The Minister of State for Competitiveness was an office of the United Kingdom Government, held by an elected Member of Parliament and appointed by the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.[citation needed]
The position, created in July 2007, was part of the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform and was, until its abolition on 11 May 2010 held by The Rt. Hon. Stephen Timms MP.[citation needed]
