Cancelled films

1990s "Firemen" film Chan mentions in his book I am Jackie Chan, that he would have liked to make a film in which he played a fireman, using his acrobatic skills to escape burning buildings. The idea was taken by other people and Chan never created his film and though mad at first, he ended up being satisfied with the result of the film.
1996 The Bee Chan's character in this film would attempt to catch a bee with a mind of its own, which would always escape. Jackie was offered this film after the success of Rumble in the Bronx in the US, but he decided he didn't want to appear in a film where he was depicted as being less intelligent than an insect.
2000 The Bellboy It was rumoured that Chan would star in a remake of the 1960 Jerry Lewis film, The Bellboy.[11]
2001 Nosebleed The film would have featured Chan as a window cleaner at the World Trade Center who learns that terrorists are plotting to destroy the Statue of Liberty. It is alleged that filming was due to begin on September 11, and that it was the WTC itself that would be destroyed, but because the screenwriter failed to deliver the script on time, filming was delayed and ultimately the film was cancelled. While a script did exist (written in 1999), the story of Chan's lucky escape is likely to have been false reporting or the dates embellished for dramatic effect.[12]
Soulcalibur Sammo Hung had the idea of adapting the Soulcalibur series into a film starring Jackie Chan. However, the idea was scrapped and filming never began. Another film company, Anthem Pictures, acquired the rights to Soulcalibur in 2006.
