Why did you cut down the list? I made a generalized list for all PJATO books which included the names of the other books as well as few other links. This pattern is being followed in all the other articles. Do you think that someone who reads on TLO will not want to know about the other books. But good job in removing Known Facts. I know I have been contributing to it, but that was only because the situation was totally out of control: I knew that if I removed the section, it would immediately start an edit war and the article was most likely to be deleted. Anyway, now that you are back, we must work to promote all the articles to C-class and the articles related to the books to GA-class. Oh, I think you should know that I have nominated The Lightning Thief for GA as per a recommendation by a WikiProject Children's & Young Adult Literature member. Help Me

{{helpme}} I am trying to upload an picture for the article: Brandon Soo Hoo. Don't fully understand the criteria for an image of a living person that makes it a picture valid to upload. I need help decided what kind of picture I need to find and what rights I need to upload it.Kingrock 05:16, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

For a living person you need a public domain image or an image released under another free licesnse (which should be uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons rather than here). For many, many people, even very famous people, there are no free images available, which is why many really high-interest articles on living people, edited by lots of users, still have no images. In most cases, fair use does not apply to any copyrighted photographs of living people, so there often is no valid picture to upload. What happens then is that Wikipedians take photographs themselves somewhere and then release the picture. This is why so many article on, for example actors, who were once beautiful young things and are really only recognizable by their relatively young appearance, often feature recent pictures of the actor, now 80-years-old. This is not ideal but the best we can do. It's a bit morbid but often a Wikipedia article does not and cannot get a decent image until after a famous person dies, because after they die there is no way to take a photograph of the person, so fair use of a good image becomes okay because no free image can be taken in the future.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 05:37, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
Indeed. You need a truly free image; I just had a bit of a look on Flickr and elsewhere, and couldn't find one. You could try emailing the person (via the agent or whatever) and see if they will supply you with an image. (Use [1] one of these boilerplate emails). That image is not in the public domain simply because it has no copyright information. The opposite is true. We assume it is copyrighted if it has no information on its source because the act of creation of an image imposes a copyright. Sorry, but it very likely will and should be deleted. In order to claim fair use, you have to know the source and how it was actually released, either by it have been published more than 120 years ago, because the author specifically declared release, or for other reasons.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 06:09, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Well, if wireimage is the author of the image, clearly stated, then contact them to ask for release. Please see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission generally and Wikipedia:Example requests for permission for some specific release language you can use. P.S. I have my doubts they will release any image because their business is the images and protecting them and selling their use. Note the following from their policy pages: "This Site is owned by WireImage. The Lightning Thief

May I ask why the Awards and Nomination section does not belong in the Lightning Thief article? Does that mean that you think that it looks like a fansite? Or is it because you think that it makes the article unnecessarily long? Please put your comments in the talk page and suggest what we can do to expand the article. Man, I'm not your owner bro. I edit because I think it makes things better, if you disagree with one of my edits just revert but give a good reason why. You don't have to constantly ask me why. I only get in edit wars when I have strong opinions about something. Also you say you really want to be an admin. Don't focus on that, focus on being the best editor possible. Try to wait for some else to nominate you. Trust me, I've been their before. Eventually all you'll think about is adminship, trust me, that's not good. Neutral box covers

Lost Planet 2

Yes it may be released for PS3, but all we know right now is that it is going to be released for Xbox. I didn't switch it because it's my image (by all means, if one my images is wrong, change it) but because it is that fact that the game is only so far being released for Xbox. Izuna 2: The Unemployed Ninja Returns

Hey, thanks for the quick review on Izuna 2: The Unemployed Ninja Returns. I saw you failed the article without giving me a chance to fix it; is this because it's not even fixable, or is it because it fell under some quick-fail criteria? In any event, let me try to talk it out with you here so I can improve this article to GA class.

  • The standard lead for a video game article is the first paragraph representing the intro, the second introducing the plot, and the third talking about reception. I have already split the lead in 3, try to expand on the lead, it is very important. Try talking about more sales numbers and critical reception in the third paragraph and try to expand on the story in the lead. I'll expand critical reception and expand the Plot section, which I agree is lacking. I highly doubt sales numbers are available (it's a DS game, what do you expect?)

  • This section is very confusing the way it's written. I was very confused reading it. Can you expand your rational for this a bit? If this is seriously a problem, I do need to fix it. If you can give me specific lines, I'll take a look and work on improving the writing/coherence.
"Equipment and items can be found in dungeons and are also randomly generated. Equipment comes in several classes: melee weapons such as swords, claws, arms, dolls, and boots, or ranged weapons such as boomerangs and bows.[8] To discourage players from switching equipment continuously, equipment is given a LUV stat which increases as the equipment is used. The LUV stat increases the efficiency of the weapon, causing it to deal more damage, have a higher hit rate, and have a higher chance to get critical hits. Items include pills, which can be ingested by Izuna or thrown at enemies, ninja items, such as the shuriken, kunai knives, bombs, and caltrops, and restorative items.[9] The last type of items is talismans. Talismans can upgrade weapons or cast magic, and, like pills, can be thrown at enemies. Using a talisman to cast magic uses SP.[8]

Izuna 2 also includes a "tag" system not found in the previous game. The player can switch characters in game during a fight through this system.[10] The player enters dungeons with a second character who can replace the first character, allowing players to continue exploring dungeons even after the first character is low on health.[11] Additionally, the player can use the secondary character in conjunction with the primary character to launch a powerful dual attack.[7]"--These two paragraphs are very confusing to me.

  • Theres no clear explanation for SP. Please be clearer. Monitor your NPOV in this section. I almost quick failed this article for it. I can clarify SP, but where is my POV coming into play? I can't see it myself, so could you provide quotes?
Don't worry about it. It's quite embarassing to admit I was thinking of another article when doing the review.
  • Why do you only provide a limited overview of the game? Please provide the full plot with cites included. I agree I need to expand the plot; I'll work on this when I actually beat the game. I assume it's OK to just cite the game itself, considering how not a single review mentions the general plot of the game, no?

  • Mix the last three paragraphs together and add more reviews to the table. There are 18 reviews, total, of this game. The ones I placed in the table were those that I judged to be notable and from reputable sources; if you wish for me to add reviews from groups like RPGamer and Joystiq, I can do so; however, those are not well-backed game-reviewing agencies.
Either way, still merge these paragraphs together. Unless each paragraph will contain a different response(i.e. negative and then positive). Check out Gears of War 2. I didn't write the whole section but someone was going by the kind of design if you will.
  • If this article was an editor, WP:SNOW would apply here. This article has barely been edited and has under 500 edits on it's history. Editcount? I did a single edit in which I dumped all the material in it for two reasons: One, for DYK, two because it was my 2.000th edit, and I wanted to do something special. Oh, and for future reference, WP:SNOW doesn't apply to:

    An uphill battle [that] is extremely difficult but potentially winnable.

    SNOW would imply that this article can never reach GA, but I don't believe this is the case.
You committed one single edit to this article, in which you dumped all the content? I think your saying you got rid of content for DYK? What I'm trying to say is, work on it. Theres no need to rush.   • more content to this article and edit it a lot. It is brand new and needs lots of work. What additional content needs adding? I don't think it needs all that much more work. I'm not going for FA here, you know.

Would you mind if I asked for a second opinion? I do believe this article can pass GAN, so after adding the improvements you've suggested, I will send this to GAN a second time. I'll let you know when I do, but I would like a second opinion on this to confirm the fact that this is not a feasible GAN. Blue Dragon and Gears of War 2

I would like to start reviewing these article for GA, but I have noticed that both articles have unreferenced storyline sections. These need to be referenced in order to pass for GA. You can use either storyline information mentioned in secondary sources, or you can cite information from the video games themselves; I prefer to use the {{cite video game}} template when citing such information.

Hopefully, I'll get started on Blue Dragon sometime this weekend and give the rest of the article a good combing through. Thank you, MuZemike 16:42, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

Hmm, sorry but I'm not sure that references in the plot section are required to pass a GAN. I don't think you would be able to fail because of that reason. I will talk to a someone experienced with this.-- Gears of War 2 (NGG) 21:39, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
Plot sections really should be source, though they can be sourced to the primary work. However, both games, you should be at least able to source the first half of both games from secondary reviews of the work. At GAN they may not balk at it but it will be important at FA. --MASEM (t) 21:58, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

Actually looks OK to me. As it's non-free, it's never going to be high-res anyway.
If, however, you want to delete it, just go to File:Madden10Nuetral.jpg, click edit, and put {{db-user}} at the top. Save it, and it'll disappear in due process.
On the other hand, if you want one of the older versions, click on 'history' and 'undo' your latest upload.

Warnings

As has been mentioned in the daymeee talk page, do note that removing warnings from your own user page is explicility not against policy even if discouraged. I know it can be annoying particularly because someone may not realise the user has been warned and so give another warning but for a variety of reasons policy is to allow people to remove them and take it as a sign they were read (which is a good thing in some ways since it means users can't claim they didn't see the warning). In particular, do not edit war over a user who's removing warnings from their user page, that's liable to get you blocked yourself before anything happens to the other user.
