Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Girls & Peace: 2nd Japan Tour, without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Column removal

[edit]

Hi, I reverted your edit to the See Also section on Fashion as with long lists of such links it looks neater to have them in short columns rather than one long column with a ton of dead space to one side. Thought I would just drop a quick note to say why I did so. Mabalu (talk) 16:44, 11 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of List of number-one hits of 1972 (Germany), and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Number-one hits of 1972 (Germany). It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 08:19, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm DAJF. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Dave Spector, but you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DAJF (talk) 10:17, 1 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Guizi may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • '''''Yang guizi''''' ({{zh|c=洋鬼子|p=yáng guǐzi|l=Western devil; overseas devil; west)ocean devil}}) - used to refer to [[Westerner]]s

Cut-and-paste move

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Number-one hits of 1972 (Germany) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into List of number-one hits of 1972 (Germany). This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut-and-paste-move repair holding pen. Thank you. Hi! I see you're the one who added the image to Ohaguro. Can you please provide a source for the "ca. 1905" estimation? There is no dating at the source site, and the only other reliable source I could find (in a language that I understand) is this article at National Geographic Russian, stating it's 1908 (as stamped on the photo itself). Unspecified source/license for File:Johann Malfatti.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Johann Malfatti.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images.
