Timeline of antibiotics

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Kaldari (talk | contribs) at 15:25, 23 March 2020 (clarifying that this list only covers the modern era and not historical uses of antimicrobial therapy that pre-date modern medicine). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

This is the timeline of modern antimicrobial (anti-infective) therapy. The years show when a given drug was released onto the pharmaceutical market. This is not a timeline of the development of the antibiotics themselves.

From 1978
