Go ahead, and don't hesitate to start editing User:Joshmaul. ;) About the images: If you are unsure as to whether or not an image is acceptable to upload, check Wikipedia:Image use policy. For copyright tags, there's Wikipedia:Image copyright tags. I am not sure of what sort of images you manipulated. Can you verify if the original images are in public domain or supply their URL's? Thanks for uploading Image:Uss-stonewalljackson.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Howdy! Whilst browsing through Special:Newpages for potential articles to feature as part of the Did you know? section of the Main Page, I ran across the article Igor Britanov, which you created. You can see the proposed blurb at Template talk:Did you know under the date heading corresponding to the creation of the article. I'm adding this notice here for two reasons: Firstly, if you feel the blurb I wrote is inaccurate or misrepresents the subject, feel free to propose a correction below it, or add a note to my talk page. Just a heads up - you shouldn't insert new entries into an infobox like that - especially when it's for an unreleased film with hardly any references. Before retagging the image file, I thought I would post the remaining issue here first. User:Ocatecir went ahead and filled in most of what was needed for a fair use statement, but he lacked one critical piece of information, that is the source of the image. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

Hello; I see that you've added an infobox on the Hans Frank page, which describes him as 'Governor-General of Occupied Poland'. There's been a brief discussion about his actual title on the Talk page in question, but basically, the point about the German invasion of Poland was to eliminate Poland as a country. The previous description of him as 'Governor General of the General Government', although a bit of a tongue-twister, was correct. Hi Joshmaul, thank you for all your great contributions lately. I just wanted to let you know, though, that you seem to have been marking all your edits as minor edits; when you add or change content, though, as you have been doing, it is better to leave it as a non-minor edit so people can see it. Minor edits are usually just for tiny things like spelling corrects and formatting changes.

I also noticed that you have not been using edit summaries. Whenever you make an edit, it's always good and courteous to leave a brief summary (in the small box below the edit window) so that other users working on the article can see, at a glance, what you've done; edit summaries also make it easier for people to find a specific edit in the history of an article. Birth place of George Prévost

This edit to the article for George Prévost changed his birth place from Paramus, New Jersey to "New Barbadoes Township (now Hackensack)". In 1767, New Barbadoes Township was far larger than when it became Hackensack. I searched for Paramus as his birth place and found Defender of Canada: Sir George Prevost and the War of 1812, which -- among other sources -- supports the claim. I'm not sure exactly where he was born, but perhaps the article should read that "George Prévost was born on 19 May 1767, in present-day Paramus, New Jersey (then a part of New Barbadoes Township, which after any territorial changes now exists as Hackensack)."
