Qitaihe (Chinese: 七台河; pinyin: Qītáihé) is a prefecture-level city in the southeast of Heilongjiang province in Northeast China. In 2007 it had a GDP of RMB 13.8 billion with a 14.9% growth rate.
Coal mining is an important industry. Qitaihe is the only pilot city for coal recycling in Heilongjiang. Other major cities with coal mining within the province include Hegang.
Qitaihe began its development when mining started in 1958.
