I have nominated Modding Monthly, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Modding Monthly. The Booth At The End[edit]

Copyright-problem.svg

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of The Booth At The End, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.contentfilm.com/index.php/film_tv/all_film_tv/1219.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 03:28, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

Copyright problems with "Shorts In The City"[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

Hello. Concerning your contribution, "Shorts In The City", please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.citytv.com/toronto/show/basic/76777--shorts-in-the-city. As a copyright violation, "Shorts In The City" appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. "Shorts In The City" has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. VernoWhitney (talk) 12:35, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

  • Please do not copy material into Wikipedia. Below every edit screen it says "Content that violates any copyrights will be deleted." Minor changes of wording are not sufficient - see WP:Copy-paste. Even if you own the copyright, it is essential to follow the steps explained in Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. In any case, Wikipedia is not a notice-board onto which to pin material written for another purpose: it is likely to have a promotional tone unsuitable for an encyclopedia article, which requires a neutral point of view. There is good advice on writing acceptable articles at Wikipedia:Your first article. JohnCD (talk) 13:18, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

2011[edit]

Final Warning[edit]

I have just deleted Echo Bazaar, which I see is far from the first article you've created that someone else has had to spend time removing. Stop, and carefully read the notability criteria and the reliable source guidelines. Do not add anything more to Wikipedia until you understand those rules. While we appreciate helpful contributions, people who make unhelpful contributions and cannot correct themselves are blocked from editing. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 15:34, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

Concerning Echo Bazaar, the fact that it won the Escapist Magazine's award for best browser game in 2009 [1], and has been reviewed in The New Yorker, probably means that it is notable, but those references have to be properly added to the article. At the moment I don't have the time to write a proper article about the game, but will try to do so in the weekend - if I can find sufficient references. If the references can't be found, it doesn't matter how great the game is (personally I adore it, it's absolutely brilliant), it still can't have an article if notability can't be verified. Hope this makes sense. --bonadea contributions talk 15:43, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Deborah Skinner Buzan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Cut-and-paste move[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Our Home a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. -- 65.94.76.126 (talk) 04:00, 25 May 2013 (UTC)

Your contributed article, Our Home (book)[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Our Home (book). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Nosso Lar. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Nosso Lar – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. 65.94.76.126 (talk) 04:08, 25 May 2013 (UTC)

Émilie Barthe article[edit]

Hi, Tradereddy. I just came across the Émilie Barthe article you created while looking at new articles. There does seem to be a few problems here regarding the intro, where it says that she was a judge and member of parliament, which doesn't seem to be the case. (The first woman Canadian MP was Agnes Macphail who was elected in 1921 and was the only woman in the house until 1935.) I do think that she is notable of course - the Dictionary of Canadian Biography, entry would be enough for me, but there are issues with the article as it stands. Correction[edit]

Those 19th-century photos you uploaded to Commons – they're very good, but when the form asks for the date, you're supposed to put the date that the photograph was taken, not the date it was uploaded. If the precise date isn't known, you can put the parameters indicating our best guess (for instance, I labeled the photo of Marguerite Vincent Lawinonkié as "no later than 1865"), or the decade, or even the century. At worst, you can put "unknown". DS (talk) 14:45, 30 October 2013 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open![edit]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Women in Classical Athens Peer Review[edit]

You probably don't remember, but you gave me my first ever barnstar more than a year ago for my work on Women in Classical Athens. I got it through GAN recently, and am aiming to get it to FAC, so thanks for the early encouragement! The reason I bring it up now is that I have just submitted it for peer review here. It'd be great if you could drop by and give it a look. Caeciliusinhorto (talk) 21:03, 27 April 2016 (UTC)

I do remember. Indeed, I still keep a close eye to the evolution of that page and the edits you have made on closely related articles. I am not much for doing anything on Wikipedia aside from editting; your first ever barnstar had been the first I had given and remains the only one I have given. With this as case, I will try to lend some of my time to get the article approved. Thank you once again for all your efforts.

Seven sages[edit]

Hello User:Tradereddy, I saw your revert of my edit here. I will not contest it. You are right in this matter and I was a bit too quick on my feet. The point is that I'm somewhat worried about the edit behavior of the user who introduced that link, User:203.188.231.225, who has the long standing habit of inserting WP:POV statements in sourced text, that are not actually supported by the sources given. So there is a history of problematic behavior there. Thank you for seeing beyond that however. Gerard von Hebel (talk) 19:18, 30 June 2016 (UTC)

I really appreciate you coming and posting this paragraph. I looked into the history of the editor after you removed the link as I had suspected some sort of misconduct could be present. I made similar observations regarding the user's editing behaviour, yet, the aforemention edit seemed harmless. Thank you for not contesting the edit and reaching out to me.
