Hi Saga City/Archive 2010-2011! An article you have created, edited, or contributed to, still has no refereces since being tagged in July 2009. As the article reads like an essay its lack of verifiable sources could suggest a blatant WP:COPYVIO which will result in the article being reduced to a one lone stub, or even deleted.. Hastings (name)

Hi Saga City, I noticed your change from Hastings (surname) to Hastings (name) and I have but one quibble with it. You dropped the brief name derivation paragraph at the top which, I believe, should be reinstated. In my 20 plus years of historical and genealogical research related to the name, I have yet to find an instance of use that didn't suggest a connection to the surname. For instance, in my own family, I have close cousins where this is both a surname and a middlename. Furthermore, I believe that users of this page will want and expect some sort of explanation as to how the name evolved. I think the one you removed was a bit weak but better than nothing. False positive!

Why I reverted Derry Urban Area

It has been an ongoing thing in the Derry area, and is well documented in local media that Derry dwellers "border-hop" to escape Rates (NI council tax) and avail of education etc. Some quick examples are [1], [2] and here were the person in question states "I consider Derry my local town," . Hi there. I noticed this edit which I don't understand, but I did not revert it since there might be something I'm missing so I thought I'll ask. First, {{unreferenced stub}} was merged with {{unreferenced}} per Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2010 February 5#Template:Unreferenced stub. Is there a reason to reintroduce it? Second, regarding the "auto" parameter, per documentation at {{unreferenced}} "This parameter should be removed after an editor has checked that the tag hasn't been placed in error", so why restore it? Place name disambiguation

Hello! I saw your recent move of "Alford, Aberdeenshire" to "Alford, Scotland". Whilst this is consistent with the disambiguation guideline, I have also seen other editors moving pages in the opposite direction, namely "Ellon, Scotland" to "Ellon, Aberdeenshire", "Huntly, Scotland" to "Huntly, Aberdeenshire" and "Kintore, Scotland" to "Kintore, Aberdeenshire". Although these moves go against the guideline, referring to places this way feels more natural to me. I'm worried we could end up moving things back and forth in both directions if we're not careful. This has prompted a rather longer than intended essay from me at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Scotland#Local Authority names in page titles/ URLs. I would be interested in your thoughts there. "Goosegrass"/"Goose grass"

I notice recently you've done a bit of redirecting work around the subject of "Goose grass", but I'm inclined to think that some form of disambiguation might be more helpful for encyclopedia readers, seeing as the distinction between "Goose grass" (redirected to Eleusine indica) and "Goosegrass" (redirected to Galium aparine) is so subtle that readers may end up not finding what they want (and actually the encyclopedia's listed common name for E. indica is "Indian goosegrass", with no space between "goose" and "grass" anyway). From the last couple of messages above, I get the impression that you have established, somewhere, that the large number of soft redirects you are creating to Wiktionary are acceptable under policy here. I'm tempted to take them to WP:RFD, but before I make a fool of myself — I've done so enough times already, thank you very much — I was hoping that you might enlighten me. Yes, and I don't find it there, though authority might arguably come from a link on that page to Wikipedia:Deletion_policy#Other_projects. The criteria for the existence of the soft redirect would appear to be "If an article to be deleted is likely to be re-created under the same name, it may be turned into a soft redirect to a more appropriate sister project's article. This is especially true for Wiktionary." I have some doubt just how likely it would be for articles on "foozle" and "foofaraw," or even "expediency," to be recreated if they were to be deleted here at WP. Rather than get into an article by article debate over what would be likely to be recreated and not, I'm hoping, however, that you have some better authority than that which will show my concerns to be clearly misplaced.
