Speedy deletion nomination of Boston Parkrun
Hello Szzuk,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Boston Parkrun for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Don't copy and paste please
It appears that you tried to do a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. You need to remember this. It's important to never copy & paste articles. The only exception is where all the content was written by you with no other edits, and the page is in your userspace. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 19:54, 22 July 2018 (UTC)

However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 19:27, 23 July 2018 (UTC)

Hi, I did a lot of work on your article to bring it up to Wikipedia standards. Please look at the history to see my revisions. I looked at several sources and found information that either wasn't stated in the source or that was closely paraphrased. Please try to stick to the source on your next article and avoid copying from it. I also added Wikipedia links where appropriate; this gives the page more weight. Finally, I formatted the references. There's no need to use a long string as the ref name; it just clogs up the server. Three letters will do. If I can help you with anything in future, please contact me at my talk page. Shipley
Hi - thanks for the contact. My preference is to have separate articles for historic houses as they have their own identity and are linked to historical figures and events. A similar problem arises when the houses are used as schools and the history is swamped by unconnected and more transitory information. Good work on writing up country parks. I have just spent the afternoon at Swinley Forest. Regards Motmit (talk) 18:46, 15 August 2018 (UTC)

A page you started (West Park, Long Eaton) has been reviewed!
Thanks for creating West Park, Long Eaton, Szzuk!
Wikipedia editor Nick Moyes just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:
Nice one! Another location near to where I live, too. You should get rid of the DAB link to Fishpond, and I would prefer to see references entered more effectively - with titles and so forth - they are rather minimalistic at present. Why not add an External Link to West Park on Google maps - always a nice touch, I tend to think. Cheers

Erdor
Hi - would you consider reopening the AfD on Erdor? I don't believe the strength of argument establishes a consensus for Keep. WP:NEXIST concerns the actual existence of sources, not WP:MUSTBESOURCES arguments when no one is able to demonstrate the existence of sources. All !votes were WP:VAGUEWAVEs which declared sources existed but, on inquiry, were unable to actually name any of the alleged sources. I don't believe WP:NEXIST covers keeping an unsourced article for 14 years when no one is able to actually provide evidence of a single source when asked. Per WP:NRVE sources, while not needed in the article per NEXIST, still must be verifiable. Thanks. Chetsford (talk) 19:08, 24 September 2018 (UTC)
- Came to nitpick the same: WP:NEXIST would require at least demonstrating the existence of sources. They might not be in the article, but a claim with no evidence should be ignored. The AFD doesn't include a single example of a valid reliable secondary source. We have a keep for "If more sources are found", a keep for "There's sources" (none given) and a keep for "per above" (none given). There's no demonstration of sourcing, so the closest "keep" argument from this AFD is to follow BOZ's redirect suggestion.-- ferret (talk) 19:28, 24 September 2018 (UTC)
- I've relisted it. Regards. Szzuk (talk) 20:20, 24 September 2018 (UTC)

Gloucester Park, Gloucester
Thank you for creating Gloucester Park in Gloucester, I was going to create it one day but i could not find any links but looks like you found some and got around to it before me. Many thanks again D Eaketts (talk) 18:23, 27 September 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you for the comment, I've been creating a lot of park articles as you can tell from my talk page, I'm finding them easier to write and reference the more I make. I'm currently writing Victoria Park in Bideford, they have some cannons around the bandstand that I'd like to see one day. Szzuk (talk) 18:32, 27 September 2018 (UTC)
- Sounds good Szzuk, I am mostly concentrating on the history of Gloucester, more specifically the Grade I and II listed buildings and churches in and around the city and i try to the same depending on the article, The park was just a one off article to include in my list of Wikipedia articles. D Eaketts (talk) 18:44, 27 September 2018 (UTC)
- I maintain List of Parkruns in the United Kingdom, I added the South West England section today, I fill in missing parks just because I like parks, I'm a national trust member and particularly enjoyed creating Bath Skyline and Plymbridge Woods. Szzuk (talk) 18:57, 27 September 2018 (UTC)

Heads Up
I have reverted the last change on the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dekker Dreyer as the last revision was consisting of a broke template of two lines that the bot was not able to remove from AfD lists. For example it is still on Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Television and Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Actors and filmmakers because of the revision that you did despite being closed for so long now (and as you can see by checking revision history for both lists, I haven't done anything or relisted it on those pages. Jovanmilic97 (talk) 17:51, 14 October 2018 (UTC)
- Sure let's just leave it be now. Thanks for the heads up. Szzuk (talk) 18:55, 14 October 2018 (UTC)

It's basically the last two columns of list of mountains in Fujairah apart from Jebel Wamm, which is good. I also asked User:SportingFlyer... Best Alexandermcnabb (talk) 08:38, 13 October 2018 (UTC)
- It is best to wait a couple of days to see if there any other responses. If there is no policy reason they shouldn't be bulk nominated then I think it should start with 5 articles. Can you do before on them and write a nomination for that 5? I can do the back office stuff probably avoiding a wp:trainwreck and post back to you what steps you would need to take to do another 5 at a later stage, but I don't want to do all of these, it isn't really my interest. Szzuk (talk) 09:11, 13 October 2018 (UTC)
- Sure, and I appreciate the help/lack of interest in UAE mountains! And, yes, if I can get the procedure to work I'm more than happy to take it on. The template, for now, defeats me utterly... Best Alexandermcnabb (talk) 09:14, 13 October 2018 (UTC)

Hiya. Here goes!
These articles are part of a series of tens of geographical stubs (settlements as well as mountains) created some ten years ago, presumably as part of a WP page creation drive. They all fail WP:V, GNG and WP:GEOLAND. I've done BEFORE on them as well as following the markers (which all lead to random terrain, scrubland, wadi beds and, in one case, an oil terminal) and they are all simply misleading cruft that has led to thousands of pages of rubbish spawning all over the Internet and obscuring the actual, verifiable geography of the UAE.
Qur al Rikibi - pin points to non-notable area of terrain West of Dibba. Qur or khor is bay in Arabic.
Jabal Ruham - pin points to flat scrubland off Fujairah/Mleiha road
Jabal Rumh - pin points to non-notable area of hills north of village of Aqdah
Jabal Ruwaydah - pin points to wadi near village of Tawyeen. There are sources for an area called Ruwaydah on the Batinah coast of Oman. Also in Qatar! There's a single mention of a 500 metre high Jebel Ruwaydah at the head of the Wadi Sidkha (near Khatt), but that seems a little tenuous. It's certainly not at this location and arguably not notable.
Jabal Safad - Pin points to random terrain inland of Qurayyah. It's a mountain in the Druze area of Lebanon...
Jabal Satif - Pin points to non-notable side of wadi in lowland North of the E87 road.
Jabal Sha'ra - Pin points to area now in Oman (would have been UAE in 1940s/50s), but it's just random terrain anyway. It's the Biblical Mount Seir, BTW.
Jabal Shariyah - Pin points to non-notable rocky terrain south west of Masafi.
Jabal Sharmah - Pin points to area of hilly terrain west of Masafi.
With heartfelt thanks! Alexandermcnabb (talk) 04:44, 15 October 2018 (UTC)
- OK i got some of them on. Can you check for errors? Please don't add those I missed though because it'll just cause problems, there is no particular reason I left them off other than there's always another day for them! Szzuk (talk) 08:38, 16 October 2018 (UTC)

Notice
Hi! I noticed you closed Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Experimental hip hop as no consensus. Shouldn't this have been treated as WP:NOQUORUM soft delete per lack of no votes and no opposion to the nominator which counts as a delete vote (and it even has sock puppets voting) with WP:REFUND as was practiced by admins on AfD? Maybe, it should be reverted for admin to decide? Thanks, Jovanmilic97 (talk) 20:50, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
- I closed it on bullet point 2 from noquorom - closing as "no consensus" with no prejudice against speedy renomination (NPASR). It looks fine to me. Szzuk (talk) 21:11, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
- The bullet point you used that is from this If the nomination has received very few or no comments but appears controversial to the closing administrator. You think it is controversial? If it is not controversial then it is If a nomination has received few or no comments from any editor with no one opposing deletion, and the article hasn't been declined for proposed deletion in the past, the closing administrator should treat the XfD nomination as an expired PROD. Generally, this will result in soft deletion.
- Yes, because of the sock activity. Szzuk (talk) 21:30, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
- Fair enough then. I may not agree (since the sock vote is negated and should be acted like it never existed), but I understand the argument. Thanks for the explanation. And don't worry, I will not take this to Deletion review or anything. Just wanted to discuss, if you got offended or something, I am sorry. Regards, Jovanmilic97 (talk) 21:33, 21 November 2018 (UTC)

Apparently, you do not practice writing in English grammar, as your sentences are often connected by commas. It's easy to appreciate your dedication toward improving the article, but editors are expected to compose English correctly, so please try to apply the rules of grammar. Zefr (talk) 15:54, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Zefr, I was adding information in good faith, that is sourced, maybe it needs a little copy editing, do you disagree with the factual accuracy? The FAR said the section needs filling, so that is what I am doing. I'm happy for you or someone else to copyedit the information for flow as you've done previously and then it'll look fine. This is a collaboration no? Szzuk (talk) 16:01, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
- Anyone can see your edits are in good faith to improve the article to FA quality. I'm just struck that you apparently don't know how to write a correctly formatted sentence. --Zefr (talk) 16:05, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
- I probably don't use enough full stops, for what it is worth i'm a native English speaker! I suppose in the past I've had people want a reference or cite for every sentence so I spread the sentences out with commas to avoid having repetitive refs/cites. Szzuk (talk) 16:11, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
- Substituting commas for a full stop when a sentence ends is not a rule of English grammar! Think of a child WP user reading an FA article, and seeing grammar rules broken like that. Just use the repeat ref format, WP:REFNAME. --Zefr (talk) 16:16, 15 December 2018 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Heinz Guderian, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Panzer Leader (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

While you can certainly make the case that Schmidt meets WP:NACADEMIC criterion #1, based on the sources available it may be more appropriate to have an article about Albert Speer: The End of a Myth and redirect Schmidt to that article.

Suparatana Bencharongkul AfD closure
Hi. It might have been best if Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Suparatana Bencharongkul was closed by an admin, since it was mentioned during the discussion the the article should be checked for similarities to past deleted versions. --Paul_012 (talk) 04:37, 9 July 2019 (UTC)
- I read your comment. Even if the article was similar to a deleted version no admin would or should over rule the consensus of that AfD. The outcome of an AfD over rules prior deletions so no admin will even check. Szzuk (talk) 06:04, 9 July 2019 (UTC)

Halder
@K.e.coffman:. I've started editing Halder, I will see what else I can find. Szzuk (talk) 21:01, 4 July 2019 (UTC)
- I'm more or less done with Halder. It is just too far from GA for it to be worth taking there or much further. I have a copy of The Myth now, so I'm going to have a read through. Szzuk (talk) 17:36, 7 July 2019 (UTC)
- @K.e.coffman: I'm struggling to find a source for his life before WWII. Can you recommend anything? Szzuk (talk) 11:12, 17 July 2019 (UTC)
- I added material from the German biographical dictionary available online: Franz Halder. --K.e.coffman (talk) 00:59, 18 July 2019 (UTC)
- I will re-add The Myth. It just didn't fit properly at the time of writing. Szzuk (talk) 04:55, 18 July 2019 (UTC)
- I see you have sent it to the Guild of Copy Editors to pick up grammar and punctuation errors. It is probably close to GA standard now, send as and when. Szzuk (talk) 10:14, 18 July 2019 (UTC)

@K.e.coffman: I'm going to do a copy and paste from the myth section here to the main article Myth of the clean Wehrmacht. Wikipedia requires attribution even from other Wikipedia articles. After I've done the copy paste I will note on the talk page I wrote the material in question and have access to all of the sources I have used. As you also wrote some of the material I would need you to formally say there that you wrote the other material. I presume that is OK but I will hold off until there is a reply. Szzuk (talk) 06:47, 22 July 2019 (UTC)
- You generally don't need anyone's permission (i.e. mine) to copy text between articles. Also, a simple edit summary is generally sufficient. I use: "Material copied from XYZ page - please see article history for attribution". See for example edit summary from the initial creation of the Barbara Engelking article. --K.e.coffman (talk) 01:58, 23 July 2019 (UTC)
- Hi. For the reasons explained in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia#Proper attribution, leaving a {{copied}} note on the talk page of the article copied from is good practice. (Personally I also use one on the talk page of the article copied to.) Cheers. Gog the Mild (talk) 21:15, 31 July 2019 (UTC)
Good article?
Hi @Szzuk: do you think the page can make good article status I was going to recommended it to be? and would the category be world history? Jack90s15 (talk) 15:54, 6 August 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Russia: War, Peace and Diplomacy
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Russia: War, Peace and Diplomacy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://soldierexecutionerprolifer2008.blogspot.com/2015/03/war-crimes-of-wehrmacht.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - Sorry, you can ignore this. I missed that the blog originally copied the content from the same Wikipedia article you spun this out from. Mcampany (talk) 20:48, 21 August 2019 (UTC)

County abbreviations
Hi there, sorry to bother you. In regards to the country abbreviations, I have done Derbyshire to Derb (maybe Derbs is better, thoughts?). East Midlands, East of England and Greater London look fine, but I'm not sure how to approach North East? Tyne and Wear is a little confusing and so is County Durham. Any thoughts on these? North West is a little confusing as well, Lancashire to Lancs, Cheshire can stay the same, Greater Manchester? It could be worth doing everything in its full name for consistency throughout the article. This can be easily done with WP:AWB, so any thoughts on that? If you think it should be, its probably best to ask for consensus and thoughts from others. Sorry for the confusion and all the questions. Willbb234Talk (please {{ping}} me in replies) 21:18, 30 August 2019 (UTC)
- Your edits were fine, I did look up usual abbreviations some months ago, although I've forgotten now! I think Derbyshire is Derbs, Lancashire is Lancs, Greater Manchester is sometimes Gtr Manchester, County Durham sometimes just gets shortened confusingly to Durham. Tyne and Wear I don't really know. I have never used AWB, I will see if I can install it. Regards Szzuk (talk) 21:27, 30 August 2019 (UTC)
- Cool, I use WP:JWB. Works fine and easier to install. Willbb234Talk (please {{ping}} me in replies) 22:01, 30 August 2019 (UTC)
