Possibly unfree File:Vandalized Stalin, Fallen Monument Park, Moscow.JPG
I personally took File:Vandalized Stalin, Fallen Monument Park, Moscow.JPG, and the images says so. I thought I released it into public domain. Can this mess with Russian copyright? I'm a bit confused.
Impossible Bottle
Hi there, just wondering why you deleted the whole section on Harry Eng from the Impossible Bottle page? Cheers. 81.104.224.23 (talk) 09:32, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

Hi. You participated in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/VirtueMart, which I closed. Could you look at User talk:Sandstein#Request to undelete the article about VirtueMart and comment whether the sources supplied there make you change your opinion? Regards, Sandstein 17:23, 28 July 2012 (UTC)

- You flagged the Rainbow Gathering:Peace Prayer that I submitted for possible deletion due to questions of copyright. It's an image that I took and I certainly release the image to the public domain, but am not sure how to approach this, since I am not the author of the CONTENT of the photo. Please advise. jaknouse (talk) 15:04, 1 August 2012 (UTC)
Deletions
I've now come across three different and unrelated situations where you requested deletion of content that probably shouldn't have been deleted, though I realize you were acting in good faith. May I suggest that you focus on the worst content first when requesting deletion, and bypass the marginal cases. This will lead to a better utilization of our volunteer resources. Thank you for considering it. Warm regards, Jehochman Talk 00:59, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
You tagged this as {{subst:nsd}}, but there is in fact a source given: "Scanned from February 2004 issue of the magazine İzmir Life". I assume that the next thing to do is to locate a copy of the magazine and check if it is possible to verify the copyright status based on the information in the magazine. --Stefan2 (talk) 13:29, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
- {{subst:npd}} also looks wrong. I think that you will have to check the Turkish magazine in order to determine if the image can be kept or not. --Stefan2 (talk) 13:53, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
Why did you un-nominate Zellers.jpg for deletion?
The image quality is AWFUL! i've already requested a higher-quality version, but it wasn't done. So now, i'm nominating it for deletion and really don't get why you're trying to "save" it. --LABcrabs (talk) 13:47, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
Re: File:New Horizons Liftoff2.jpg
I'm pretty certain I obtained this image from a screenshot of the NASA video feed to the lift-off (it was over six years ago, so you'll forgive if I'm hazy!). How should I do the source? (Meanwhile, I'll continue to check the various launch photo archives to make sure). Tompw (talk) (review) 15:59, 25 August 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for the info. Hopefully the video was archived - I took it from the live feed. I'll sort it out tomorrow. Tompw (talk) (review) 01:49, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
Unclear Source
The source of the image File:BOB04 on 19th October 2011.png you marked for deletion is no longer available, as LANCE-MODIS' website was remade to a newer one. The image was probably never archived. Rishabh Tatiraju (talk) 11:17, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
Re:File source problem with File:Pakistanhghmtns.png
Way back in 2005 I wrote as a description with the image "NASA satellite image with superimposed location of mountains by submitter". Could you tell me how this matches with "This file has no source information." and "the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content"? Thanks. Hazlitt.jpg
Hi, you left a note on my talk page about File:Hazlitt.jpg needing permissions information. There was already an OTRS template on the file description page noting the Mises Institute's free release of the image and citing an OTRS ticket number, so I've removed your DI template. Cheers, DickClarkMises (talk) 13:16, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
OTRS
We should get you signed up for the permissions queue, if you like - that way you could check these images directly :) --Errant (chat!) 13:25, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
File:Josefina Balderas Madrid.JPG
Thank you for your interest in clarifying the copyright status of this file. I created the file from my personal collection of Family memoirs, which I own. I freely relaese it in public domain.
If you have further questions, please post it on my talk page. --Sulbud (talk) 09:32, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
Moving some maps to Commons
Hi. I was thinking of moving these maps to Commons. But it seems that uploader uploaded both a small and a large version of all maps. I think we should replace the small files with the large ones and then move to Commons. Any ideas how to do that easy? --MGA73 (talk) 13:39, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
