliable sources. In order to add information, you need to have reliable sources attributed to your edit(s). You can go to WP:IRS to help you identify reliable sources. -- Luke (Talk) 23:57, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Big signature = Big issue (to some)

Hi,

your signature is too big. Using the 'big' tags the way you do since 10 August 2011(UTC) is against policy. I personally don't have an issue with that, but it's known to drive some other wikipedians up the wall.

While there is no hard limit how many pixels a sig may occupy, and yours wouldn't violate it anyway if there were one, some oppose big tags in sigs vehemently. So...

Please remove the two pairs of 'big' and '/big' tags. Cheers. - ¡Ouch! (hurt me / more pain) 09:38, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I didn't know that. Thanks for telling me, I removed them. -- Luke (Talk) 14:04, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In regard to this article, after it was tagged for speedy deletion, the article creator blanked the whole page. That means that they agreed to the speedy deletion. In such a case, rather than reverting the blanking, one should tag the page with {{db-author}} to indicate that the article creator has blanked the page and thus consented to speedy deletion. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 00:02, 28 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

August 2011

Hi. Thank you for your help with the vital work of patrolling new pages. I noticed that you are not marking some of the pages you've reviewed as patrolled. Please do remember to click the 'mark this page as patrolled' link at the bottom of the new page if you have performed the standard patrolling tasks. Where appropriate, doing so saves time and work by informing fellow patrollers of your review of the page, so that they do not duplicate efforts. Thanks again for volunteering your time at the new pages patrol project. DoDo Bird Brain (talk) 22:01, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The reason I don't mark pages as "patrolled" is because I don't get to new articles from NewPages. Rather, I view them from the edit filter log, so it doesn't show "Mark as Patrolled". Hope this clears it up. -- Luke (Talk) 22:08, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oh ok sorry about that I thought you were a new page patroller like myself, makes like easy when pages get marked :) DoDo Bird Brain (talk) 22:10, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
