Happy New Year

Dear SimonKSK,
I just wanted to wish you and your family a happy new year, however you're celebrating it. Whether 2008 was a good year for you, or if it wasn't the greatest year, hopefully 2009 will be better. Cheers, and happy editing in 2009 :-),

That's good. I have renamed myself too many times now, and now I want to remain as one name and this is the one. From User:Nosaints4life to User:Truko9308 to User:Truco9311 to User:Truco-X to User:SRX, and now User:Truco--Truco 18:41, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Deadman persona

=( Come on dude! Why are you doing this to me? If I've done something to offend you, I apologize. I've spent days doing nothing else but putting info into that article and laboring over it. What you're doing hurts my feelings. I don't feel as if it is trivia but explains his deadman gimmick. Now, you're going to your wikifriends and asking them to help you out and you're going to get all that information I worked so hard on out of that article because you know they'll agree with you. If it's going to make you feel good about yourself to hurt me that bad, I mean come on. please! I wish you would have come to me about this with these concerns as I spent my days sweating and laboring over it. Cheers_Dude (talk) 20:46, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Haha! Ok! Well, I don't know. I'm just hurt that I did all that work and you completely hated on it. I mean, you spend all that time working on it and the first reaction you see from you is 'holy crap! it's a mess' and then the reversion. It brought me to tears. I don't know! If you really want it gone, you can go ahead and remove it. I mean, the point is for other people like you to like article and if they don't it's useless. I just want to retire though. Thanx for your input. Cheers_Dude (talk) 20:58, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Can we compromise on some of the information? Cheers_Dude (talk) 21:01, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

You're on your third revert so you can't revert the page anymore. I can revert it again but I'm not going to. I just want to compromise. Please SimonSKS. Compromise and don't just take the stance of removing it all. Cheers_Dude (talk) 21:03, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Thank you! Cheers_Dude (talk) 21:04, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Absolutely we can. Sure thing! :) Cheers_Dude (talk) 21:10, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Err... I'm really confused. I put my comments on the page where the Deadman information is, right? I think I put some there! Cheers_Dude (talk) 21:16, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

ohhhh! I meant to do that ;P Cheers_Dude (talk) 21:18, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Hey

So, what articles are you working on?--WillC 00:52, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

No reason, just trying to keep tabs on people. That way I know who is working on what and I don't have to do research.--WillC 00:58, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

GAN of the Undertaker

Hi. I saw that you nominated The Undertaker at WP:GAN but I don't think the article is ready. I regularly review articles there, and I would fail this one as it is currently. Here are some of the biggest issues I see:

  • Incorrect dash usage. See WP:DASH for more.
  • A lot of unsourced sentences. At least one citation needed tag.
  • Jargon like "heel", "face", "turn"...these can be replaced by words a non-fan would understand. See WP:JARGON for more.
  • A lot of the references need to be formatted with Template:cite web.
  • About half of the sources aren't considered to be reliable sources. EX: Online World of Wrestling, TV.com, Bella Online, Wrestling-titles (unless the list is sourced by the Boo by Duncan and Royal), and Wrestling Information Archive.

Nikki311 00:42, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

Agree with Nikki, its not ready yet, especially with {{fact}} tags.--Truco 01:08, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
Okay.--WillC 01:17, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
Already trying.--WillC 19:23, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
I'm happy to take the responsibility. I just need time to finish them is my only problem. Right now I'm working on No Surrender 07 since I found the event. My current format is writing all the backgrounds and aftermaths to all the TNA PPV articles. I'm at Against All Odds (2005). I'll let you know if I need some help. You could try to expand TNA Weekly PPV to a format similar to TNA Impact. That would be a big help.--WillC 19:47, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

Hey. I've removed the nomination because the article still isn't ready to be nominated. Please consider fixing the issues raised above before renomination. If you would like help in getting the article ready, I'll be glad to help you. Nikki311 03:05, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

PCA

I have to admit that I am not a huge fan of awards shows. I just thought it was surprising that the PCA (a pretty big awards show) had no articles other than the main one, so I set out to create some. TJ Spyke 02:57, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

I'm sorry, it's not going to happen. The project is filled with forum shopping teenagers who search for drama, and worry about Myspacey things like signatures, userpages, designs, and chit-chat on topics related to real life which should be talked about through e-mail. If you heard how bad the projects reputation is with other Wikipedians, you would see that it's the type of project that ruins a Wikpedian's career. It's more trouble than I need, and I'd rather work with more mature editors who do just that, edit. iMatthew // talk // 23:08, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

RE:January 2009

What the bloody hell do you wan't to get out of this!? what are you planning to gett out of ruining my spare-time, stalking me and reverting all my edits, and confronting me for everything? Listen Simon, I haven't done anything to you, and you just won't leave me alone! I'm going to piss off and smash up a wall with a sledgehammer, oh, and you started the edit war, not me fsdgsdfgr. Kalajan 20:07, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

No, you started reverting my edits though, and smashin up a wall is an expression (see here) Can you please act normally with me, I find that the website is reliable, for, what they said was true. Kalajan 20:18, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

No, did I attack you? no, and as sarcasm and rudeness is permitted, I'm not uncivil. If all WP:PW dosen't agree with me, I reach the point were I realise that noone watches wrestling. Kalajan 20:25, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

In that case, Sinofdreams was uncivil, but what the heck, report me if you care to, I could use a wikibreak. Kalajan 20:29, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Tell me. Is calling me abnormal and ignoring what I say respectfully considerate? Oh, and i do find it abnormal that you claim to have seen SmackDown! but didn't realise Jeff was attacked, and read the source and didn't realise that the unreliable source spoke the truth. Kalajan 20:36, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

I didn't call you so either, I said: so you did see SmackDown! and you didn't realise that Jeff was hit and run, THAT is what I call abnormal. Not "you did see SmackDown! and you didn't realise that Jeff was hit and run, YOU RETARD" No I did not. *smirk* Kalajan 20:52, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Friends

Hey mind I add you to me friends list? Kalajan 23:11, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Yah no wall-smashing. Kalajan 23:14, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You really need to stop reverting on the WWE roster page. Admins have that thing watched I'm sure of it. You can only revert 3 times every 24 hours, that excludes vandalism. Good faith edits don't fall under that so if I were you I would leave it alone for the next two days no matter what is placed on it.--WillC 01:12, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

That isn't per person, that is the entire day with everyone. You can have a war with SRX and do it two times, then turn around and have one with me and do it two times, you'll get blocked for it. It happened to me, though I got blocked for a move war and got warned for what I mentioned above. Dude I just don't want you to get blocked. I just looked and you are well above the limit.--WillC 01:18, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Pathetic drama

Stating that an ongoing discussion, in which one side is completely unwilling to listen, is a waste of time is neither "pathetic drama" nor an inaccurate observation. Your accusation is unwarranted and untruthful. GaryColemanFan (talk) 04:26, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

WWE Roster sources

Dude, I AM using sources from that list. It lists Wrestleview as "Marginally reliable". I didn't list Rajah at all (although I must disagree that it is an unreliable source). Otherwise, I found their official myspaces. Dahumorist (talk) 20:35, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Okay, dude, hold on and get off your high horse.

1) That link you provided to the WP:PW approved sources makes ABSOLUTELY no mention of Wrestleview being only reliable for PPV and TV. Using it as a source for 3 developmental talent signings is using it sparingly.

2) If MySpace is deemed unreliable, I would like to see a link to where that ruling was made, because they list official websites as reliable sources and a person's personal MySpace is in this day and age, the equivalent to an official website.

And 3) I was simply expressing my feelings on Rajah.com, so chill out. Dahumorist (talk) 20:46, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

The timing and name of the accounts make me suspicious. The first one was indefinitely blocked on Jan 11, and the second one was created on Jan 13. WWE Roster

I don't know about you, but I'm actually going to sit out that page for a while. I know I never really make mainspace edits but it's problematic to do so at work, so I try to mediate. Even that's out of hand. I think the people who want the project to work might need to step back from the page just to preserve sanity.  Hazardous Matt  21:26, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

If he's actually willing to listen this could be a good thing. He got way to obsessive with Steelersfan-94, including referring to him as "master". I endorsed you on his talk page.  Hazardous Matt  21:30, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

RE:

Well, I quite frankly don't know what to say, because Steelers was a great guy but I'm afraid he'll never come back, as long as you help me survive, cause there are lots of people that hate me, I don't know why, I agree, but when Steelers comes back I'm not going to know what to do. Kalajan 21:31, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Well then yes, you're a realy nice guy, yes. Kalajan 21:34, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
Simon, I beg you to not take on this adoption. There lays a problem with Kalajan's editing, and I really hope you don't take to heart this statement, but I don't feel you are the experienced editor Kalajan needs to guide him around here. You are a great editor, and I have confidence you'd be a good adopter, but I feel he would need a very experienced user to adopt and guide him. Perhaps one who has never dealt with him before, and is just meeting him for the first time. iMatthew // talk // 21:40, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
Simon, this has nothing to do with your past. Please allow an editor with no experience with him to adopt him. I don't think seeking other opinions on this is necessary at this point, but if you downright refuse, I may ask for the opinion of others. This is all to help him, and he would receive better help from somebody who doesn't know him, IMO. iMatthew // talk // 21:54, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
I'm sure other opinions may be needed. You are not the right adopter for him. You are being a good faith-ed editor by adopting him, but his adopter needs to fit his needs. iMatthew // talk // 22:14, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Simon, I hesitate to impose myself in this; as the admin who dropped the cease and desist order on Kalajan's page, I doubt he would welcome my input much. But I have to agree with IMatthew here; your first "lesson", semi-encouraging an already worked-up editor to vent on-wiki, was unwise, and could have got him blocked. Comments like that aren't acceptable, even on a user subpage. Am I correct that this would be the first person you've adopted? With all due respect, please consider that tomorrow, your first order of business should be to work with him to find someone more appropriate. There was an admin who's help Kalajan solicited when he was blocked (Nikki311). I don't want to "volunteer" other people for work, but I suggest you two consider asking her to either be a mentor, or suggest one (Kalajan seems to respect her opinion). --barneca (talk) 23:14, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

I could help. I've never adopted anyone before, but I'd be willing to try. Let me know what you think. Nikki311 01:01, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
Listen I don't want to be thrown around like a sack of potatoes, I respect all of you, and although you might think I'm problematic or something, listen I'm not, I just want to reach your level (all of yours). Kalajan 14:56, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

Hey there. I don't know if you've seen this (probably not yet) but Kalajan apparently tried to circumvent his block. From his talkpage under "KingOreo": "No yesterday I tried to see if my IP worked but it isn't; believe me; I would've created a new account and dumped this one for good." I already lectured him on Block Evasion. I was going to mention this in the WP:AN thread but I didn't want to seem like I was hunting him down.  Hazardous Matt  14:39, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Adoptee concer

Simon, I have some concerns that you may not be the best editor to adopt kalajan. This is due partially to what appears to be a lack of experience on your part as well as a lack of experience on kalajans part. Comments such as warning him that somebody is out to get him, and comments that led to his threats and personal attacks are generally not helpful. If you choose to conitnue as his adopter, I will gladly monitor things and make sure they run smoothly. Either way, I am going to be paying attention to both of you. Hope you are not offended and understand that my concerns are only trying to find what is best for the wiki and all of its editors. If you have any questions please feel free to stop by my talk page. a person can figure out the true nature of an unknown subject by observing this subject's readily identifiable traits. What does it mean? Kalajan· 17:33, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
It means that, for example a seeminlgy new editor, can be identified as a sock by the things he does. For example, if a new editor, lets call him (Editor A) starts editing all of the articles that banned (Editor B) used to edit we may be bale to infer that editor A is really Editor B. This does not always apply to editing patterns. For example, there was a sock puppet I used to fight that every time he created a new account he added the same, unique userbox. I for weeks monitored the usage of that userbox and when new ones popped up, watched that editor for the editing patterns the sock exhibited. In short is just says, read between the lines. Yah thanks both. Kalajan· 20:54, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Re: BMI

I appreciate your efforts, but that is an example of a stub, but possible a start article. From that much prose, notability is not visibly established.--TRUCO 03:24, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Oh, well you said you were done with it.--TRUCO 03:28, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
I really don't know how to look for TNA results, since I'm not a real fan of it. Check the archives at [2]--TRUCO 03:32, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

RE:

Yah thanks, I would actually appreciate one hell of help. It's too much for me and a few changes by Adster95. Kalajan· 10:07, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Hey could you give a warning to Kaizer13, for Matt told me not to myself. See here [3] It's him telling a guy not to vandalize but being uncivil himself in the act, he does it all the time -  ←Kalajan→  22:14, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Removing talk page messages

Although it's not a big deal, removing talk page messages without archiving them makes it look like you are hiding something. So in the future, it'd be best to add sections to your archives.

Also, why do you say "teh wiki"?

iMatthew // talk // 18:41, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Ok, as long as you add them to the archives. I think "teh wiki" is a very immature saying. Especially when the word "the" is spelled wrong. iMatthew // talk // 18:47, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
Not concerned, it's just annoying to read. Carry on. iMatthew // talk // 18:59, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Pics

Those pics look good! Did you take them yourself? If so, great work.... should add to the TNA articles!! :) D.M.N. (talk) 18:58, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Ah, OK. What set of tapings were they at (sorry... I don't follow TNA closely... just noticed your comment pop up on ma watchlist!) D.M.N. (talk) 19:05, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
The date on your uploads should be the date you took the image... you've labelled them as if you've took them today. Take for instance File:Beer 2009.JPG, the date field is labelled as "2009-1-24" which is wrong. D.M.N. (talk) 19:10, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
[4] You've misunderstood - that was the date the show aired, not taped. I'm going to ask this directly: Did you go to the event and physically take the picture, or did you take the picture while the show was being aired on TV? If it's the latter, I'm going to have to tag all the pictures as copyright violations. D.M.N. (talk) 19:20, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
I'd prefer an answer to the above. ^ D.M.N. (talk) 20:45, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

[5] You've done this before in the past. Please do not do that again, otherwise an admin could warn and or block you for repeated image violations. D.M.N. (talk) 20:53, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

Kaizer13

Hey could you give a warning to Kaizer13, for Matt told me not to myself. See here [6] It's him telling a guy not to vandalize but being uncivil himself in the act, he does it all the time -  ←Kalajan→  22:14, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

No I'm not stalking them, just, when there's nothing to change I look at *disruptive* editor's contribs and I saw that.  ←Kalajan→  20:44, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
Yah whatever, I need to ask you something about fair-use and all that, could you explain to me what images are legal?  ←Kalajan→  20:52, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
The truth is he didn't.  ←Kalajan→  20:58, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

RE:

Well it actually is, but we'd need a 3rd opinion. Anyway, it is, for it lead to a match at the Royal Rumble and it's gonna (I guess) be the begginig of a major storyline, it also caused conflictions with HHH, and I don't think so but many people say it's a heel turn but yes, I consider it notable.  ←Kalajan→  21:25, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

You too thought the same about Christian. Okay I'll take it there and ask you; what is a user deletion?  ←Kalajan→  21:30, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

No I won't participate but what is it for?  ←Kalajan→  21:34, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

Oh okay, I'll participate in tht in about 9-10 months, when I'm experienced enough.  ←Kalajan→  21:38, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
What happened to your talk page a few minutes ago?  ←Kalajan→  21:15, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

Beer Money, Inc.

Are you now making a page for Beer Money? Speedboy Salesman (talk) 23:01, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

OK, cool. Just asking. I think it's stupid they don't have a page, personally. Speedboy Salesman (talk) 23:03, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

MOTD interview

Good evening, Simon :) iMatthew and I would like to write a report on the MOTD project for the Wikipedia Signpost. I would greatly appreciate if you could help me in this via an interview for the report. As you a major contributor to the project you seem the ideal person to ask about this. Would you be interested at all? If so, please write back to me (or go ahead and answer the questions at User:Garden/int). Please create a new section with your username there at the bottom. Thanks in advance, Garden. 23:39, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Thanks! I'll keep you updated with new questions - there will likely be six. Garden :  Chat  20:59, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
The last questions are now up. Thanks again!  GARDEN  22:46, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

Alumni

I don't need consensus for what I am doing. The only thing different is the table formatting. What you did was reinsert unveriable, unsourced and in some of those cases, liable information back into the article. I have been working on this article for the past 2 days, adding 50 or so new references to the article. So don't dare tell me that I need consensus to following standard editing guidelines and adding cited information. — Moe ε 22:09, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

No, Alumni (70s) page was copied from the main article, as with every other decade of subpage that was created. Every subpage that was created was in violation of the GFDL license that Wikipedia runs under (hence me reverting back, not copying and pasting). Please read the talk page of the alumni article. — Moe ε 22:17, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
I commented there. Anyways, the argument of whether it should be listed alphabetically or chronologically will be moot after I am finished, the table I am implementing is sortable, so you can choose which way you want to view it by clicking the squares at the top of the table. — Moe ε 22:37, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

Hello

What Do I Need To Do To Become Am Admin, I Have Been On Wikipedia Since August 22nd Please Help Thanks Mate, Papa Johns78 (talk) 23:49, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

I'm sorry to say to say this Simon, but Papa John's edit go back to August, wasn't Sinofdreams only blocked a few days ago? Elbutler (talk) 00:04, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

Legacy

Yes you did the right thing. The general consensus right now is that the group isn't notable enough to have a article and Randy Orton is the main focus of the group, so it makes the most sense to redirect it to his article. TJ Spyke 01:07, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

Re: Laughing silently

It's not funny whatsoever. I was watching with my bro, who is the biggest Edge mark ever, so he was delighted, and I was very, very sad! I swear, if the rumours of a Matt/Jeff feud are true, they better have some damn good matches to pacify me. *Sigh* Anyway, haven't talked to you in a while, how's it going? Reverting tonnes of vandalism? ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 01:18, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

Good luck! Yea, I've got Bob Holly at GAN, so here's hoping! :P ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 02:12, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
