"List of songs recorded"
Hi Cris. I'm working on a list based on your List of songs recorded by Chrisye, and thought I'd ask you a few things about it before I start working on the prose. The band in question, Faith No More, have released a live album, though all the live recordings on it are already present on other albums beforehand so they're included in the list anyway; would say to list them again as separate recordings or just treat the live material as being the same songs? I'm opting for the latter myself, though your list did pretty well so I figured your opinion would be worth getting. Thanks! GRAPPLE X 00:44, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
- To be honest I just based mine off List of songs recorded by Rihanna. To answer your question, in the list I made I treated songs with new arrangements, which would have required a separate recording session, as separate songs (hence why "Pelangi" is on there twice). Chrisye had a habit of recording different songs with the same title, so there's quite a bit of repetition. Tl;dr: I'd say go for it, but be open to further input during FLC. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 01:12, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
- Fair enough, I'll add them in so that every album is covered. I can remove it again if deemed unnecessary. Thanks for your help. GRAPPLE X 02:05, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
- Not sure if you're much of an alt rock/experimental music fan but the finished list is here; if you have the time your opinion on the lead would be hugely welcome. I'm pretty happy about the table and the actual listings though so I think they're okay. And give me a ping when you've got Soegija ready for review, and I'll run through it when I get the chance. GRAPPLE X 01:26, 3 July 2012 (UTC)
- Looking quickly, I think that a bit more focus on the songs is necessary... any signature songs should be noted, some of their better-performing singles, etc. A lead focused on albums would be good for a discography. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 01:35, 3 July 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, that made a lot of sense. Thanks! GRAPPLE X 03:49, 3 July 2012 (UTC)

Hello Crisco 1492. I noticed that you closed this AfD as a speedy keep because there were no "No" votes except the nominator. I realize the discussion was a bit messy, but I did cast a no vote, so speedy keep was probably inappropriate. In any case, it seems the concensus was to keep (although no one demonstrated GNG-compliance which is a shame). Best regards. Jogurney (talk) 12:58, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for bringing that to my attention; yeah, it was buried in between the
bickeringheated debates. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 13:06, 27 June 2012 (UTC)- No worries. Thank you for updating the close. Jogurney (talk) 13:08, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
- You're welcome. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 13:10, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
- Also, given that other subjects that meet subject-specific guidelines have been deleted for not meeting GNG, a speedy keep is inappropriate here. I'd ask that you consider re-opening to let other editors weigh in, or at least turn the closing to an early keep (not speedy) - these things are not open/shut cases and speedy is inappropriate IMHO. The sources provided still do not meet GNG - they are all trivial mentions. We deleted Sandra Fluke (who has thousands of articles written about her)...--KarlB (talk) 13:27, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
- She failed 1E, while this one passed its specific content guideline. You were already reminded about other articles having no consequence in AFD debates. It is pretty good reading. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 15:03, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
- I realize that; my point is, that debate was not speedied, nor should this one have been. Henry Oxley is a similar case; played a few games, meets NSPORTS, but doesn't clearly meet GNG. There are dozens of other similar AfD discussions that have ended in different ways for sportspeople of dubious notability. If you read the talk page of NSPORTS, and the NSPORTS guideline itself, it is pretty clear that presumed notability can be challenged (and it is, regularly). Thus, I still feel this was an improper early close. If you still want to keep it closed, in any case it should not be listed as speedy, since GNG is far from being met. Thanks!--KarlB (talk) 15:07, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
- Oxley should, rightfully, be closed as a keep within two days. If the only thing you ask for is a change of terminology on a page which will be read by, at most, one person a month starting a couple of weeks after the debate is closed, I'll change speedy to keep. If you think it should have been deleted and disagree with a closure of keep, please feel free to go to the review panel or wait for a period of time before nominating for deletion again (I'd suggest at least a month) — Crisco 1492 (talk) 15:15, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks; no just removal of speedy is what I'm requesting here, although my preference would have been to allow the discussion to continue to allow non-sports editors to weigh in, but I'm not going to debate this endlessly. As it stood, consensus to keep was clear as an outcome, even if IMHO the WP:N states otherwise, but delete was the proper reading of consensus, so DRV is not appropriate.--KarlB (talk) 15:37, 27 June 2012 (UTC)

Third relists
Hi Crisco, I noticed you relisted a few AFDs for a third time. Per WP:RELIST, third or further relists should be accompanied by "a short explanation... why [you] did not consider the debate sufficient." I hope you'll consider doing this in the future. There are some cases, especially those which have attracted no comments since the last relisting, where the debate has essentially ended, which may happen even with little participation. Best, BDD (talk) 16:54, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reminder. I included rationales with a couple, where I considered the relisting may possibly be controversial. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 23:16, 28 June 2012 (UTC)

Adoption
Hello. I want to say thank to you for your detailed instruction. I find things in items 1 are relatively easy and I can also upload fair use/free images. As you are an English teacher, I think you also teach high school students (I am) and have some good advice in learning English. I am studying at English class. My grammar is not so bad but I often have difficulty in writing essays. What can I do to improve it? I know Wikipedia is not a forum/chatroom but this is involved in my article work here. Best regards (Btw, I will use your talk page to discuss as it will be easier for you to notice)--Morning Sunshine (talk) 03:42, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, I am. I have some private students who are in high school, but I (used to) teach at an elementary school. To improve your English on-Wiki, I'd suggest asking a person who copyedits why s/he made a change s/he did, to better learn the rules. Also, for on-Wiki at least, choose to stick with a specific English variant. Don't switch between American, British, and Australian English, as it will be fairly unprofessional. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 03:48, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry for the late reply. I think it can be you, isn't it? You are a great editors who has some GAs and FAs here. And could you please explain more about the English variants. I don't know whether I Don't switch between them. Again, thank you for your advice--Morning Sunshine (talk) 11:12, 30 June 2012 (UTC)
- Well, for an example, you could check the subject-object agreement (you is singular, editors isn't). There's not much I can explain that isn't already in Comparison of American and British English (very useful read). I'd be happy to adopt you. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 14:29, 30 June 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you for the article. It may takes me quite long time to read and learn from it. I'm on the way of searching for information to create articles. I think it's easier to translate an article in Vietnamese than make a brand new one. I'm going to start an article about Vietnamese poets. However, I am worried about the notability of them as they exists locally, not in any wiki--Morning Sunshine (talk) 10:02, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
- You just need the sources. If you have Vietnamese-language sources it's okay, just like offline sources are okay. Chrisye has like 5 English sources... because all the quality information about him is in Indonesian. And many of the sources are offline, which is totally allowed. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 10:09, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

Bani Mustafa Article
I am the author of the article "Bani Mustafa", and I would like to make some points regarding the unfair deletion process of the article.
1. The deletion proposal was made by the user JohnRak as part of the dispute reagrding the contents of the article Jerash here. The relation between the two users is quiet obvious, as the user JohnRak admitted that he works with the user Historyfeelings in the real life as shown here. This made him if not socketpuppet a hired crowd.
2. The PROD deletion proposal overpassed the Articles for Deletion (AfD) process which is against Wikipedia policy as stated here
3. The PROD deletion proposal was made by the user JohnRak whose creation was dedicated solely for the deletion of the article Bani Mustafa as shown in the history of his contributions as the first contribution for the user was the deletion proposal. Please check here
4. The PROD deletion proposal was made while I was in the process of responding to the AfD. In my response to I depended on the information which I had on hand during that time, which I admit it was not complete.
5. The article was subject to a continuous vandalism since the beginning of the dispute between me and HistoryFeelings over the article Jerash, where the vandalism was made by anonymous IP addresses.
6. I can assure that all the information, which I have included in the article were genuine and authentic. However, most of the sources provided in the article are written in Arabic and are not available on the internet. These resources are available in Jordan and can be obtained from many public libraries, however as I am away now, I have no access to these sources as they are not available online.
7. An article which was written on the website of the Jordanian news agency "Almadenahnews" confirms that, please see the English translation of this article here.
Banimustafa (talk) 09:57, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
- You may want to read COI, as you have created an article with the same title as your user name. I deleted after the AFD here, which was closed in accordance to consensus; the removed PROD had nothing to do with it. You can use non-English sources, although I suggest that you wait for someone else to write an article about you. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 10:06, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

Hm, I'm particularly knowledgeable on bishop-related terms.
