Keremane Shivarama Hegde is an exponent of Yakshagana, a dance form mostly performed in the state of Karnataka, India. He is the founder of the troupe, Idagunji Mahaganapathi Yakshagana Mandali[1] which has given performances all over India and abroad. He is the first Yakshagana artist to receive the Rashtrapati Award (President's Award). He was given the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for 1970.[2]
