Precipitation

What do you mean by "green precip days don't seem to be working" as the page is loading fine. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 17:12, 21 March 2020 (UTC)

Blue precipitation days are much easier to see, and green ones just all seem to be the same colour.CrazyBoy826 (talk) 17:15, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
I'm not having any trouble with the green. It's quite visible. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 18:04, 21 March 2020 (UTC)

To me, the blue one looks much more vivid and is easier to distinguish, especially when the number of days is low year-round.CrazyBoy826 (talk) 16:21, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
I've been really busy this week with work and other stuff and realised that I really don't care about this anymore. Go with pretty rather than accuracy. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 05:04, 27 March 2020 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Microclimate, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page North Vancouver (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 12:17, 22 March 2020 (UTC)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Robert Goute moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Robert Goute, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. unnecessary Coquitlam Central redirect and Coquitlam Central station hatnote

So Coquitlam Central only redirects to Coquitlam Central station because it's an unnecessary redirect you just created three days ago. On top of that, that is not where you place a redirect statement in an article—please learn MOS:ORDER.

Per WP:SMALLDETAILS, and actually the details are not even that small, no one will confuse Coquitlam Central with Coquitlam Centre. But beyond that, I suggest you WP:G7 request the deletion of the Coquitlam Central redirect because it's wholly unnecessary. Without it, anyone searching for "Coquitlam Centr..." will see both Coquitlam Centre and Coquitlam Central station as options, which is all that is needed. —Joeyconnick (talk) 17:17, 18 April 2020 (UTC)

Please slow down

Please slow down. You are making a lot of mistakes here. Please focus your efforts on improving articles rather than patrolling until you've gotten a better understanding of Wikipedia's internal processes and guidelines. Also, a friendly tip, you probably shouldn't lecture admins on deletion criteria when you've only been around a month. Praxidicae (talk) 21:11, 22 April 2020 (UTC)

Also do not leave block notices as you are not an admin. Praxidicae (talk) 21:14, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
Those were accounts where the admins did not leave block notices, so I left them to prevent confusion. CrazyBoy826 (talk) 21:15, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
I'm not sure what is unclear about this - if an administrator thought it appropriate to leave a block notice, they would have. You have no business doing so. Praxidicae (talk) 21:18, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
Hi CrazyBoy826. I appreciate your desire to help, but Praxidicae is right in this case. Please do not leave block notices for users unless you are the blocking administrator. There are a number of reasons why an administrator might not engage with a blocked user, even to leave a block notice. The biggest reason is to deny recognition—see also the essay at WP:RBI. Thanks, Mz7 (talk) 21:32, 22 April 2020 (UTC)

I undid my undo... sorry about that! Just a side note – leaving an edit summary, especially when reverting, is very helpful because it aids other editors in discerning your intentions. Cheers, Brycehughes (talk) 02:17, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

Good that you saw that I wanted to delete this page. The reason is that I entered information about Hagaby GoIF under the wrong name. The clubs are more than 100 km away. So then I changed the name of the article and I would like to have the redirection deleted. --Per W (talk) 05:04, 25 April 2020 (UTC)

Sorry, I thought it was one club under different names. CrazyBoy826 (talk) 16:35, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
No problem. The names are so similar that I got confused. Per W (talk) 18:49, 25 April 2020 (UTC)

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Zanzibar, you may be blocked from editing. Largoplazo (talk) 00:54, 28 April 2020 (UTC)

@Largoplazo: I did not do any vandalism or disruptive editing. I just changed precipitation to green, as it says on Template:Weather box/doc. Blue precipitation blends in with cold temperatures too much, and warm climates also have green precipitation for consistency. CrazyBoy826 (talk) 01:58, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
I'm embarrassed and sorry! I was unfamiliar with the template, and I hope you understand why it looked like somebody making up a fake parameter and giving it a silly value. I should have checked first. Largoplazo (talk) 02:25, 28 April 2020 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, I'm CLCStudent. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, it's important to be mindful of the feelings of your fellow editors, who may be frustrated by certain types of interaction, such as your addition to User talk:94.179.168.56. While you probably didn't intend any offense, please do remember that Wikipedia strives to be an inclusive atmosphere. In light of that, it would be greatly appreciated if you could moderate yourself so as not to offend. Thank you. CLCStudent (talk) 20:47, 28 April 2020 (UTC)

Information icon Please be careful about what you say to people. Some remarks, such as your addition to User talk:94.179.168.56 can easily be misinterpreted, or viewed as harassment. Wikipedia is a supportive environment, where contributors should feel comfortable and safe while editing. Thank you. CLCStudent (talk) 20:57, 28 April 2020 (UTC)

@CLCStudent: They have repeatedly removed messages from their own talk page, and it is obvious vandalism. I have left a message on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism, and I will not restore any more messages until this is resolved. CrazyBoy826 (talk) 20:58, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
Yeah, she is allowed to remove messages from her talkpage as she wishes. CLCStudent (talk) 20:59, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
@CLCStudent: They were removing other users' messages, as well as the 4 vandalism warnings. CrazyBoy826 (talk) 21:00, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
That is allowed. See WP:BLANKING. CLCStudent (talk) 21:02, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
Sorry, I didn't know that. CrazyBoy826 (talk) 21:03, 28 April 2020 (UTC)

Please familiarise yourself with guidelines and policies

Apologies if I'm being a bit rude, but this relist is somewhat ridiculous. Three things are wrong here – you relisted before seven days were up, you were involved in the discussion, and there was a clear consensus to delete the redirect. Before relisting RfDs, look at the rules: i.e. RELIST and RHARMFUL. I am reverting this relist, and I strongly caution against you relisting further discussions. J947 [cont] 21:34, 28 April 2020 (UTC)

OK. CrazyBoy826 (talk) 22:28, 28 April 2020 (UTC)

Green precipitation color

Hi, sorry about the edit conflict. I see that you replied after I'd deleted my comment. You said: actually, most templates are blue, and the shift to green started less than 2 years ago. I've been fixing blue templates and changing them to green (with an edit summary "green precipitation"), but many people aren't familiar and revert it so I have to go back and revert it again (edit summary "Look at Template:Weather box/doc, green precipitation is recommended and should be used).

There may be a problem in that I'm not sure where this "shift to green" came from. The recommendation to use green in the doc was added in 2018 by a user without discussion or consensus, and, it seems, against the RFC outcome. I pinged you from the template's talk page, looking forward to your comments there, thanks. --IamNotU (talk) 21:09, 1 May 2020 (UTC)

Good. I left a message on the template talk. CrazyBoy826 (talk) 21:13, 1 May 2020 (UTC)

Removing duplicate page

 Done

Hi. I saw your message and I need your guidance. The dictation of name of the page Farhad Salafzoun is incorrect and its correct form is Farhad Salafzoon. But page of Farhad Salafzoon is wrongly redirected to its current page. True form is that page of Salafzoun must be redirected to Salafzoon. How can I do that?  MrInfo2012  Talk  22:40, 1 May 2020 (UTC)

Move the page to its correct address (it has already been moved). CrazyBoy826 (talk) 01:18, 2 May 2020 (UTC)

Notifications made by other editors

Hi! We usually do not remove vandalism notifications made by other editors (especially if they are responsible for reverting). Template:Uw-vandalism4 is absolutely appropriate for cases of blatant vandalism, which includes obvious insults and strong defamation. Even if you believe another editor misused a template, please notify them instead of exercising enforcement. Thanks! Juliette Han (talk) 19:48, 3 May 2020 (UTC)
