The 41st International Emmy Awards took place on November 25, 2013, at the Hilton Hotel in New York City, United States, and hosted by British Comedian and actor John Oliver.

Ceremony

The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the list of nominees for International Emmy Awards on October 7, 2013. The finalists were announced in Cannes, at the fair MIPCOM. This is an award for which competing series, miniseries and programs generally produced in other countries.[1]

36 programs from 19 countries were nominated: Angola, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Israel, Japan, Mexico, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, New Zealand, Philippines, United Kingdom and Uruguay. With 6 nominations, the Brazil's Globo tied for number with the UK, while Angola received his first appointment to the International Emmy Awards, in the telenovela category, for Windeck.

During the event, the producer and director JJ Abrams received the International Emmy Founders Award for his career and Anke Schäferkordt, Co-CEO of RTL Group and CEO of RTL Germany, received the International Emmy Directorate Award.[2]
