Notes on your edits

[edit]

Please do not add unsourced information into articles, including through images, as you did at Rustamid dynasty. Check the article's history and its talk page discussions before you re-insert something that has already been rejected previously. There's often a reason why another map or image isn't being used.

Also, I noticed you are sometimes adding images into infoboxes at full resolution (like here). Please double-check your formatting before you click on Publish. Thanks, and happy continued editing. R Prazeres (talk) 19:02, 23 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I've also noticed you added unsourced information elsewhere and that you have been uploading images from the internet to Wiki Commons without the permission of their authors. Before you continue, please review Wikipedia's core content policies (especially Verifiability) for a better understanding of what content is acceptable on Wikipedia. For uploading images, please read the licensing policy at Wiki Commons, which explains the very specific circumstances in which you are allowed to upload images there. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask me or other experienced editors, or have a look at the many help pages linked at Help:Contents. Thanks, R Prazeres (talk) 19:50, 23 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello there R prazeres, first of all, all of the images i've added to the wikipedia pages are 100% copyright free, most of them are 500+ years old, second, for the unsourced stuff, i just forgot to add them. Seniorjackfr (talk) 19:54, 23 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
They are definitely not copyright free and definitely not 500+ years old, that doesn't even make sense with the information that you yourself provided, much less with the fact that I can see the sources for myself. Copyright is a legal issue, so make sure you understand it fully before you upload anything else to Wiki Commons. If you continue to upload non-free images, you will most likely be blocked from the site. R Prazeres (talk) 21:16, 23 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
well, if you are talking about my first image uploads (djeddars pyramids) they were just testings. Seniorjackfr (talk) 22:04, 23 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Algerian participation in the Yom Kippur War, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Algerian and AAF. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Creating articles

[edit]

Hi Seniorjackfr. This is the second time that you have created an article that is a duplicate of an existing article (Ifrenides and a previously deleted article, Kingdom of Algiers (1710-1830)). Another article you created, Algerian participation in the Yom Kippur War, does not expand on what is already covered at Yom Kippur War and thus seems rather redundant.

Before you create articles, please check carefully that the topic is not already covered by another article, including under possible alternate names or as a subsection of another article, and please also make sure it is notable enough. (See Help:Your first article for other guidelines.) If the topic is already substantially covered as part of another article (e.g. a battle discussed in an article about a larger war), please consider leaving a message on that article's talk page or open a splitting discussion (see Wikipedia:Splitting) so that other editors can advise on whether it's productive to create a separate article. R Prazeres (talk) 15:56, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, so for the ifrenides i've tried to make an article about the emirate of tlemcen, then found out that it was already covered in another article, for the kingdom of algiers, me and other algerians are trying to make an article about this autonomous kingdom.
kingdom of algiers is completly different from the regency of algiers, even the ottomans themselves considered it as a legitimate independant kingdom,
the algerian participation in the yom kippur war is an interesting subject to talk about Seniorjackfr (talk) 16:51, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The "Kingdom of Algiers" is not completely different and a previous attempt to push this POV was deleted for good reason. Please do not attempt to recreate it, or it will be deleted again. R Prazeres (talk) 20:44, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
yes it is, go study about the subject Seniorjackfr (talk) 12:48, 1 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Seniorjackfr, on Wikipedia, decisions on notability aren't based on your opinion or mine but upon community consensus. If an article has been created in the past and deleted through an AFD deletion discussion that's a good sign that it shouldn't be recreated. We even have a speedy deletion criteria, CSD G4, that is specifically for articles that have been deleted through AFD and then recreated.
If you have questions about notability, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 07:05, 9 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Condor Electronics, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Non-attributed translations

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from ig:Sofare to Sofare SPA. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution must be given retroactively, for example:

NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution.

Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit; see Repairing insufficient attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively, even if it was a long time ago.
