Star Life is an international pay television network, launched by Star India, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company India in South Africa on 27 August 2018.

The channel showcases Indian family drama, celebrity dance shows and blockbuster movies from Star India's library of A-List Bollywood movies, adapted into English for African audiences on OpenView HD and Multichoice's pay television platforms, DStv and GOtv.[1][2]

Popular shows aired on Star Life include Game Of Love, Not Without My Family, Forever Yours and Waiting For Love.[3][4]

On November 27, 2020 Disney announced that they would be renaming the Fox Life channel in Latin America to Star in 22 February 2021.[5]

Programming

In Africa, the channel aired popular Indian family drama and movies from Star India's library of A-List Bollywood movies, adapted into English and other popular shows aired on Star Life include Game Of Love, Not Without My Family, Forever Yours and Waiting For Love.[6][7][8]

In Latin America, the channel aired soaps. It aired Telefe and Record soap operas from Brazil and Argentina, respectively. Currently, the channel features mostly cooking shows and reality series on the Latin American service. When the current format was launched, it was with the exception of Brazil, where the channel aired, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., content from Utilisima and original shows for the local audience, as Bem Simples, and, from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m., reality series seen on the Fox Life service elsewhere in the region (most non-original cooking shows are not seen on the Brazilian service since the rights are held by GNT). On February 28, 2011, with the launch of the Bem Simples channel in Brazil, all Bem Simples/Utilisima content moved to that channel.
