"first ever female minister"

The article says "She was the first ever female minister in Western Europe". Constance Markiewicz seems to lay claim to that record as Minister of Labour of the Irish Republic, 1919–1922. Anybody care to comment? Rwxrwxrwx (talk) 15:18, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
