I am not native speaker of [[English language|English]]
I can not converse Chinese language. I can not understand listening the voices of Chinese language. I can not pronounce Chinese language. But I know the meanings of some Chinese characters, and some else characters of the rest I don't know them.
Chinese cities
[edit]One day I transcribed some data into my notebook from the UNSTAT site. The next day I went to a library bringing the notebook, and check up with a book titled 《中国1990年人口普查资料 第一册》Tabulation on the 1990 population census of The People's Republic of China (ISBN 7-5037-1093-4). I transcribed many Chinese characters of some cities' names from the table number 2-4 of the census-book. And I spent about one week to compare them with en:Wikipedia.
The differences on the UNSTAT-site
[edit]As a result, I noticed some unpresumable differences of spelling (misspellings or variants of romanization) between the UNSTAT-site and en:Wikipedia, as below.
