Submitting my draft
Hi Kylie,
I hope you are doing well. I noticed you declined my article about a town in the Philippines called Ambasing. The thing is, you may know the word "Ambasing" is a meme word, and the town happens to be called that. I am trying to get this article published so that the article will become a meme. If you are able to get this article published, I won't be able to thank you enough. I will be sure to give you, KylieTastic, your deserved credit for your contribution to this project. Anyway, thank you for reading this! Have a Happy New Year!
Thanks, Zeus2934 Zeus2934 (talk) 23:30, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a space wherein you can create a meme. Please try a social media platform instead. Wikipedia isn't a social media platform. --Hammersoft (talk) 23:41, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
- But this is not a meme. This is a real place. Zeus2934 (talk) 02:32, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Zeus2934 I'm not an administrator so cannot see the original of Draft:Ambasing, but as it was deleted as "G3: Vandalism" it was clearly not a serious attempt. The new version is unsourced - as no "Trust me bro" is not acceptable. Assuming it is the place at 17°04'17.4"N 120°53'55.8"E it at least appears to exist. However even if it was "famous for being the hometown of the popular meme character Dreamy Bull" that is also of no value here. If you want to write about Ambasing fine, but it needs reliable sources for all claims. KylieTastic (talk) 10:55, 1 January 2024 (UTC)

Notability Guidelines needs to move away from Journalists
Why are you not using the talk feature before declining drafts?
What is the notable number? Do I need to bribe Journalists to get your attention? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Raywalk (talk • contribs) 11:03, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Raywalk you submitted it for review so it was reviewed. The review response is "talking" to you giving you the feedback of what is required. As the decline notice says, all new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). Your first two references for Meadow do not even mention Rupy let alone anything significant. Same for the third reference for JourneyMap. So that leaves you with one source which is not enough to show notability and also leaving most of the content not sourced. Adding things like "if this is not notable enough you (wikipedia) needs to state how many human customers are needed for notability." in the actual article is also not going to help. Wikipedia does not use numbers for notability, for instance many social media/YouTube accounts have millions of followers/subscribers but with nothing else are not notable by our policies and guidelines. Even if Wikipedia did use numbers as a metric your 300000+ owners would help an article for Meadow not Rupy. No you do not "need to bribe Journalists" as reliable sources do not have to be written by Journalists. KylieTastic (talk) 11:50, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- 1) "Same for the third reference for JourneyMap" You seem to not understand how the world works, JourneyMap USED Rupy (https://github.com/search?q=repo%3ATeamJM%2Fjourneymap-legacy%20rupy&type=code). Without Rupy JouneyMap would not be the same.
- 2) Meadow uses Rupy and would not exist without it. If you do not trust the truth behind this statement from the person who made this then what does the word reliable mean?
- 3) Name one "reliable" source that is not a Journalist? Raywalk (talk) 12:17, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Raywalk, 1) The source you gave does not mention it. A link to show one project on GitHub uses another one is not notable. Not that notability is inherited anyway but as JourneyMap does not have an article either this is just a claim that one non notable project uses another. 2) Is just another unsourced claim - and no Wikipedia does not just trust what people claim is true - see Wikipedia:Verifiability 3) almost every book, journal and a huge number of websites. From your user talk page you appear to have been at this since at least 2011. Your have been linked to the key WP:Policies and guidelines such as Wikipedia:Notability, Wikipedia:Reliable sources multiple times. You may not like the way Wikipeida works, but this is how it currently works regardless. KylieTastic (talk) 12:58, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- 1) Of course notability is inherited.
- 2) I'm the source, because I made it.
- 3) Those all cost money and energy. Raywalk (talk) 15:21, 2 January 2024 (UTC)

What sources are notable?
I understand why you declined Draft:Jillian Michaels (voice actor), IMDb seemed trustworthy until you told me that the information is fan-entered. So I wanted to ask if other sources would be notable, as they have given me the same information. Like Anime News Network, My Anime List, PeoplePill, etc. Would these sources other than fandoms be notable? MKsLifeInANutshell (talk) 14:59, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi MKsLifeInANutshell, IMDB used to be an OK source until every self promoter realized you can get away with ridiculous stuff now and over the last few years it's reliability outside of better known people and movies is not trustworthy. I've found self-promoters adding themselves to lots of fairly well known movies in minor roles and getting away with it. I don't know those off the top of my head, but often you can tell by the look and wording of sources if they are not reliable. Otherwise you can search for them on WP:RSPSOURCES and if not listed you can search if there is any historical discussion using WP:RSPMISSING. Saying that "My Anime List" sounded like user generated content and finding the site has a signup/login at the top also suggest it. For anime related sources try looking at Wikipedia:WikiProject Anime and manga/Online reliable sources. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 16:56, 2 January 2024 (UTC)

Hey, I saw you also just declined this – what do you make of it? There are more socks in the edit history than in my sock drawer! I thought they all came from the same farm, but looks like there are at least two farms involved, and I can't find a connection between either of them and the latest author. Any ideas? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:58, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
- @DoubleGrazing yes just paid-for spam. I must admit I don't often get involved in thinking of submitters as farms, I just deal with the creations till they either stop or get blocked. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 17:10, 7 January 2024 (UTC)

Denied article
I've noticed you denied my draft: List of storms named Phil. You stated that it needed sources, despite it being a disambiguation page. I think you made a mistake... ''Flux55'' (talk) 22:56, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Flux55, I declined with a generic "fails notability" option but yes the current tag wording is really not correct for disambiguation pages - Sorry I should have noticed. Disambiguation pages normally require at least three entries to be deemed notable otherwise hat notes are usually used to link. Also as it is also only a secondary name for one of the articles it seems even more of a stretch. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 23:18, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
Can I submit this draft for review?
Thank you for editing this: Draft:Mehdi Mirza Mehdi Tehrani. I have edited this article generally in accordance with Wikipedia's policies on biographies of living people. The text of this article is about 75% different from the previous article. I covered all the new sources according to the protocol and removed the less effective sources altogether. Fortunately, now the sources are independent of the topic and secondary. There are also English sources. Can I ask you to read and guide me if you have the opportunity and desire to see this draft? Does the article have the capacity to move to the main namespace so I can request a review? I mean, I understand your point of view as a professional editor. I know it is very important to you that drafts are reviewed fairly and in turn. Your opinion is very important to me. —Patricia (Talk) 14:07, 6 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Patricia Mannerheim, I can see you have updated since the last removal from main-space so yes if you are happy please do submit for review. To be fair to all submitters I don't review/re-review on request, I just pick new and old submissions at random or work on certain topics. It not the sort of topic I generally work on so I'll leave for one of the other reviewers with more interest/knowledge as the key thing you want to avoid is someone immediately taking it to Wp:AfD again. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 14:18, 6 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi KylieTastic. So much thanks. it was helpful to me. Considering that 7 months had passed since the last revision and now the draft has been updated, should this TAG: {{info|crosswiki spam by Special:CentralAuth/Patricia Mannerheim, see wikidata:Q85975315. - Hi Patricia Mannerheim, firstly that notice is important for the reviewer to make sure they understand the reasons given in previous WP:AFD discussions. Secondly the general policy is that while in draft/AfC tags are not removed so reviewers and other editors know the history. It would obviously be removed if accepted. Also it should be noted that with was added by Johannnes89 who is a "global sysop" (admin) so if you thought that the note of "crosswiki spam by Special:CentralAuth/Patricia Mannerheim" was unfair you would need to talk to them about it. - What I mean is that there is a difference between sharing an idea and informing: sharing is showing it off with the intent to do so, informing is showing it, but with the intent to educate about it, not just to show it off, to give others knowledge. Njnynun (talk) 19:46, 14 January 2024 (UTC)

London Haydn Quartet
Hello @KylieTastic,
Thank you for the quick review of my draft article.
Can you share an example of a “reliable source” other than ones I provided already (the ensemble’s own web site, their recording label’s site, an independent news site, etc.)? I can (and may, for completeness) expand the list but want to be sure this isn’t a Sisyphean exercise before continuing.
The LHQ meets the standards outlined in Wikipedia:Notability (music) (4,5,6,7 for example) for inclusion.
For reference the Amadeus Quartet page does not provide significantly more supporting material for a similar (but now defunct) ensemble. Other examples abound.
Cordially,
Diligent Scribe (talk) 12:50, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
P.S. I not a shill for LHQ. Although I have listened to some of their recordings they are only one of several quartets specializing in historical performance techniques for the Classical repertoire. 38.7.155.244 (talk) 12:46, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Diligent Scribe, for showing notability we look to independent reliable source so no to "the ensemble’s own web site, their recording label’s site" but yes to "independent news site". Generally we look for 3+ sources independent reliable sources with significant coverage for general notability. You sort of have 1.5 at the moment as the second source is quite short. As for Wikipedia:Notability (music) first note that the criteria it says "may be notable if they meet at least one of the following criteria" and the General notability guideline is still the key criteria. As for Criteria you say they pass - #4: unfortunately I can't read all of the first source but the second does not mention concert tours. #5: the current text only talks about one of their albums. #6: this is normally interpreted as them having there own articles and nothing in the text indicates any of them are "independently notable musicians", #7: I see nothing in the current text to indicate this. As for Amadeus Quartet yes many existing articles are sub standard and why it is tagged as needing more verification. It was created in 2003 so before all the current Policies and guidelines. These old sub standard articles need improvement or deletion rather than being used to justify adding more of the same. Also googling "Amadeus Quartet" some of the first sources are the Royal College of Music and Britannica while googling "London Haydn Quartet" returns there own website, the labels website and social media which is always an indication of a less notable subject. See if you can find another couple of independent reliable sources with significant coverage and if so update and re-submit. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 14:25, 20 January 2024 (UTC)

- It would appear to me that a "least worse solution" would appear to be to WP:ROLLBACK and the draft to its 03:23, March 5, 2024 version (a version of Draft:Law Reform Commission of Mauritius) when the body text of the article was simply blank and the draft article's title was simply "Law Reform Commission of Mauritius" and WP:REVDEL the subsequent inadvertent copyvios.
If the 5 March 2024 draft has been deleted since I wrote this, I hope this has been useful as a summary of what happened there. These things happen.

- @Shirt58 all I did was remove the start of comment to make the content clearer. My understanding is that there is no difference in the copyright-violation state based on if you can see it or not, just that it exists and can be viewed. Is this not why we have too REVDEL rather than just remove parts of it and hide it in the history? I had actually meant to edit out the worst of the copyvios and submit a REVDEL then changed my mind and decided to see what the result of the G12 was. Draft: Francsico R Adriano Sr.
Hello. That draft is not my work. I submitted it at request of User:Abehonest who posted at the Help Desk. I advised that editor that it was likely to be declined and needed to be improved. Please inform them. Thanks. Cullen328 (talk) 10:52, 1 March 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Cullen328, as soon as I saw your name as AFCH posted the notice I backtracked, edited the submit, and re-reviewed so they got the notice. Note, I find the easiest way to submit for someone else is to use the AFHC tool that has a submit option built in. It allows you to submit on behalf of the creator, last submitter or someone else. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 11:01, 1 March 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for your review. Francisco R Adriano (Filipino) was one of the first class of graduates of the Philippine Military Academy, Graduated with Honors / was given the Presidential Saber. He fought protecting his country was decorated and spoke out against President Marcos's dictatorship. The creator of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Philippine_Military_Academy_alumni included Adriano in the listing but there is no link to his Wikipedia as that is being created now here. I was able to find 2 other press listing https://philippinediaryproject.com/tag/francisco-adriano/ and https://philippinediaryproject.com/1941/06/17/june-17-1941/. Given the Philippines was destroyed during the war many news references were burnt in the ashes and could NOT be salvaged. I don't think you should use the number of press links standard set for first world countries as for 3rd world. Please reconsider. Thanks. Abehonest (talk) 07:21, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Abehonest, unfortunately many subjects that would be notable can not get articles because the sources never did or no longer exist. I have often tried to find sources for subjects and failed. However a fundamental part of Wikipedia is that information is sourced and that there are enough to show notability. The fact that someone (and not the creator as you claim) added them to List of Philippine Military Academy alumni with no clear source does not help. Also just being an alumni of a place does not make you any more notable. As it stands you have three sources that are all just passing mentions, so fail to show notabilty. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 20:32, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
- @KylieTasticWell Noted. Does receiving the Presential Saber and the fact he became a Colonel provide notability? There are not many who achieve similar accolades and positions. Thanks. Abehonest (talk) 07:23, 6 March 2024 (UTC)
- @Abehonest their are some awards that are enough to show notability however as there appears to be no Presidential Saber. However, maybe it's just that rare and special. It may be worth asking at more open venues to get more input form others - possibly at Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines or the Wikipedia:Teahouse. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 09:52, 6 March 2024 (UTC)

Do you know any way I could make my draft eligible again?
I don’t want this page going to waste, do you know what I could do? Cappyz (talk) 20:49, 8 March 2024 (UTC)
- As was posted on the first three decline notices articles require significant coverage in multiple independent reliable sources to show notability. You have failed to find one let alone multiple. Some subjects are just not notable. KylieTastic (talk) 20:54, 8 March 2024 (UTC)
- Understandable, welp that’s it. My draft is done. Cappyz (talk) 20:56, 8 March 2024 (UTC)
- @Cappyz do note that some subjects could be notable (in the general sense) but just do not have the sources to qualify for an article. Unfortunately writing new articles is considered one of the hardest things to do here. Even some who have been around for years get articles deleted. Many of us have subjects we would like to see articles on but fail to find the sources, so your far from alone. If at sometime in the future people write about the game it will get an article. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 21:06, 8 March 2024 (UTC)

Hi Kyle!
I incorporated the changes to the Draft: San Diego International Law Journal page snd learned a lot about about notability and secondary sources in the interim.

Hello KylieTastic, I see that you have rejected my article, over a week ago. Please note that I am not a troll, and I didn't mean to submit the article for review. This was an accident on my part. Is it possible for me to have this article published in the future, if I edit it, add more information, sources etc.?
Thanks, KeymasterOne KeymasterOne (talk) 15:54, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
- @KeymasterOne Wikipedia is an encyclopedia of notable subjects - it is not for things you made up. KylieTastic (talk) 16:12, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
- It wasn't just made up - it is a concept that has existed since 2017. There is quite some info on it. There is also a website about this, if you want me to send you it. KeymasterOne (talk) 14:59, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
- @KeymasterOne a google for "Shorban Empire" says it is made up and non notable. KylieTastic (talk) 15:07, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
- What do you mean? Can you tell me where you are getting this information from Google? KeymasterOne (talk) 16:49, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
- @KeymasterOne you don't know what googling something is? this returns a X account, a Disboard listing for a discord server, a YouTube video from 4 days ago, etc so nothing of any note. The website for this is apparently https://sites.google.com/s207.org/shorbanempire - so just a google sites website. SO basically it's just something made up for fun and not a topic for an encyclopedia. KylieTastic (talk) 17:23, 11 March 2024 (UTC)

- Did you at least check all of the pages and key details? KeymasterOne (talk) 13:30, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
- @KeymasterOne, nope. If you have fun writing/reading this sort of fiction great, but it has no interest to me personally and no value regarding a Wikipedia article. Articles are based on independent reliable sources. Also new articles require significant coverage in multiple independent reliable sources to show notability. KylieTastic (talk) 15:30, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
- Wouldn't I be able to use the website as a source? And, say this topic gets more info, coverage, sources, etc. on it in the future (for example), would I be able to publish this article then or is this note permanent? (as regard to my original question). KeymasterOne (talk) 16:31, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
- @KeymasterOne nothing is permanent, any subject can become notable in the future. However, for many subjects the chance of becoming notable is as remote as winning a mega lottery. KylieTastic (talk) 16:49, 12 March 2024 (UTC)

Miranda Kyle (ᏣᎸᎩ Cherokee descendant/European-American) is the Curator of Indigenous Arts of the Americas at the Michael C Carlos Museum in Atlanta, Georgia. She has expertise in Indigenous land rights, contemporary art, sociocultural activism, and community engagement. Before joining the museum she was the Program Manager of Arts and Culture for Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. (ABI)[1] Miranda Kyle holds an MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design and an MA from Edinburgh College of Arts. As Chief Curator of the Atlanta Beltline, Miranda worked to increase the number of both temporary and permanent public artworks available to Beltline users. She was very deliberate about showcasing local Atlanta artists[2] and worked to collaborate with partners such as the National Black Arts Festival, the Woodruff Arts Center, and The Atlanta Opera. She also worked to make sure the artists chosen to participate felt respected and were well paid, "We want our artists to thrive; we want to sustain our creative community here. We have incredible artists here in the city; they just need the opportunity and the money to realize their big vision."[3] Kyle will work to grow the Native North American Collection at the Carlos Museum. “Indigenous art holds the history of place, documents the reality of the times, and is a barometer of futurity,” said Kyle.[4]

New Pages Patrol newsletter April 2024
Hello KylieTastic,
Backlog update: The October drive reduced the article backlog from 11,626 to 7,609 and the redirect backlog from 16,985 to 6,431! Congratulations to Schminnte, who led with over 2,300 points.
Following that, New Page Patrol organized another backlog drive for articles in January 2024. The January drive started with 13,650 articles and reduced the backlog to 7,430 articles. Congratulations to JTtheOG, who achieved first place with 1,340 points in this drive.
Looking at the graph, it seems like backlog drives are one of the only things keeping the backlog under control. Another backlog drive is being planned for May. Feel free to participate in the May backlog drive planning discussion.
It's worth noting that both queues are gradually increasing again and are nearing 14,034 articles and 22,540 redirects. We encourage you to keep contributing, even if it's just a single patrol per day. Your support is greatly appreciated!
2023 Awards
Onel5969 won the 2023 cup with 17,761 article reviews last year - that's an average of nearly 50/day. There was one Platinum Award (10,000+ reviews), 2 Gold Awards (5000+ reviews), 6 Silver (2000+), 8 Bronze (1000+), 30 Iron (360+) and 70 more for the 100+ barnstar. Hey man im josh led on redirect reviews by clearing 36,175 of them. For the full details, see the Awards page and the Hall of Fame. Congratulations everyone for their efforts in reviewing!
WMF work on PageTriage: The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers deployed the rewritten NewPagesFeed in October, and then gave the NewPagesFeed a slight visual facelift in November. This concludes most major work to Special:NewPagesFeed, and most major work by the WMF Moderator Tools team, who wrapped up their major work on PageTriage in October. The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers will continue small work on PageTriage as time permits.
Recruitment: A couple of the coordinators have been inviting editors to become reviewers, via mass-messages to their talk pages. If you know someone who you'd think would make a good reviewer, then a personal invitation to them would be great. Additionally, if there are Wikiprojects that you are active on, then you can add a post there asking participants to join NPP. Please be careful not to double invite folks that have already been invited.
Reviewing tip: Reviewers who prefer to patrol new pages within their most familiar subjects can use the regularly updated NPP Browser tool.
Reminders:
- You can access live chat with patrollers on the New Pages Patrol Discord.
- Consider adding the project discussion page to your watchlist.
- To opt out of future mailings, please remove yourself here.

Functorial Programming - new article submission, please don't interfere without qualifications
This is about FUNCTORIAL programming, not functional programming... it is an ongoing active area of research also known as "Directed Type Theory" https://ncatlab.org/nlab/show/directed+homotopy+type+theory This Wikipedia article is intendent as a gentle introduction and outline from the perspective where ordinary programmers can relate, but IT IS NOT A COPY of functional programming. Contributors to this new FUNCTORIAL programming paradigm are needed, so a Wikipedia article can help spread awareness 2001:8F8:1A61:418:4462:C895:7FA3:35DD (talk) 15:59, 3 April 2024 (UTC) 2001:8F8:1A61:418:4462:C895:7FA3:35DD (talk) 16:01, 3 April 2024 (UTC)

Draft of Heya Masr rejection
Hello, I would like to know why you rejected my article especially considering the fact that the reasons you gave aren't accurate. First, my main source as mentioned is primary considering the fact that Heya Masr is a very known NGO here in Egypt (where I'm a resident) and in my line of work, I get to learn a lot more about NGOs in Egypt. But for the sake of accuracy I even checked Heya Masr's official website to make sure my information is correct. Other than the website, I don't know what other source you'd like me to use as in Egypt, there isn't a lot of information online about Egyptian NGOs considering their operational style and country laws. When it comes to the other reason you gave, that I may understand, however, I put those words in reference just for optics and in some cases just to provide some color in the text for the readers to be stimulated, but I can change it if it goes against any wikipedia rules.
Please let me know what I should do to get this article approved. Because this NGO is doing amazing work and I'd really love them to have a wikipedia page as it would increase their visibility and help people outside of Egypt learn more about NGOs in Egypt. — Preceding unsigned comment added by John koprivne (talk • contribs) 21:32, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
- @John koprivne all but one of your sources is from the subject. For notability Wikipedia does not care what subjects say about themselves but what others say. Basically all new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). Unfortunately there is no criteria for accepting NGOs or any subject just because they are doing good work. Do note that although this is English Wikipedia sources do not need to be in English. Question
I must ask for my article what can I improve on it I have a source for it what else? Bally125 (talk) 13:51, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Bally125, mindat.org is a user generated source (WP:USERGENERATED) and so is not reliable. As the other comment on the article said "all inhabited places are presumed notable" however we need a good source or two to show that it is actually a "Populated, legally recognized place". Try looking for government sources, voting, census records etc. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 13:56, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
- Ah okay thank you for clarifying it up! I was confused lol. Bally125 (talk) 14:01, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Bally125, no worries, there is a lot to learn at first editing here. The Wikipedia:Teahouse is always there for any general help advice new users need. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 14:05, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
- is google maps a reliable source or no? Bally125 (talk) 18:27, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Bally125 no as it does not show that a place is a "legally recognized place" KylieTastic (talk) 18:29, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
- aw man Bally125 (talk) 18:29, 3 April 2024 (UTC)

- @KylieTastic Bally125 (talk) 18:39, 3 April 2024 (UTC)

- https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Map-of-Dsitrict-Kotli-Azad-Jammu-Kashmir_fig1_266419484 what about this? Bally125 (talk) 18:50, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
- @KylieTastic Bally125 (talk) 18:51, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Bally125 it's just a picture, also researchgate.net has good and bad content as anyone can publish there. I don't doubt there is a place there but Wikipedia requires a solid source. I would suggest asking at Wikipedia:WikiProject Pakistan as they may know where to find good sources for such subjects. KylieTastic (talk) 19:03, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
- ah okay Bally125 (talk) 19:04, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
- sorry if im late but what about this? https://pakistan.places-in-the-world.com/1415039-place-nar.html
- @KylieTastic Bally125 (talk) 15:07, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Bally125 it doesn't really have any info. It has no population details and the coordinates ae for Kotli. Everything else is just based on the rough location. Unfortunately there are several of these sites that trawl general info and make automatic pages that are not very helpful, and it makes finding the real info more difficult. KylieTastic (talk) 17:26, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
- alright then go search up nar in the wikipedia and if you go to the asia section its says Nar, a small village in Kotli district, Pakistan-controlled Azad Kashmir, what about that? Bally125 (talk) 23:31, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
- @KylieTastic Bally125 (talk) 02:06, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Bally125 no you cannot use Wikipedia as a source for Wikipedia, you can't use any "wikis" or similar user-generated content. Actually that entry could/should be removed from Nar as there is no article and Azad Kashmir does not actually mention it either. Unfortunately the local government site http://ajk.gov.pk is unresponsive. I see that Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Pakistan is also a dead looking project. The point of an encyclopedia article is to inform people, if there is not reliable sourced information to share there is no point in having an article. Sorry but this is quite normal problem for some countries/areas, usually ones with less internet usage - sources are hard to find or just don't exist for small locations. There is nothing more I have to offer, apart from maybe say you could ask at a more open platform for advice such as the Wikipedia:Teahouse. KylieTastic (talk) 09:35, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
KylieTastic (talk) 19:03, 3 April 2024 (UTC)

parameters for image files
I'm at a bit of a loss here. I'm following published wiki help but seeing changes. Today, while I placed an image on the left side of the page, KylieTastic moved it to the right (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Felix_Albrecht_Harta). I know that the right is the default, but I'd like to understand: Is this a new policy. Are images on the left now verboten? Valuenyc (talk) 17:39, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Valuenyc, sorry I should have left an edit summary, but it is a standard formatting. Your correct, mostly images do go on the right to avoid breaking up the text, but no left is not verboten. Usually images only start being moved to the left just to balance things if there are a lot of images, or if the image is key the the section. However in this case on Draft:Felix Albrecht Harta it was in the lead section, and the main image always goes on the right or probably more importantly it should be said that the text always starts. Images are important to assist improving articles, but the text is still considered the primary item. I've always taken it as readers don't care on the image location when looking, by they do prefer to read text starting on the left. Hope that helps, Regards KylieTastic (talk) 17:55, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, indeed. This helps quite a lot. Your reasoning is sound, and I can live with the picture on the right. Many many many thanks. Valuenyc (talk) 18:44, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
Sandbox
How do I create a new sandbox? IceStorm 54 (talk) 14:12, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @IceStorm 54 you have several options:
- I assume you were have an issue as your existing one User:IceStorm 54/sandbox was redirected. If this happens you can go back to the source of the redirect by the link just under the article name on the targeted page. However I have removed the redirect for you
- You create any new page you want under your user area such as User:IceStorm 54/sandbox2, User:IceStorm 54/NewAcrticleName
- It's its a new article you can also create a new draft in the draft space such as Draft:My New Arctile name - You can use Wikipedia:Article_wizard to start one
- Hope that helps KylieTastic (talk) 14:26, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
- Can you review my draft? IceStorm 54 (talk) 14:30, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
- @IceStorm 54 sorry but to be fair to all submitters I don't review/re-review on request, I just pick new and old submissions at random or work on certain topics, so it may or may not be myself who reviews it next. Also I'm working on some other backlogs at the moment. I will note that you have no source indicated for the second section. KylieTastic (talk) 14:36, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
Draft:AdLunamInc.
Hi KylieTastic. I used the article wizard to start this article and cited one source that I could find. Tried to get a few more in from what I found online. My intention is to document the existence of the company but the comment I got said it sounded promotional. So Im not sure how to proceed. I will make a few edits to improve it but im open to feedback. Its first attempt to work on a new page. Jervisap (talk) 09:02, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Jervisap, Wikipedia is not a place for all subjects that just exist, but for subjects that are deemed to be 'notable' by our guidelines - see Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) in this case. In general all new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). Many companies may never become notable, others will be in time as more is written about them. So if other sources do not currently exist it's time to just move onto something else. - Hi KylieTastic . Understood. Would pages like these qualify for a stub instead? Jervisap (talk) 10:56, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Jervisap, sorry no - notability is a fundamental requirement. Stubs are for notable subjects but for articles that just don't have much content yet. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 11:30, 10 April 2024 (UTC)

Draft:Ecuador Women's National Under-17 Football Team
Hello KylieTastic,
How are you? I see that my submission for Draft:Ecuador Women's National Under-17 Football Team, was declined. I was wondering, is there a specific part in the article that needed reference or are there not enough references, or is something else wrong besides that, as I have provided a reliable reference.
Thank you,
God Bless,

A rough guide is 3+ such sources are needed to show notability. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 15:06, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
- I see, thank you for your help. I was wondering, however, can the sources be different web pages from the same website, (e.g. fifa.com/example1) and (e.g fifa.com/example2). Thank you for your help,
- Loganmascarenhas Loganmascarenhas (talk) 21:11, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hey Loganmascarenhas, yes many articles have multiple sources from the same site, especially if they are key to a subject like fifa.com or main news sites. However, for showing notability it would count less but can still be helpful. For instance if you had three separate sources that did not quite have enough depth to show notability adding more sources from the same sites would definitely help. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 21:18, 15 April 2024 (UTC)

Draft:Polar_wedge
Hi KyleTastic,
Thank you for taking the time to read and evaluate my draft on the polar wedge. Unfortunately I believe your requested changes (in particular "sources independent of the subject") are impossible to be met, as there is no scientific literature on this device, and linking vendor descriptions of the various products available would hardly meet the other source criteria(?). However, there is a German Wikipedia article on the subject (Polhöhenwiege) which I tried to match as closely as possible, and the article mainly states general facts that are easy to confirm by common sense once understood.
The subject is relevant to people interested in astronomy, and the German page helped me a lot in that regard, so please let me know if it's worth resubmitting at all. 89.186.158.15 (talk) 14:00, 16 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hello IP! If you cannot find reliable sources, then the subject is probably not notable. The German Wikipedia has different guidelines and policies. Happy editing! —asparagusus (interaction) sprouts! 14:05, 16 April 2024 (UTC)
- Alright, thank you, and happy editing! 89.186.158.15 (talk) 14:07, 16 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for answering @Asparagusus. IP, I did look myself and although "polar wedge" gets a lot of google hits and looks possible notable it certainly does appear that most are sales links so any good sources are well hidden. I thought German Wikipedia required minimum sources as well these days, it may be because it was created back in 2009. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 16:00, 16 April 2024 (UTC)

Draft:Arman Guman
Hi, thanks for restoring the 2020 AfC templates at that draft: they were oddly added to the recreated draft a minute after SPA account creation, but I don't see any evidence of sockpuppetry yet. But I should have mentioned their removal in my edit summary. Wikishovel (talk) 09:03, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hey @Wikishovel, I'm usually one to give large amounts of WP:AGF in draft, but recreation of a rejected article with templates of a very un-notable subject shouts socking to me. It may just be that they lost the login details for The official Arman Guman but I can't see it being anyone but the subject trying to self promote again. As the dead source https://www.stichtingrechtsbescherming.nl/ says "back online no later than April 23, 2024" this is clearly linked to a change in activity. I would G11, but I think that would just be recreated again. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 09:20, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
The Soul of Anna Klane
Hello. Thank you for reviewing my submission for The Soul of Anna Klane. You noted that the book might not meet Wikipedia's notability requirements. I would like to highlight that (a) there are two whole chapters (!) dedicated to this book in The Mind's I, an important philosophy book in its own right; and (b) there was a short film produced based on a chapter from this book. I believe these two facts mark the book as notable.
There were at least four different prints of this book, by at least two different publishers (in the US by Coward, McCann & Geoghegan, and imprint of G.P. Putnam's Sons; and in the UK by New English Library). See here: https://www.google.co.il/books/edition/The_Soul_of_Anna_Klane/cegLOQAACAAJ?hl=en
Prior to being dealt with in detail by Hofstadter and Dennett (in The Mind's I), the book was not highly known; so there are few reviews of the book available. It was however reviewed briefly, at the time of publication, by Kirkus Review (referenced in the article). Tal Cohen (talk) 13:02, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
- Found out that it was also reviewed by the NY Times in 1977, and added that to the article. Tal Cohen (talk) 13:52, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Tal Cohen, please note that the decline is that the sources did not show it met Wikipedia's notability requirements not that it was not notable. The "New Media Film Festival" is a blog which are generally not considered reliable sources and it does not mention the subject or Miedaner anyway so does not verify the claim. I looked for another source but could not find any. Being mentioned in the NY Times is good, pity it's not a bit longer review. Unfortunately I don't have access to "The Mind's I" so I just have to take your word on that. However with the NY Times review it does show border-line notability. I think I can find another source... I'll post a comment on the draft if I do. If you can find another source for the film that would help as IMDB is bad enough, but a random review/comment on it is definitely not valid. Add any more you can find and then resubmit for review. I would certainly not decline in it's current state, but without a bit more I would leave for another as it's not my primary area of work. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 15:11, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
- Well, it turns out that the film competed in the Cannes festival in 1995, so we have that as a source (although the page is not really detail-rich, and does not include writing credits beyond "screenplay"...). Added to the article. Tal Cohen (talk) 18:42, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
- Re: access to The Mind's I, you can find an online copy on the internet archive: https://archive.org/details/mindsi00doug/page/n5/mode/2up . Page 6 of the Preview shows the Contents, and chapters 7 and 8 listed there are both by Terrel Miedaner -- these are excerpts from The Soul of Anna Klane.
- The short film The Beast is available on YouTube, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51Y_iIyDVqo . The credit for Miedanar and the book appears in the end credits, starting at 10m30s, where it says: "Adapted from the novel "THE SOUL OF ANNA KLANE" written by TERREL MIEDANER". Sadly this is a very low quality copy. I wonder if it would make sense to include a slide from this credit roll as an image on the page, under fair-use. Tal Cohen (talk) 09:30, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Tal Cohen I've updated the draft for the first link and although I've not seen it done before I think a screen grab would be fair-use and a good idea. It is low quality but it's good enough, nice find. I think with the newspaper sources this is clearly enough for notability. I would sort it out now but I'm dealing with some real-world issue and exhausted. I'll leave it to you to update and resubmit but I'll try to remember to check back at the weekend when I hope to have more time. Good job with pushing on and improving things it's always a joy to see (rather than the more normal give up or just resubmit with no improvement). Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 18:30, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks. We have a chicken-and-egg problem here: the upload page refuses to allow me to upload a file unless it is linked to an actual, published article. So, I'll be able to upload the frame only after the article is published. Resubmitting the article now, hoping you'll approve, and I'll follow up by uploading the frame. Tal Cohen (talk) 10:59, 26 April 2024 (UTC)

Reviewer approval
Hey KylieTastic. I'm planning on submitting an application to WP:AFC/P. I had submitted an application previously, but I had no experience at the time. I now feel ready, but I still can't assure that. I came to you because you seem to be a professional at reviewing, as you've reviewed a few of my articles previously. Could you check my stats (xtools, pages made, logs, afd, contributions) and tell me if you think my work and experience could get my application accepted? I'd only be working in WP:VG. Awaiting your response, MKsLifeInANutshell (talk) 17:30, 27 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @MKsLifeInANutshell, well per WP:AFC/P criteria: you have an account much older than required; double the minimum edits (although I personally think this is a very low); 23 articles created with only 3 deleted shows a fair understanding of the criteria; you have only 18 AfD !votes but that is more than others have been accepted with and a reasonable consensus match rate. Your current talk page looks very promising but the history is worrying due to removal of just negative items, while allowed, is a concern and I would recommend just setting up a standard archive. The fact that the last two reviews were declines is not good, but tbh it looks like it may be notable (I'm too tired to delve deep). In the end it's up to the admins and you have a lot of the basic requirements but I would say maybe wait until more of your AfD !votes have been closed and if you can push Draft:Masquerade: The Baubles of Doom through to acceptance that would probably help. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 18:19, 27 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for replying @KylieTastic, I mean, I understand why you think my edits are low, you have the '250,000 Edits Award.' I had talked to another user previously, he said I could remove them, but If you think I should archive them, I'll do it. I will wait for my AfD !votes to close and for another reviewer's thoughts. Thank you for your comments. Sincerely, MKsLifeInANutshell (talk) 04:19, 28 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hey @MKsLifeInANutshell yup I have edited way too much... maybe I'll retire when I hit 500,000. You certainly can remove such messages and liking a wall of green and positive messages is understandable. I mention it only in the context of wanting to be a reviewer just after having two declines for the area you said you want to work is a negative on a generally positive history. Maybe ask at WT:VG for help/advice on that draft and either get it to main-space or understand why others don't think it shows notability yet. It looks like your creating the AfDs manually and I see no speedy log.... I would recommend enabling Wikipedia:Twinkle, it makes doing tasks like AfD, CSD, maintenance tagging, welcoming all much easier. It also looks like you did the AfD sorting manually so see User:Enterprisey/delsort for a helpful script. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 09:06, 28 April 2024 (UTC)

Your ongoing efforts to improve the encyclopedia have not gone unnoticed: You have been selected as Editor of the Week in recognition of your great contributions! (courtesy of the Wikipedia Editor Retention Project) |
User:Hey man im josh submitted the following nomination for Editor of the Week:
- I nominate KylieTastic to be Editor of the Week for their work at WikiProject Articles for creation. An AFC "expert back of AFC queue reviewers" that handle all the hard AFC drafts. Without editors like this, AFC would grind to a halt. With over 12,000 edits to their AfC log page, including processing over 1,000 drafts so far this year, it is easy to see and understand just how much they do. As one of WikiPedia's most consistent and best AfC reviewers, they are not just taking the easy accepts and declines. No. They are often working requests from the back of the queue and dealing with the more difficult drafts that others have passed over. They routinely show patience, understanding, and a willingness to help coach newer editors that are trying to get into editing, and for that, I think they should be recognized. Thank You for approving my article Nephelium Aculeatum! It was my first article and having an approved article really means a lot. Concerning Draft:Mirage Game Studios
Hello there. I have noticed that you drafted the article of the game developer and submitted it for approval, but was rejected for lack of notability; would it be better to make it a redirect to THQ Nordic instead? It might be justified enough to be used on a few articles regarding its games due to its low but not abysmal notability. I look forward to seeing your opinion on this. MimirIsSmart (talk) 01:33, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
- @MimirIsSmart you sent this to the reviewer rather than the creator as you appear to have intended. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 08:34, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
- Ah my apologies MimirIsSmart (talk) 10:04, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
Image question
Do you ever come across images like this one that are mistakenly identified as "own work"? This image appears to me to be from an old book. Do we know which one? Who is tha man pictured? Any suggestions on how to handle? I don't do much on Commons. Thanks. FloridaArmy (talk) 23:39, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hi FloridaArmy, unfortunately it happens a lot, probably for a variety of reasons. The editor is blocked here and I assume the removed copyvio text on Mosaic Templars Cultural Center was from the same source. I'm guessing the source they used was https://jimcrowmuseum.ferris.edu/question/2018/march.htm so that would make it John E. Bush (Mosaic Templars of America). I've flagged the image on commons. Possible source before that was from this collection. The image could well be 'free' but unfortunately there is no information to judge. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 08:32, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
- @FloridaArmy a source has been found so likely the image will now be kept. KylieTastic (talk) 13:57, 23 May 2024 (UTC)

Need Some Help
Hey Kylie, I've submit a info about a shortfilm and you've declined it
i would be glad if you help how to submit it on wikipedia Shortscifi12 (talk) 18:57, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
- Shortscifi12 all new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). You have nothing but links to the YouTube video and channel. KylieTastic (talk) 19:06, 29 May 2024 (UTC)

Help Me to Improve
Help me to improve the following draft page Draft:João Ferrari, because reference access is very limited. Thank you! Sonicwave01 (talk) 07:30, 2 June 2024 (UTC)
- @Sonicwave01, if there are currently not enough reference to show notability then maybe they are just not currently notable enough for a Wikipedia article. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 08:54, 2 June 2024 (UTC)
Podcast draft
Hi KylieTastic, I noticed that our new podcast page was deleted. The content was intended to verify the authenticity of our podcast, not to promote it. This deletion has affected our efforts to provide accurate information. Could you please advise on the solution to restore the page and ensure it complies with Wikipedia's guidelines? Demhit (talk) 16:03, 2 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Demhit, it may not have been your intent to promote, but it read as promotional than than an encyclopedic article. The admin who deleted it and posted the "Advert and COI warnings" on your talk page thought the same. This is why editing with a conflict of interest is Conflict of interest - see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. As I am not an admin I can no longer see the content to comment further but if I remember it was far from being written in a Neutral point of view with MOS:PUFFERY terms. Articles must be written with a neutral point of view with independent reliable sources. Also all new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). Wikipedia article on Emmeline Pankhurst
Please could you explain to me why you have deleted my photograph of the grave of Emmeline Pankhurst's two sons? It is my own photograph, and it is already posted on Wikimedia Commons. I have posted photos of my own on Wikipedia previously, and haven't had this problem. But then I am not at all technical, so maybe there is something that I'm doing wrong. Thanks! Sartzbird (talk) 16:47, 5 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Sartzbird, you added File:Pankhurst boys' grave which if you had looked at the page after is not valid and shows just a red error. The problem is it's missing any file extension, not an uncommon mistake as many computers hide file extensions and many just don't consider them. I see now that I have dug deeper you have uploaded the image over on commons as a jpg, so File:Pankhurst boys' grave.jpg is the full name you need to use. So just remember to use the full filenames including extensions just as they are listed on commons and you should be good. Although looking at the image I'm struggling to see the value it brings to Emmeline Pankhurst? It appears to not have any markings showing so is just yet another grave that has been sadly neglected. Hope that helps clear things up, Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 17:07, 5 June 2024 (UTC)
Rejection of my article
Hello there KylieTastic. You were my hero growing up. I appreciated everything you had done for wikipedia. The contributions you made. I wanted to be you. So imagine how I felt when you rejected my article about "Aroz Rai". I felt betrayed KylieTastic. You hurt me on a personal level. I tore my KylieTastic posters and spat on them. I need you to know how hurt I was by this KylieTastic. My article about Aroz Rai was created to document this influencer whom in which created my favourite trading card game known as "GEARS" and for you to reject the oppurtunity for others to access information about this great man? Absolutely disgraceful. I am fed up with this treatment. I am planning revenge KylieTastic. And you may wonder how will I get my revenge? Well KylieTastic. I will become rich. I will become so rich in fact I will purchase Wikipedia. After my purchase I will ban you. Yours sincerely ClassyBaxy. Classybaxy (talk) 21:51, 6 June 2024 (UTC)

TNPL Teams
Greetings from Ungal Naan 2.0.
Sir, what is the procedure to reopening those articles (Salem Spartans, Chepauk Super Gillies, Lyca Kovai Kings, IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans, Siechem Madurai Panthers, Trichy Grand Cholas, Nellai Royal Kings & Dindigul Dragons)? Ungal Naan2.0 (talk) 04:25, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Ungal Naan2.0, when articles are deleted via Articles for deletion there two ways to proceed. In this case the best way to proceed would be to go to Wikipedia:Deletion review. In some case if new sources become available that clearly counter the points made in the discussion and notability can be shown then the article can be boldly un-deleted/un-redireted and updated. For articles such as Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Salem Spartans in 2021 that are about a historical season it is unlikely such new information will be available. Also if someone disagrees that the new sources do invalidate the discussion that may just redirect again, so this method is usually for clear cut cases and thus Wikipedia:Deletion review is a safer way to go. Hope that helps, Regards KylieTastic (talk) 09:07, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
There is a mop reserved in your name

Maliner (talk) 15:10, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hey Maliner, thanks for the vote of confidence. With no GAs, FAs or DYNs a lot would disagree.... but maybe one day. Thanks again KylieTastic (talk) 18:40, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
- I don't know when we should understand content creation is not actually that important. We see people maintaining those good and featured articles thereon. However, I am super in love with your passion about and on reviewing. You are not long from going, its more or less near. Have my extreme support @User:KylieTastic. Safari ScribeEdits! Talk! 21:08, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
- For what it's worth, 3 of the people at WP:RFX300 (myself, Tamzin, Floq) did not have a GA either. The thing people preach is about "content experience", of which, I think can easily be argued you have plenty of based on your significant work at AFC. Hey man im josh (talk) 21:13, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hey man im josh, User:SafariScribe, sounds like you two could do with a bit of writing practice: pick something and bring it up to GA level! (Haha, pick this, Draft:Aroz Rai.) KylieTastic, a GA is not a requirement; I would support without it, though I would like to see that a candidate has actual experience writing actual articles. No one needs a rollbacker; we need admins who support content creators (I mean, that's one of the many things we need admins for), so valid experience should be good enough. Drmies (talk) 19:49, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
- Not having a GA is risky, but is probably doable in your case, since I think the rest of your record is stellar. Or you could just write a GA real quick. It isn't too bad once you find a short article and a couple books. –Novem Linguae (talk) 21:28, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
- @Novem Linguae: I think this is one of the very rare cases it's hard to argue against a user's content experience, eh? As we both know, KylieTastic handles things from the back of the queue fairly often and isn't afraid to tackle the tough drafts when no one else really does. The amount of work they've done for years is ridiculous. They have experience in so many areas of content and notability, and would have a demonstrated need from what I can see. Lots of reports at UAA, at AIV, extensive CSD log, and would have a use for G6 deleting redirects. Good history of coaching users up to go along with it. All of it's related to AFC, so really, their habits wouldn't need to change, they'd just be able to handle things directly, which, from my point of view, I don't doubt they'd be good at doing. The more I think about it, the more I honestly think it makes a lot of sense for Kylie to have the toolset. Hey man im josh (talk) 23:07, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
- I think you have a much better shot than you give yourself credit for. You're someone who does backlog crushing well and with kindness... we need more people like that. If you ever want to consider it, feel free to reach out. Clovermoss🍀 (talk) 04:12, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
- As for your lack of GAs/FAs... the way I see it, your area of expertise requires extensive knowledge that can be shown through content creation but that isn't the only way to show these skills. You also have created a good handful of articles, even if those shiny accolades aren't attached. Most of the people I've seen requiring content creation don't actually require GAs/FAs (see this essay for an example of what I mean). Evaluating drafts requires good policy knowledge and you have the temperament skills that I look for in an admin. Everything else can be learned on the job (I'm still figuring things out right now). I wouldn't reach out to someone about this if I didn't think they had a good chance of passing. I care too much about people to give them that sort of false hope or heartbreak on seeing things go south. I genuinely do think that you could run successfully in the near future, if you chose to do so. However, I understand if you don't want to and will respect whatever choice you make. I was incredibly hesitant about RfA for a really long time myself. Clovermoss🍀 (talk) 04:24, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
- We have admin elections in October too, if you want to try out a new system and run at the same time as other people. –Novem Linguae (talk) 05:21, 11 June 2024 (UTC)

- You have an enviable experience! You work at NPP, AfC, CSD, AIV, UAA, etc, is very much valuable to me than a GA/FA. It takes a great deal of knowledge and experience to be able to handle what you're currently handling and that is what I value. I've always considered my work in this small corner of the internet was generally unnoticed, apart from the odd outlier. My thoughts on adminship has always been that while I would be happy to help mop I would get a very mixed to negative response at RfA, especially from those that dislike Draft and AfC. I just clicked the cite link in the top menu, and in the automatic tab just pasted the url. However, you should note that most blogs are not reliable sources so should not be used.

- Hello Mam,
- I'm New to wikipedia on 7 May 2024 this draft was declined by you. As I didn't put any refrence in this draft that time. Shri Dharm Paul Ji was Journalist and He passed away in 1990. so we have less reliable source on internet about him. Some of his work was founded to me on google books and I also put on this draft also. I wanted to know that can these types of refrence apporve my draft. If we have less source about a person on internet so what we do to approve our drafts. Kunalmasson (talk) 12:04, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
Regarding controversial AfC decline
Hey @KylieTastic, the page you linked, as the justification for declinging my AfC (Draft:Hailey Welch), because Haliey Welch, was already in the mainspace. This prompted me to look into edit history of Haliey Welch, and the edit history shows it was created 15 minutes after my draft was submitted and created. I created the article first and the edit history shows the user who published Haliey Welch, to mainspace did so 15 minutes after I created Draft:Hailey Welch and submitted to AfC.
This morning the page Haliey Welch, still seemed to be a very closely paraphrased version of my article submission, but has now been changed. I spent a lot of time and care on creating my draft, and am the original author, so I'm asking for some assistance and guidance here.
Very much thanks. Comintell (talk) 23:17, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- Btw there is an AfD for Haliey Welch, and this situation is a bit frustrating, but I feel my copy was written in a more encyclopedic way than the paraphrased second version the user published in the mainspace. Just looking for justice and credit here. Comintell (talk) 23:20, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- Comintell firstly you just need to let the AfD run it's course: If the decision is delete then it makes no difference, if it's keep as Hawk Tuah then I have updated my comment on the AfD to agree your draft should be moved to keep creator attribution. Usually the problem we have someone create a new article in main space while an earlier creator is waiting for a draft review at AfC. I have never thought it fair - sometimes admins have been happy to sort, other times not. Possibly see Wikipedia:History merging as an option to request better attribution, if that becomes an issue after the AfD has been closed. I'm not an admin so it's not my call. Frankly I find it depressing that we live in a world where a single statement said by an unknown drunk girl that people have a laugh over for a while is even considered encyclopedic. - Hi Crash41, all new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). It is not just about showing the existence of a subject. News article about the story do not help to show notability of the documentary at all, nor do non-independent sources such as bigwavesinc.org. Request on 20:52:20, 7 August 2024 for assistance on AfC submission by TheUndercoverBoss
Thank you for reviewing my submission on Caleb Carter-West. I would like to address your concerns regarding notability and the provided references.
Significant Coverage in Reliable Sources: Chronicle Live Article: This source offers detailed coverage of Caleb’s establishment of a nonprofit organisation, highlighting his motivations and impact NHS Profile: Caleb served as a public official elected by the public in the UK, holding public office as Governor of Neurological Disabilities, a position that involves significant public responsibilities and contributions. These sources collectively provide substantial, independent coverage, satisfying the General Notability Guideline (GNG) by addressing Caleb’s contributions and roles in detail.
Thank you for reconsidering the submission with this context.
TheUndercoverBoss (talk) 20:52, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
- @TheUndercoverBoss, your first source does not even mention the subject and is about a "Louis Armstrong". The claim is that "he changed his name from Louis Armstrong to Caleb Carter-West" but that is not backed up by the second source that is just a basic listing. Even if they were the same person it is just a single local news article so not notable. The way you have written this suggests that this is you or you have some other undisclosed Wikipedia:Conflict of interest (see WP:DISCLOSE section). Regards KylieTastic (talk) 21:12, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
Bright Lights (Killers song)
Hello, and good afternoon! Last night, my article was declined. I believe is was declined because of its sources were not notable. It told me that YouTube videos and the band's website weren't notable. That's totally fine. But could you give me some examples of sources I should use? My article is about a new single that The Killers came out with on the 9th, it's called "Bright Lights." What are some things that I should find to make my article more notable?
Thanks! HoodedBeast09 (talk) 19:19, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi HoodedBeast09, it's best to look at WP:NSONG for what the criteria are for a song/single. I declined it as the YouTube videos just show it exists, not that it is notable. Note that user-generated sources such as rateyourmusic.com are not good sources and in the case of rateyourmusic.com also fully depreciated (WP:RATEYOURMUSIC). Usually with albums or singles the best thing is too find reviews for established sources and too list any significant charting or awards. I'm too tired to read the new updates, but you are certainly progressing in the correct direction with better sources. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 19:56, 11 August 2024 (UTC)

A question about pending AfC drafts
Hi, I've recently been cleaning up the draft on Kraig Krause that was submitted to AfC approximately 3 months ago; since you edited the draft and also review pending AfC submissions, I was wondering if you could review the improved article. Thank you for your time :) 3a:ec04 (talk | contribs) 22:50, 12 August 2024 (UTC)
- My apologies, I just saw the banner at the top of the page. 3a:ec04 (talk | contribs) 22:57, 12 August 2024 (UTC)
- No worries 3aec04, hopefully someone will get around to it soon. However even a quick glance shows a problem: it looks like 8/10 of the sources are from CTV News or Global News so not independent. All new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 07:54, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
Would you be able to help with this entry? How do I determine if he is still alive? FloridaArmy (talk) 14:14, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
- FloridaArmy, I think maybe this is him if so died December 2014 - but that is only based on a comment "I Will always cherish the memory of James and the good works he did in service to his community and as a State Representative". I looked but I could find no other fuller obituary. KylieTastic (talk) 17:03, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
- That appears to be him. Here is a photo of him and his wife. He is listed as James E. Dean. I am not sure what the E. stands for. Per here. FloridaArmy (talk) 17:15, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
- FloridaArmy if ancestry can be believed he is "James Edward Dean" but it has no source for it. The 1950 census just lists him as "James, Negro, son, age 6, born Georgia". this apparently is his father but he is just mentioned as "State Representative"! KylieTastic (talk) 17:26, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
- I found a source confirm that date for his death and additional coverage. Thanks so much for your help! FloridaArmy (talk) 17:27, 16 August 2024 (UTC)

Decline reason when unreferenced
Not challenging the decision, but why did you decline Draft:IMU-CET as nn rather than v? Asking as someone new to the reviewing process. I declined Draft:Dose Of Doctors with verifiability as the main concern because it was similarly unreferenced, without making judgment on notability yet. Reconrabbit 16:41, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Reconrabbit, some people in the past have objected to the use of 'v' on it's own - I can't find the discussion but I think it was because they don't think you should encourage someone to think it just needs sources and it will be accepted. Basically because v lacks any mention of notability, but you amended that with a comment in your case. nn, and others like bio, say what the sources need to show rather than just add sources. In general we are here to judge notability as shown by the presented sources (unless you want to do a WP:BEFORE). I usually only use v with other reasons, the only time I use on it's own is if I'm fairly sure it would be notable if the claims were sourced. So for Draft:IMU-CET it looks half like an advert and may or may not be notable (I'm guessing not), so pointing out the notability requirements as the key concern is what I went for. Hope that helps, any other questions happy to answer. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 17:38, 23 August 2024 (UTC)

- Yes, not every person has enough sources to show they are notable (see WP:N). Some may never be, for others it's just too soon. Many people do great things that just don't get written about, it does not make them or there work not important, just not Wikipedia notable. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 15:42, 24 August 2024 (UTC)

Enver Tohti draft article
Hi, I notice you changed the ":" characters in the "web cite" references in the article I just created on this subject (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:Enver_Tohti) to "|" characters, which appears to have rendered the links non-functional. This was my first stab at creating an article from scratch, so I'm not familiar with all the procedures, and am just wondering why you did this. Thank you for explaining. Starchild (talk) 08:13, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @StarchildSF if you look at your version here the cites where just errors with nothing working. All templates on Wikipedia (things in double curly brackets {{ }} have the parameters split by pipes '|') so you were using template "cite web: Access Date=26 August 2024" rather than just "cite web". I then realised the rest was also wrong but got distracted by an email. I've redone them from scratch to fix fully. See {{cite web}} for all the parameters and Help:Referencing for beginners for more on referencing in general. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 08:31, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
Greater Manchester route 100 article
Your decision of declining I think isn't right. Instead, I think the article should be published to let others edit. This may easier for me to seek assistance from others on editing. TL9027 (talk) 16:02, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
- @TL9027 the original article was moved to Draft because it showed no sign of notability and I see you have other articles flagged for deletion. Most bus routes are just not notable. Wikipedia does not have articles on everything that exist, only subjects that meet the WP:Notability guidelines. Your first source is a blog which are generally not considered reliable sources however I believe this guy has some reputation in the field so it gives it some worth. The next source does not mention the route as far as I can see, it's about the Bee Network not the route. The other sources are just timetables so nothing to help show any form of notability. It's important to understand the basics of notability (see WP:GNG) otherwise you can end up getting very frustrated and disappointed, and we don;t want to loose motivated editors. Most of us have had subjects we wanted to write an article about but could not find enough coverage in reliable sources, it's just the way Wikipedia works unfortunately. If enough sources do not exist for each route at the moment then you could maybe add sub sections to Bee Network instead. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 16:36, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
Hello, KylieTastic,
I think you filed this under the wrong username. There has been User:C PERUMAL EX MP and User:Perumal.C Ex-Mp (both blocked) but no User:C PERUMAL EX MP). I'm not sure but you might be able to just move this SPI page to one of the other usernames rather than deleting and then recreating it. Liz Read! Talk! 17:48, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
- Yup @Liz, I missed the bracket on the end. Third stupid mistake of the day. Thanks for the heads-up. I tried to move and it says I don't have permissions, so I'll have to leave it for an admin. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 18:24, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
Tech News: 2024-36
Latest tech news from the Wikimedia technical community. Please tell other users about these changes. Not all changes will affect you. Translations are available.
Weekly highlight
- Editors and volunteer developers interested in data visualisation can now test the new software for charts. Its early version is available on beta Commons and beta Wikipedia. This is an important milestone before making charts available on regular wikis. You can read more about this project update and help to test the charts.
Feature news
- Editors who use the Special:UnusedTemplates page can now filter out pages which are expected to be there permanently, such as sandboxes, test-cases, and templates that are always substituted. Editors can add the new magic word
__EXPECTUNUSEDTEMPLATE__
to a template page to hide it from the listing. Thanks to Sophivorus and DannyS712 for these improvements. [14] - Editors who use the New Topic tool on discussion pages, will now be reminded to add a section header, which should help reduce the quantity of newcomers who add sections without a header. You can read more about that, and 28 other community-submitted tasks that were resolved last week.
- Last week, some Toolforge tools had occasional connection problems. The cause is still being investigated, but the problems have been resolved for now. [15]
- Translation administrators at multilingual wikis, when editing multiple translation units, can now easily mark which changes require updates to the translation. This is possible with the new dropdown menu.
Project updates
- A new draft text of a policy discussing the use of Wikimedia's APIs has been published on Meta-Wiki. The draft text does not reflect a change in policy around the APIs; instead, it is an attempt to codify existing API rules. Comments, questions, and suggestions are welcome on the proposed update’s talk page until September 13 or until those discussions have concluded.

Jane Wills
okay, first hi
You rejected my draft of Jane Wills (New Zealand actor). i know that you just did your job. But i worked more than 12 hours on that article. Iam not asking to review my request again but i ask you for help, help with my article, that the draft is good enouhg for public. thanks for giving respons Kaat2005 (talk) 18:09, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Kaat2005, sorry yes it's a fundamental problem with the idea that anyone can edit and submit a draft with no prior knowledge of the policies and guidelines of Wikipedia. I personally think anyone should have a minimum number of edits or have gone though some quiz or something so that they understand the key requirement of nobility (See WP:N). It would save a lot of disappointment and I can sympathise with you spending many hours on something to only later find key requirements. I will note that it may be that sources do exist to show she is notable per Wikipedia guidelines, but I did google and could not see enough, so it may just be WP:TOOSOON. If I, or any other reviewer, did accept it there are multiple people reviewing all new accepts and it would almost certainly to be soon flagged for deletion. If you can't find multiple independent reliable sources with significant coverage the best thing is to leave it for now. In most cases drafts are only deleted after 6 months of no edits so if in the next five months you find more sources appear you can update and resubmit. I know it's not what wanted to hear but this is why Fandom (website) exist, for subjects that are not yet encyclopedic notable enough for here but have enough fans to have a fandom page. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 18:31, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
I am not sure
Hello, i just got a notification form you but i am unsure what it says or means, i am sorry please could you explain, Thanks SwimmersSocial (talk) 12:13, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
Yes i have used AI to write it but i have also sent it to Jon and he has confirmed and made a few edits towards it so it is fully clear and correct, Thanks SwimmersSocial (talk) 12:15, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi SwimmersSocial, firstly don't get AIs to generate articles, they often make things up (See Hallucination (artificial intelligence)), they also tend to write in a less formal encyclopedic style and also they do not reference things properly. Secondly, you say you asked Jon so assuming that is the subject you have a Wikipedia:Conflict of interest - you need to read that policy and noting the mandatory requirement to disclose connections (see WP:DISCLOSE). Finally, all new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). You have no sources, and as an encyclopedia we care about what independent sources say about a subject not what they say about themselves. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 12:22, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
The Harveys and the Klan
I see in the article William West Harvey that you wrote some time ago that he and his brother A. M. Harvey were thought to be in the Klan. But when I looked at the reference given, the snippets of the book that were available looked ambiguous to me, or perhaps even indicating that the Harveys were opponents of the Klan. Do you have access to the full text of the book, and does it really indicate they were likely Klansmen? It seems a little unlikely given that Alexander Harvey at least worked on a prominent free speech case, but there certainly were a lot of Klansmen back then.Brianyoumans (talk) 21:25, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, Brianyoumans, google books has a very annoying feature: if you search direct it will often show a complete page but when you link it then hide some or all of the page. If you go to the search results in books for '"W. W. Harvey" Klansmen' this should work you get a result of the book page 101. If you select that you should be able to read the complete page and the start of the chapter on page 100. It documents the at the time the Klan was pulling in lots of office holders. When you see the restricted version I agree the "opponents" word is in unclear context, but in the full text its clear the word is in reference to T. A. Powell and Louis S. Harvey being Democrats. However, it does look like I misread this and it was just listing the brothers of Louis S. Harvey to show he was from a "prominent political family". They could have been members as well, but a lot of the office holders kept it on the down-low, but others clearly get called member in the newspapers of the day like it's no big deal. I did a search of the contemporary news and could not find any sources to say he agreed or disagreed with his brother (294 pages mention "W. W. Harvey" and the Klan in Kansas, so I didn't read them all). Thanks for flagging the issue, I've corrected my mistake in the article. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 08:36, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for clearing that up! Yeah, using stuff on Google Books and other limited access sites can be a little dicey. And sometimes someone calls me on something I wrote years ago and I'm like, why did I put that in? Even if I did source it properly, which I am not always perfect about. The Harvey brothers were all successful politicians of the time, but I don't get the impression they worked closely together, so maybe the Klan influence didn't pervade the family. Brianyoumans (talk) 14:17, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
Sam Forster article
Hi there,
It seems you were involved in the rejection of the article for Sam Forster, despite the inclusion of numerous reputable, international media sources.
Can I get some clarity on why this page was rejected? Violetpennington (talk) 20:24, 8 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, @Violetpennington I did not review the article I just removed the dailymail.co.uk source as it is depreciated per WP:DAILYMAIL. It was BuySomeApples that reviewed it last in January but it has been updated and resubmitted since and is waiting a review. There is as always a backlog as we have no where near enough volunteer reviewers, but the backlog is down from 3000+ to 1700 recently so hopefully it will be picked up soon. "File: Jithu Madhavan.jpg"
As you know I added a photo of Jithu in his page. Now it is removed because of copyright issues. And I'm 100% sure that that photo of Jithu Madhavan is not a copyrighted material and anyone can use it. I think it's a mistake from you. If you read this message please try to add his photo again. Vasudevmadhu67 (talk) 01:33, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Vasudevmadhu67, File:Jithu Madhavan.jpg was deleted over on Commons as a copyright violation as it was just taken from https://www.instagram.com/bshifina/p/CrF00LvPGn3/ All previously published images are copyright protected unless there is a general exclusion like the copyright has expired, exempt, or is from a source that has declared that they 'freely' license the image compatible with Commons:Licensing. There is no declaration so it is 100% not compatible with the Wikimedia license terms. KylieTastic (talk) 08:31, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
- ok I will try not to take photos like that. Vasudevmadhu67 (talk) 17:12, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
Regarding "Bagri Kumhar" Article
While citing a book on Wikipedia, is the page number of the book or the page number of the PDF required? Tizzythewhale (talk) 12:00, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Tizzythewhale, good question. To be honest I've seen both, but I;ve mostly seen and I've always used myself the actual page marked if they have one as others may have a physical copy or the digitised version can sometimes be updated. I usually have the marked page number in the page= parameter and link to the pdf/digitised version page in the url (if possible) as you can do with archive.org books. I would like to give a firm source guideline for that, but can't find one so if you want I would ask at Wikipedia:Teahouse. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 12:31, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
- and when it will be reviewed by wikipedia? Tizzythewhale (talk) 12:38, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Tizzythewhale, all submitted articles are reviewed by volunteers in no particular order so you'll just have to be patient. However just a couple of months ago the backlog was 3500+ and up to 4 months, but recently we have it down to 1500 and only 150 have been waiting 3 months. About the article "Bagri Kumhar"
I have cited Raj era sources in the article, with proper disclaimer, is it correct. Please Check the article. Tizzythewhale (talk) 16:52, 16 September 2024 (UTC)
- I assume you are talking about the comment about "Raj era sources" and WP:RAJ. I have not been aware of WP:RAJ before as it is not an area I generally edit. I note it is a Wikipedia essay rather than a policy: sometimes essays are clear and correct explanations of the current consensus other times more individuals opinions. As I'm not familiar with the topic area or essays creator I can't really comment. I would suggest either asking the editor who made the comment (Bonadea) or ask in a more general forum such as the Wikipedia:Teahouse to get possible input from lots of experienced editors some who should be familiar with this topic area. Other than the Wikipedia:Teahouse I guess Wikipedia talk:Noticeboard for India-related topics would be a good place to find people more familiar with the subject and best suited to give advice. Draft:King Sis
Hello, I noticed you declined my article draft submission for creation. I would love to know what to do in order to make it approved in terms of adding significances. I have a couple of facts I am thinking of adding, but I don’t know if they are enough to make this article set for approval. If you could either explain to me what to add to improve my article or contribute to it to fix what needs improvement, I would be more than grateful. Thanks! Have a good night. Musicbladesuitbox (talk) 20:48, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Musicbladesuitbox, all new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). In this case also see Wikipedia:Notability (music). Your article Draft:King Sis has two sources both are interviews which are not an independent reliable sources so do not help show any notability. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 20:58, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you! Could you please do me a favour and search for sources that are genuinely reliable by Wikipedia guidelines? I’d be happy to accept edits from anyone at anytime, with an exception being vandalism, of course :) Musicbladesuitbox (talk) 21:02, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry, but I have my own lists of hundreds of articles to work on as well as reviewing submissions. I also just noticed that it has recently been deleted by AfD see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/King Sis so people already looked for sources and failed to find enough. Maybe just WP:TOOSOON for this subject. KylieTastic (talk) 21:05, 17 September 2024 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Pacific High School (Pacific, Missouri)
Message added 23:57, 18 September 2024 (UTC). You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
I have worked hard to compile a biography of an author, Abid Ali Mir, who has been featured in over 8 news media channels. However, the article was rejected without any in-depth research or consideration. I believe this deserves a closer review to ensure accuracy and fairness. Avinycomm (talk) 14:14, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
- It is pure promotion, the same as when it was Draft:Abid Ali Kashmiri from you wit the account you are not block evading. Wikipedia is not for you to promote (yourself). KylieTastic (talk) 14:19, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
Page mover granted
Hello, KylieTastic. Your account has been granted the "extendedmover" user right, either following a request for it or demonstrating familiarity with working with article names and moving pages. You are now able to rename pages without leaving behind a redirect, move subpages when moving the parent page(s), and move category pages.
Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Page mover for more information on this user right, especially the criteria for moving pages without leaving a redirect. Please remember to follow post-move cleanup procedures and make link corrections where necessary, including broken double-redirects when suppressredirect
is used. This can be done using Special:WhatLinksHere. It is also very important that no one else be allowed to access your account, so you should consider taking a few moments to secure your password. As with all user rights, be aware that if abused, or used in controversial ways without consensus, your page mover status can be revoked.

DILAR
1. The person is regarded as an important figure or is widely cited by peers or successors; or
2. The person is known for originating a significant new concept, theory, or technique; or
3. The person has created or played a major role in co-creating a significant or well-known work or collective body of work. In addition, such work must have been the primary subject of multiple independent periodical articles or reviews, or of an independent and notable work (for example, a book, film, or television series, but usually not a single episode of a television series); or
4. The person's work (or works) has: (a) become a significant monument, (b) been a substantial part of a significant exhibition, (c) won significant critical attention, or (d) been represented within the permanent collections of several notable galleries or museums
5. The person has had significant roles in multiple notable films, television shows, stage performances, or other productions; or
6. The person has made unique, prolific or innovative contributions to a field of entertainment.
Many of the above criteria are met by DILAR. Do you want me to add links in the article? InfoScribeData (talk) 20:29, 24 September 2024 (UTC)
- I have no idea what DILAR is but the first 4 points are from WP:CREATIVE (not sure where the last 2 are from). As your submission has been deleted as "U5: Misuse of Wikipedia as a web host: G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion" I can't see it to comment and I don't remember it. But as an admin deleted it for those reasons it was probably very promotional and did not have independent reliable sources that showed those points. KylieTastic (talk) 20:41, 24 September 2024 (UTC)

Hi Kylie,
I've made the corrections as you pointed out. Not sure if you can take a quick look and see how it looks. I'll be heading out to London this Saturday then to East Asia. I know I should have started this earlier, but it is what it is. Any tips will be greated appreciated!
This is regarding Draft:List of bird photography awards
Best Wishes!

- Hi Jackiewaldan, I'm not doing much on Wikipedia at the moment due to much real life issues to deal with. Also to be fair to all submitters I don't review/re-review on request, I just pick new and old submissions at random or work on certain topics, so it may or may not be myself who reviews it next. The backlog is still slowly reducing so max wait times are also coming down, but everyone else waiting is in the same boat. It's not great, it would be nice if every review was done in days, but we just don't have enough volunteers. You could always try to ask for input from interested parties like Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Photography. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 21:37, 26 September 2024 (UTC)

Hamm (Toy Story)
Hello, how can we public the hamm page on Wikipedia. I wanted information added and for it to be public page instead of draft? Ethan169 (talk) 14:15, 30 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Ethan169, All new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). Draft:Hamm (Toy Story) has no references at all. KylieTastic (talk) 14:46, 30 September 2024 (UTC)
Double fudge
Re this edit of yours: didn't spot the {{draft categories}}? ;) Paradoctor (talk) 14:29, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Paradoctor it's the AFCH tool that does that. It's a raised issued on github "Don't add colons to wikilinks inside of Draft categories #256". KylieTastic (talk) 14:34, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks, noted for future reference.
- They really should make draft space ignore maincats per default. 🤷 Paradoctor (talk) 14:39, 5 October 2024 (UTC)

Inquiry Regarding Article Rejection
Dear KylieTastic, I hope this message finds you well. I noticed that my submission for the article on Akila Daily was declined on October 12, 2024. I appreciate your work in maintaining the quality of Wikipedia and would like to understand the reasons behind the rejection. I have observed that the article for Daily Punjab Times has been accepted despite some similarities in content and structure. I am keen to ensure that my submission meets Wikipedia’s guidelines and would greatly appreciate any specific feedback you could provide on what aspects of my article fell short. Additionally, if you have suggestions on how I can improve the article for future submissions, I would be grateful for your guidance. Thank you for your time and assistance. Xzingemer (talk) 18:31, 12 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Xzingemer, it was declined as presented not rejected outright. Wikipedia's policies and guidelines have changed over the years and some old articles do not meet current standards. Slowly editors find these articles and either improve if sources exist or submit for deletion. I don't have time to review fully but I have tagged that one with issues as it looks to be probably also un-notable. All new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). Draft:Akila Daily only has sources to show it exists, not that it is notable. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 18:40, 12 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for your prompt response and for clarifying the reasons behind the decline of my article on Akila Daily. I appreciate your insights regarding Wikipedia's notability standards and the need for significant coverage in reliable sources. Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to your guidance on how to enhance the article and better align it with Wikipedia’s standards. Xzingemer (talk) 18:44, 12 October 2024 (UTC)
- Dear KylieTastic,
- I hope this message finds you well. Following our recent discussion, I wanted to let you know that I have been actively reviewing and editing several articles that I found to have multiple issues, including notability concerns and a lack of reliable sourcing.
- In some cases, I have submitted articles for deletion that do not meet Wikipedia’s guidelines, as they lack sufficient references or do not demonstrate notability. Since many of these articles were created by other editors, I want to ensure that my edits align with Wikipedia's standards and do not overlook any important guidelines.
- Could you please take a moment to review my edits? I would greatly appreciate any feedback or insights on whether I have made any mistakes or if there are additional steps I should take to address these concerns properly.
- Thank you for your continued support and guidance. Xzingemer (talk) 19:01, 12 October 2024 (UTC)
- You have not submitted any articles for deletion, you have added some maintenance tags to highlight issues to readers/editors - there are many such templates see Wikipedia:Template index/Cleanup. Deletion is a separate process: see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. KylieTastic (talk) 09:17, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
Hey KylieTasic good news Already added sources and the contestants per WP:SOURCED. Are you ready to Move to mainspace Article. 77.77.219.225 (talk) 19:55, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
- I have added the template to that draft that has the button to submit for review. Sorry but to be fair to all submitters I don't review/re-review on request, I just pick new and old submissions at random or work on certain topics, so it may or may not be myself who reviews it next. Also I'm currently taking a semi-break to deal with real-life issues. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 21:33, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
Hello, I hope I'm following the right conventions by reaching out this way, but just had a quick question about the nobility of this draft that you rejected.
1. Totally got that it needs more sources, I'm working on that albiet slowly (firewall where I'm editing :/ no internet archive most of the time)
2. You said that the article wasn't shown to be WP:NOTABLE. While I understand WP:NOTINHERITED, this insitution has multiple alumni with articles some of which were redlinked when I created the draft. (how I found it) Just seems to me that a degee granting insitute is notable in of itself even outside of the anglosphere. Also not sure if I'm violating a convention by saying this (haven't spent much time on WP) - but it appears to be written about in other languages whichs seems at least some measure of notability.
Either way just wanted some clarification Normalman101 (talk) 19:33, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, Normalman101 yes the internet archive being down has been annoying, but there is no rush. As presented it did not show that it was notable from the sources but that does not mean it isn't, also most of the content appeared to be unsourced. References do not have to be in English so please do use ones written in other languages, I would guess many are in Spanish. although each language Wikipedia has it's own polices and guidelines yoou can also check the sources used in the Spanish version es:Instituto de Profesores Artigas. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 08:53, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
- Ok thank you, I've been trying to get some spanish language sources. BTW the firewall thing is just a me issue and extends further due to the firewall over this internet connection specifically. Normalman101 (talk) 20:58, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
- Don't mean to bug, but I got to another place where I can edit and things are going much smoother now, got to 11 sources from 3 when you reviewed, (I know you don't do re-reviews just saying) Normalman101 (talk) 00:14, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
