Under Game Mechanics, the following is presented:
Starting with a starter Pokémans, the player can catch wild Pokémen by weakening them and catching them with Poké tamas. Conversely, they can choose to defeat them in battle in order to gain experience for their Pokémon, raising their levels and teaching them new moves.
I propose the following be added:
Beginning with Pokémon XY, experience points are also awarded for catching the Pokémon. Fivevolts (talk) 17:48, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
- Could it be argued that capturing a Pokémon is defeating it? Plus adding another sentence would make the paragraph a bit unwieldy and crufty. Stickee (talk) 04:19, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
- Technically in this case, to defeat a Pokemon is to KO it by eliminating all the HP. Doing so makes it impossible to catch. Catching the Pokemon means it still has HP left. But that's me being technical about it. :p—cyberpowerChat:Offline 04:25, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
- The line as is identifies capturing and defeating a Pokemon as two distinct events. The proposed change should be added, as after XY capturing IS a form of defeat that gives experience. I say it should go through. Semisufficient (talk) 04:05, 8 July 2016 (UTC)

The real name of Pokémon is Pocket Monster and Pokémon, with acronym Pokémon (POcKEt MONster). In japanese is ポケットモンスタ and the proof is http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/614BDAW826L.jpg . Pokémon now is more used for GameFreak and Nintendo, but isn't the really name.
Missing many games in the last template. Main Serie: Pokémon Green, Pokémon Crystal and Pokémon Black 2 & White 2. And many games of this template https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Pok%C3%A9mon_spin-offs. In other games series (or anime) the information is more complete.--201.250.50.153 (talk) 11:39, 3 September 2015 (UTC)

Please get rid of the miscellaneous theme park section and change it to "Spin off Games" because all of these are outside the main series of pokemon. So pokepark like there was before would be under the spin off section because it is not one of the main series pokemon games. CrocoLava (talk) 21:45, 23 November 2015 (UTC)
- Not done, sorry, as a theme park is not a spin-off game. It is separate from the games altogether. All spin-off games fall under the link Pokémon video game series. The Wikipedian Penguin 03:23, 25 November 2015 (UTC)

Name/formatting of in-wiki links (red-link removal)
The source for the two Pokémon names in the "Name" section should be changed from CLEFAIRYs
and DIGLETTs
to CLEFAIRYs
and DIGLETTs
respectively, to remove the red links. — Preceding unsigned comment added by KirbyMario12345 (talk • contribs) 19:38, 20 May 2016 (UTC)
Regarding 4Kids Entertainment/Pokemon
There is a lot of misinformation regarding this.Contrary to popular belief, 4Kids are the ones who dropped their interest in the Pokémon Company and the anime itself.People often thought it was TPCI just "seizing" control, but that is not the case. Its not the Pokémon Companies fault 4kids dropped their interest,so the outrage at the time regarding the new voice actors didn't make any sense. And i doubt the 4Kids voice actors new about this. They don't handle the business aspects of the company.
They sold their 3% stake in the Pokémon Company in October 2005. http://yahoo.brand.edgar-online.com/displayfilinginfo.aspx?FilingID=4282342-169060-250211&type=sect&TabIndex=2&companyid=2289&ppu=%252fdefault.aspx%253fcik%253d58592
Which they acquired in October 2001. http://web.archive.org/web/20051024051709/http://www.4kidsentertainment.com/docs/news/2001-1010b.pdf
I think this should be mentioned either here or the Pokemon Anime article.Although i think the 3% stake "part" should be mentioned hereTimur9008 (talk) 12:59, 16 August 2016 (UTC)

The Pronunciation section of this article is wrong, Poh-Ki-Mon, is not a way to pronounce Pokémon, so please change this part.

Poh-Ki-Mon is not a way to spell it, sorry, but the person who wrote this is misinformed. Nintendo said themselves, that Pokémon is pronounced Poh-Kay-Mon, and no other way.

- Not done: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the
