The article Fort Bliss shooting has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No sources indicating notability of this event. Appears to be routine gun crime. Article offers speculation rather than information.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hugh Jackman nomination for a BAFTA Award

I should comment that, when I changed 'pending' to 'nomination' for Hugh Jackman for a BAFTA Award for "Best Actor in a Leading Role" in "Les Miserables" on 10 January, 2013, I was commenting on a fact. Hugh Jackman's nomination for a BAFTA Award was announced on 9 January. Your change back to 'pending' was an incorrect move. Please check in future before you revert information. The correct information has now been entered - again - this time in the correct positions on the page and with the appropriate references (one being from the official BAFTA website). Figaro (talk) 09:50, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for your comment. Yes, it was me who changed back to 'pending'. As you say, we learn. All the best. Figaro (talk) 08:54, 14 January 2013 (UTC)

Broken City

Regarding the budget and the box office gross at Broken City (film), I think it is inaccurate to state $35,000,000. The film obviously did not cost exactly that much, so $35 million is more appropriate to state. In addition, I think it is useful to round the box office gross to the nearest hundred thousand (in this case $11.3 million) because think about it, do readers care much about the ten thousand figure or the thousand figure or beyond? I think it is better readability to state that it was x million. Please let me know what you think. Thanks, Erik (talk | contribs) 14:31, 26 January 2013 (UTC)

I've actually thought about asking WT:FILM what editors preferred because I used to just plug in the exact amount. Only in the past year or so have I started rounding up, especially because I was updating estimates at first, then I decided to round the final figures. Nobody cares about the last few digits, and I think the rounding conveys the general amount more clearly. Erik (talk | contribs) 15:26, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
I'm not sure if I understand your continued preference for exact zeroes for the budget. When a reference reports that a film cost x million, it is an approximation. For all we know, Broken City cost $35,012,456.78 to make. :) Can we at least keep using the rounded figure ($35 million)? As for the gross, I think we've been citing exact numbers because that's the way it's always been done. I think it's worth evaluating why, and I don't think the "why" holds up. It is more direct to round up because like I mentioned, the last few digits are not very relevant. I would say that exact figures are more appropriate for where box office grosses are grouped, where it can make a difference, like at List of highest-grossing films. Erik (talk | contribs) 17:51, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
I still think that writing it as "$35 million" is better. I think that when people look at $35,000,000+, they have to make a mental conversion into understanding that figure as being in millions. We can be more direct and state "x million" for them to get right away. (That logic would apply to box office grosses too; "million" replaces the extraneous digits and is more meaningful to read.) If you want, I can start a discussion at WT:FILM about it. I'm kind of curious to see what others think, though it does not have to be part of the guidelines. Erik (talk | contribs) 21:10, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
Alright, we'll do that here. Erik (talk | contribs) 11:17, 29 January 2013 (UTC)

From the looks of Olympus Has Fallen and the other Die Hard in the White House movie White House Down so far, I say Olympus Has Fallen has better potential, even though the trailer of White House Down hasn't come out yet. What do you think? BattleshipMan (talk) 01:09, 26 February 2013 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Army of Two (series) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Hello, Obi-WanKenobi-2005,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether List of awards and nominations received by Rupert Friend should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of awards and nominations received by Rupert Friend .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, Salimfadhley (talk) 00:18, 23 December 2013 (UTC)

Hello, Obi-WanKenobi-2005, and thank you for your contributions!

An article you worked on The Bourne Ascendancy, appears to be directly copied from http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/l/eric-van-lustbader/bourne-ascendancy.htm. Please take a minute to make sure that the text is freely licensed and properly attributed as a reference, otherwise the article may be deleted.

It's entirely possible that this bot made a mistake, so please feel free to remove this notice and the tag it placed on The Bourne Ascendancy if necessary. MadmanBot (talk) 07:56, 31 January 2014 (UTC)

Hello, Obi-WanKenobi-2005. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Texas Rising, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Amortias (T)(C) 00:02, 31 May 2014 (UTC)

Multiple misspelt references on Star Trek (film franchise)

Hey there!

Just to let you know that your most recent edits to Star Trek (film franchise) have involved misspelt versions of 'December' in there respective references. But please don't think that I/we don't appreciate your work... I especially do! I mean we don't come across many editors who actually edit property, never mind remember putting in a reference to cite their work!

Please carry on your good & bold edits, but bear in mind that December is spelt December and not Decemberr.

Oh, FYI, I have fixed these by the way, so don't worry about rushing to fix them — all sorted.

Many thanks! Limbsaw ~talk~ 01:22, 29 December 2014 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on File:Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation poster.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Has Fallen, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Trevor Morris. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Die Hard 2 cast section and character descriptions

Obi-WanKenobi-2005, there's a edit war issue on Die Hard 2 about the cast section and character descriptions. A lot of film articles have character descriptions which I feel are very necessary, but that version of the cast section has been switched back and reverted by TheOldJacobite and Deloop82. The cast section should be switch back to it's original version for WP:STATUSQUO reasons until the argument on the article's talk page is set. BattleshipMan (talk) 02:41, 20 July 2017 (UTC)

The article Nick Westrate has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non notable actor

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Steve Blum's filmography

I undid some of the recent edits to Steven Blum's filmography as they lacked reliable sources. Any entries there should be referenced to some source like a news article or closing credits (use cite episode). Also the role listed should be how it is displayed in the closing credits or the common name of the character so use Zeb Orrelios and not Garazeb "Zeb" Orrelios. Information icon Hello, I'm AlexTheWhovian. I noticed that you made one or more edits to an article, Star Trek: Discovery, concerning the updates of review statistics, box office numbers, sports statistics, or some other frequently updated data with a fixed web address, but you did not update the |access-date= parameter in the citation template. The |access-date= parameter is the full date when the content pointed to by the URL was last verified to be working and supporting the text being cited in the article. This means that the parameter needs to be updated whenever the content is updated. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. -- AlexTW 07:21, 25 March 2018 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Star Trek, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sean Kenney (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

We Fight to Be Free moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, We Fight to Be Free, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:We Fight to Be Free, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:42, 7 February 2020 (UTC)

The page seems fine and well sourced, it could probably just be uploaded to the site. Randy Kryn (talk) 13:15, 16 February 2020 (UTC)
Thank you. I managed to find another source and added it to the page. I hope that it works this time. Obi-WanKenobi-2005 (talk) 16:08, 16 February 2020 (UTC)
You're welcome. I've alerted the reviewer and asked them to take another look. Seems relevant to mainspace this because of the newly-broadcast Washington miniseries. Nice work. Randy Kryn (talk) 15:28, 17 February 2020 (UTC)
That's very kind of you. Thank you very much. Obi-WanKenobi-2005 (talk) 15:59, 17 February 2020 (UTC)
The submission editor seems to not be moving it, so I've also left a note on the page of the editor who initially put it in draft space. The page should probably be "See also" linked on the Washington (miniseries) page once someone mainspaces it, which is what drew me to finding it. Hopefully it will soon be an addition to mainspace. Randy Kryn (talk) 15:39, 18 February 2020 (UTC)
Ah. Thank you. Yeah, I hope that it works out. I've been trying to think of ways to make it work for a long time now. I keep trying to find more to add. I'm hoping to be able to see the short film, soon and then I can add the plot, which should help. Obi-WanKenobi-2005 (talk) 15:54, 18 February 2020 (UTC)
