The 2021 New York City mayoral election will replace outgoing Mayor Bill de Blasio, who is term-limited.

Before official declarations, pundits expected to see potential candidates in Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., Council Speaker Corey Johnson, Comptroller Scott Stringer, and Public Advocate Jumaane Williams.[1][2]

Former Brigadier General Loree Sutton and former HUD secretary Shaun Donovan have announced their candidacy for mayor.[3][4]

Guardian Angels founder and media personality Curtis Sliwa plans to run on the GOP line.[5]
