Kashoo is cloud-based, double-entry accounting software for small businesses,[1] delivered via the web and an iPad application. The company launched in 2008 and is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia.

History

Kashoo was founded in 2008 by husband and wife team, Dobes and May Vandermeer. The company was acquired in 2009 by Farm Business Consultants, Inc. (FBC) and is led by CEO Jim Secord. Kashoo launched the Kashoo iPad app in October 2011 and its Most Valuable Professional Program (a package of the Kashoo software specifically for the accountant and bookkeeper communities)[2] in June 2012. In late 2012, Kashoo released a new version of its iPad app.[3].PC Magazine called the Kashoo iPad app. The company has customers in over 180 countries, was named the 2012 Startup of the Year by the British Columbia Technology Industry Association,[4] and was nominated a 2012 Small Business Influencer by Small Business Technology.
