Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

July 2022

[edit]

Hello, I'm Serge, an Admin here on Wikipedia. While I appreciate your enthusiasm for contributing to Wikipedia, as I stated in my edit summaries, per WP:V, all content must be sourced, and per WP:BURDEN, this is your responsibility to add. Saying "I own it so I know" in an edit summary generally doesn't cut it, readers and editors won't see that when reading/editing/reviewing the article.

Just Google it or something. Surely some website has mentioned this at least once in the past decade if it's true. See WP:VG/S for a list of usable and unusable sources, and WP:REFB if you need help with how to add a source. But stop adding content without a source. Thanks. Sergecross73 msg me 20:55, 24 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

One question though, I did look for sources but there weren’t any good sources, So I would like some possible recommendations. Thanks for the tips and appreciating my work including United States network television schedules. Nostalgia Zone (talk) 21:21, 24 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Did you not check WP:VG/S? There's tons of recommendations/examples there. Sergecross73 msg me 23:45, 24 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, It’s just that the main sources barely or not even mention that Luigi’s Mansion on 3DS has Circle Pad Pro support let alone a full page dedicated to that. Nostalgia Zone (talk) 23:54, 24 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You don't need a full source dedicated to it, you just need a source that directly states that Luigi's Mansion uses the Circle Pad Pro. A passing mention is fine as long as it verifies it. Sergecross73 msg me 02:46, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The CBS Late Movie ‎

[edit]

Hi, just wondering why you undid my edits on The CBS Late Movie. The "History" section contained no references, which is why I added {{unsourced|section}}, and the text I removed was not about The CBS Late Movie, but what aired later in the same time slot. This would be appropriate in an article about CBS late night programming in general, but not in this specific article. Trivialist (talk) 01:47, 12 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Fair point. Hopefully that page will be created soon. Nostalgia Zone (talk) 11:32, 12 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You can always start a draft version :) Trivialist (talk) 23:23, 12 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That’s what I just did, sure it’s quite rough to say the least and it’s under review but, at least it’s created. Nostalgia Zone (talk) 15:13, 17 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Also, a little bit of help with the process of redirecting and making the page better would be nice. Nostalgia Zone (talk) 15:18, 17 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:CBS Late Night. Thanks! Robert McClenon (talk) 02:25, 18 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It is not entirely clear to me how this differs from The CBS Late Movie. If it is accepted in its current state, it will probably be confusing to readers also. Are these two different formats for different periods of years? If so, the lede paragraphs of both this draft and the current article should clarify. Please explain. I am marking this draft as under review for about 24 hours while waiting for clarification. Robert McClenon (talk) 02:25, 18 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, List of tenants in 4 World Trade Center, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Your recent editing history at 1949–50 United States network television schedule (late night) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. * Pppery * it has begun... 00:35, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at 1949–50 United States network television schedule (late night), you may be blocked from editing. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 03:11, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I’m not necessarily vandalizing those lineups, I’m adding them because they’re are significant to the history of television. If you don’t want these lineups to exist then at least mention the shows on the primetime lineup. Nostalgia Zone (talk) 12:56, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, it was boilerplate text. It isn't vandalism exactly, but you are creating articles (from redirects) without reliable sources. I'd suggest that you work on the article in draftspace, add reliable sources, then submit it via the AFC process. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 02:45, 17 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You have been edit warring at this article, repeatedly expanding the redirect by adding content. Many other editors disagree with your addition. I have full-protected the article to stop the edit warring. Please go to Talk:1949–50 United States network television schedule (late night) and discuss. Try to obtain consensus for your addition. This is a warning: If you do not obtain consensus but resume adding the material after the full protection expires, you are likely to be blocked for edit warring. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:55, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Last warning for edit-warring on redirects

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. OhNoitsJamie Talk 00:55, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please don’t block me from editing for this but these shows kinda need representation in the form of schedules and I think a solid amount of people agree with me that these shows need to shown. At the very least they should be mentioned in the primetime schedules and you should realize that just redirecting the page to the primetime schedules well it just doesn’t make any sense. Like I said please don’t block me from editing because I said this, I just wanted to get my word out. Nostalgia Zone (talk) 01:23, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Multiple users currently oppose creating those separate pages, so you'll need to establish a consensus first to replace those pages with redirects. Or, as previously suggested, go through the WP:AFC process. OhNoitsJamie Talk 01:29, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I meant it didn’t make sense to redirect those pages to the primetime lineups when they aren’t even mentioned. Nostalgia Zone (talk) 01:32, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Nostalgia Zone. You can't quietly go back to doing the same thing that you were warned multiple times about (e.g. anchor lists) and where you agreed to not add them; and then you've gone back to adding them back, while reverting corrective edits of other editors. You cannot be taxing the time of productive editors to such an extent as seen above. I have a few questions here:
  1. Have you properly read and understood our editorial policies and guideilnes?
  2. What is the genesis of your name? Is it based on the comic book joint?
  3. What is the reason you ignored multiple warnings earlier and went back to the same disruptive editing schedule?

Your block is indefinite. Once you are ready with the answers, and once you are confident you have complete understanding of our editorial policies and guidelines, request an unblock using the procedure mentioned above and any administrator may unblock you based on their assessment, without checking back with me. Thank you, Lourdes 05:21, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

First of all, my name is not based on the comic book joint, I didn’t know it even existed. The reason why I’ve ignored those warnings was somewhat because I liked those anchor lists, but also I thought that those would help the mall articles, now I realized that I was wrong. I’m sorry for what I’ve done and I absolutely promise that I’ll never ever do it again. Heck, I’ll revert those changes and not add them to articles ever again. I’m being honest. I’d love to go back to editing and doing my thing, so I would like to be unblocked.

Decline reason:

Unless you answer all three queries completely, this isn't going to move anywhere. Leave another unblock request after you confirm you have gone through and understood all our editorial policies and guidelines perfectly well. I won't be looking at any further unblock requests. Other administrators can unblock if they deem fit without checking with me. Thanks. Lourdes 19:29, 20 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not inclined to believe you, because I told you to knock it off back in February, you said you wouldn't, and then you immediately went back to doing it again a day later. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 17:12, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Okay let me explain somethings, First I’ve promptly and properly read the Editing policy and I understand it. Second, my name is not based on the comic book joint, I had absolutely no clue that it even existed. Third and most importantly, I ignored all those warnings when it came to anchor lists on shopping mall articles and the reason why I added those (apart from the fact that I like them) was because I thought that would help the articles. If you or anyone else unbans me then I will undo my mistakes and get rid of the anchor lists that I’ve created and I’ll mostly distance myself from editing on those articles. Editing on Wikipedia is one of my favorite pastimes and I don’t want to lose the ability to edit forever. I’m sorry for what I’ve done and I really want to make it up to everyone. [P.S. if someone does unban me then Thanks so much for that!] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nostalgia Zone (talkcontribs) on 22:33, 20 July 2023 (UTC)

Decline reason:

In their responses below, they indicate that they "should’ve only undid them once". This shows that the editor does not understand how consensus is achieved if someone disagrees with their edits. (WP:BRD might be helpful with this). Also, the editor needs to give a more detailed explanation on what they should have done when they received the warnings, instead of adding the information back to the article. Please do not rush your next request, but take some time to read and understand what Wikipedia's policies say you should have done instead. Z1720 (talk) 16:02, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A word of advice... these edits imply that you expect an fast response to your unblock request. This is not guaranteed; there is a long queue of unblock requests. Yours will be evaluated whenever the volunteer admins have time to do so. Until then, please be patient and wait your turn. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 01:07, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Nostalgia Zone, if I unblock you I will not allow you to edit the articles where you caused the disruption. Are there other articles you are willing to edit? Also, can you please explain why you continued to add these lists when specifically told by two editors not to do so, and explain what you should have done instead? Z1720 (talk) 14:03, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
With the whole not editing those mall articles anymore, That’s fine. As for the “articles I’m willing to edit” that makes no sense, apart from the shopping mall articles I want to just keeping doing my thing aka Editing whatever I want. For my explanation, I continued with those because I thought those were help those articles that and I liked them. I should’ve only undid them once for the ones I did add and I should’ve not add more. Nostalgia Zone (talk) 21:14, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

For pete's sake my explanation, I continued with those because I seriously thought those were help those articles that and I liked them. I should’ve not fight against the people who undid them for the ones I did add and I should’ve not add more. What else can I say? I’ve promptly and properly read the Editing and BRD policy and I understand it. Second, my name is not based on the comic book joint, I had absolutely no clue that it even existed. I want to just keeping doing my thing aka Editing whatever I want, I don't care if I can't edit mall articles anymore, I just want to enjoy one of my pastimes.

Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficient for any reviewing administrator to take action, or you have not responded to questions raised during that time. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing hoaxes, such as List of animated feature films nominated for Golden Raspberry Awards, is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. If you would like to make test edits, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
