Request Unblocking November 2023

[edit]

I agree to avoid editing or creating articles about Petar Tsankov. There is no need of confusion, I know and follow the Wiki policy. In summary, I avoid creating articles with conflict of interest. I am extremely saddened to experience blockage for a year.

Regarding Mori Rajputs

[edit]

I have reverted your move of Mori Rajputs as moving an article to draft space should only be done if there significant concerns (such as notability or lack of sourcing) which need to be addressed outside of article space. However, this long standing article does not meet this as the article can be improved in article space. Moving this article back to draftspace without discussion on the talk page may lead to a warning or a block. Dreamy Jazz talk to me | my contributions 20:12, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dreamy Jazz, this user is repeatedly trying to get Mori Rajputs article deleted without any apparent reason or any discussion whatsoever. First he tried WP:PROD on the article [1], when I removed the tag explaining him that this is not Imperial Maurya dynasty who ruled from Patliputra but another one that ruled from Chittor. In the meantime I also improved the article a little bit. He didn't reply but later without any explanation he put WP:PROD again on the article [2] despite clear rules that WP:PROD must never be used a second time. Alongwith this he also inserted WP:G1 for speedy deletion while the article has clear cut sources and one administrator @utcursch has already given google book links on the talk page that the existence of this clan is supported by multiple sources. I removed the tag again asking him to discuss the matter beforehand. Now he moved the article to draft again without any reason, which you reverted. This user should be banned for his repetitive misdoings, the user is 3 year old account and should have known the rules of WP:PROD and moving an article to draft yet doing it. Sajaypal007 (talk) 12:57, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Sajaypal007 if this user continues the behavior then a block is on the table. If you believe further action is needed now (such as a block or community ban), you can go to WP:ANI or WP:AN. However, I would note that as this user has not made further edits since the above warning I'm assuming for the time being that the message has been understood. Therefore, I'm not wanting to take further action for the time being. I've watchlisted the page and if further issues occur, I may intervene with page/move protection or blocks as necessary. Dreamy Jazz talk to me | my contributions 13:08, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I agree, I am not going to report him for now as he must have understood the warning and hopefully don't try it again. Sajaypal007 (talk) 13:19, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dilip Mandal moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Dilip Mandal, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Peter Tsankov requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Taking Out The Trash (talk) 20:48, 8 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Petar Tsankov has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no real demonstration of notability. Being a CEO I think is enough to overcome WP:A7 but I still don't feel that notability has been established.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Taking Out The Trash (talk) 20:50, 8 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Petar Tsankov requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.

There only seems to be one reliable secondary source showing significant coverage (WP:GNG). If you are interested in this topic, may I suggest creating an article for LatticeFlow as the subject seems to meet general notability guidelines. For reliable sources see this google search. - GA Melbourne (talk) 06:49, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict - November 2022

[edit]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have a financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:

  • Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
  • State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
  • Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future.

Request reason:

As mentioned above, I apologize for being unware of WP:LIVE and WP:BLP, I rethinked of what I did was wrong (I opened a new account for editing). I opened account for contributing, not for violating the Wikipedia policy. There are hundreds of improvement remaining to be acted upon. You weren't blocked for BLP violations (certainly, you shouldn't do those either, but that wasn't the block reason), and not even for sockpuppetry (you got in hot water for that after you were already blocked and used a sock to evade it). As I mentioned above, additionally, I would like admins to tell that I wrote article for Petar Tsankov because he was my friend on LinkedIn, he is a computer science researcher, there are many pages of living scientists, so I thought should create one for him, it was seriously not a promotional, if it was promotional according to admins, how can I prove it?. Whatever it is, I am making a serious promise will not do it again. I never in my life asked for a money in return for doing anything, then why for article. If you see all my edits, I worked on important articles. I sometimes create articles for those who I think is necessary, but it violates the policy WP:BLP, I wasn't aware of it.

Hi Trinity112233, please read WP:COI (a short version is at WP:COIE) and answer the following questions:

  1. Why was your editing of Petar Tsankov considered a conflict of interest on Wikipedia? (Hint, it's not just about being paid to edit content.)
  2. How should editors declare their conflict of interest?
  3. How can editors with a conflict of interest propose new articles, and do you commit to using this process if unblocked?
  4. What articles would you like to edit on Wikipedia if you are unblocked? Please list specific articles.

Please ping me if you have any questions. Z1720 (talk) 02:36, 23 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

1. I can see as per WP:COIE, it is a bad act to edit articles for friends, families, clients, and closely attached members. Only reliable and strong presence on the Internet can assure if the article is to be there or not.

2. The editor should declare COI by placing this tag {{connected contributor}}, and {{UserBoxCOI}} on User Page.

3. As per COI summary, one should place requests, suggestions, sources on Article page or User Page to propose new articles.

4. I mostly edit articles such as Elections, Budget, University, Software, Computer Science, Mathematics, Culture, Religion, Race, etc.

I would like to contribute :
Buddhism
ChatGPT
Nokia

  1. Regarding question 3, while editors with a COI should propose changes on the talk page of the articles, a person without an article does not have a talk page. What process do we use for COI editors to create articles?
  2. Why did you delete multiple Also, if unblocked, do you commit to not creating or editing any pages relating to Petar Tsankov? Z1720 (talk) 22:46, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
1. When editors with a Conflict of Interest (COI) want to create articles on Wikipedia, they are encouraged to follow a specific process to maintain the site's integrity and neutrality.
Disclosure of Conflict of Interest : If one has a COI regarding the subject one wants to create an article about, it's essential to be transparent about it. One should declare their conflict of interest on user page.
I will keep in mind to :
Request for Article Creation
Draft Creation and Review
Approval and Publication
Maintaining Neutrality

2. I deleted because of remark I got from so many editors, I didn't do it to save myself from admins, but it was not looking good. I regret doing things that breaks the rules of Wikipedia. From now, I would maintain the neutrality, verifiability, and reliablity.
I hope to be unblocked by administrators. I would like to do things like creating, editing, patrolling, handling sockpuppetry, etc.
Trinity112233 13:35, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If unblocked, I commit to not create articles that violates WP:LIVE and WP:BLP.
Thank you!.

Request reason:

I regret doing things that doesn't suit my identity and personality, I am not a kind of editor as people know me. What I have expressed above was indirect apology towards wrongdoing, it also means I will not create articles like Petar Tsankov. I expressed about things to keep in mind which I have mentioned above (line 10-13) (which is causing you to have WP:CIR

Decline reason:

This unblock request is almost unreadable, I have to echo the WP:CIR concerns above and decline this request due to those concerns. Aoidh (talk) 00:25, 3 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. Request reason:

I agree to avoid editing or creating articles about Petar Tsankov. There is no need of confusin, I know and follow the Wiki policy. In summary, I avoid creating articles with conflict of interest.

Decline reason:

I, am good at editing in English, not the one who only creates article in English, only make edits to the topics. I get template ideas and for writing, I now use grammar tools to check any kinds of error. This response does not inspire confidence in your ability to evaluate your own skills or your competence to contribute to the English Wikipedia. If you want to continue editing Wikipedia, I'd recommend contributing to the project in your native language(s). Spicy (talk) 10:27, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

OK ... so if we unblock, what or who will you focus on editing articles about? Daniel Case (talk) 07:11, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I am very happy that you replied.
If I am unblocked, I will contribute to the following topics.
1. Government.
2. Science & Technology.
3. Trending topics (Sam Altman, AI, Crisis, etc).
4. Improvement of articles that come under my knowledge such as Programming, Software, Computer Science.
And many more.
Thank you 🙏🏼 Trinity112233 08:47, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Daniel Case and Rosguill: OK to unblock? -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 16:21, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm concerned by the persistently weak English skills and am doubtful that they can become a net positive in the areas that they are proposing to contribute to, even if we treat the COI issues as water under the bridge. signed, Rosguill talk 23:14, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I understand the importance of maintaining high standards on Wikipedia and am committed to upholding those standards through well-researched and well-written content.I would appreciate any feedback or guidance you could provide on my contributions. I am eager to contribute more to Wikipedia and believe that my skills align with the platform's goals. We should not conclude on the basis of past experience everytime.

Decline reason:

At this point you're just wasting our time. You are blocked for writing promotional articles while having a conflict of interest, something you have failed to address in your nine(!) previous unblock requests. There are additional concerns about your level of understanding of English; while that's not your fault, it may explain why you are not able to write a coherent unblock request or understand the policies you're being pointed to. I am revoking your talk page access again because you have yet to address the reason for your block and further appeals would not be a good use of administrators' time. You ma have more success contributing to the Hindi Wikipedia. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 13:58, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request help

[edit]

I need help to get unblocked, because everyone is repeating the same process multiple times without any fruitful evaluation. There are thousands of ineligible editors free to break the rules, I am not one of them, just for a false narrative I was blocked, I can write in bith Hindi and English. If I am not unblocked, I would request help from the Wikipedia founder.

Trinity112233 Trinity112233 13:21, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The admin help template is not for appealing blocks and you do not have a right to appeal to the founder, whether blocked or unblocked. I suggest you read the guidance in the templates above and the remarks from the multiple administrators who have taken the time to review your unblock requests.
