South Levantine (Template:Lang-ar), a subdivision of Levantine Arabic, is spoken predominantly in Palestine, as well as in the western area of Jordan (in the ‘Ajlun, Al Balqa’, Al Karak, Al Mafraq, ‘Amman, Irbid, Jarash, and Madaba governorates).[2]
