Opting in to VisualEditor[edit]

As you may know, VisualEditor ("Edit beta") is currently available on the English Wikipedia only for registered editors who choose to enable it. Since you have made 100 or more edits with VisualEditor this year, I want to make sure that you know that you can enable VisualEditor (if you haven't already done so) by going to your preferences and choosing the item, "MediaWiki:Visualeditor-preference-enable". This will give you the option of using VisualEditor on articles and userpages when you want to, and give you the opportunity to spot changes in the interface and suggest improvements. We value your feedback, whether positive or negative, about using VisualEditor, at Wikipedia:VisualEditor/Feedback. Thank you, Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 18:26, 11 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker) I know I shouldn't write here. Still as a talk page stalker I can help you in mails. The most possible reason is you've not listed your email address in your preferences. There's a line your preference

"Email (optional)* xxxxxxx@yyyyyy.com (Change email address) "

If your e-mail address is listed then it'll show an e-mail address and after clicking at Special:ConfirmEmail you'll see Your email address was confirmed on .... This will work. Follow the steps. Go to your preference --> Then check your e-mail address --> Visit Special:ConfirmEmail. Now if your e-mail is not listed then there'll be a button at the bottom of the notice telling Send a confirmation code (something like this. I can't clearly remember) in Special:ConfirmEmail. Click that button. It'll mail you a link in your mail. Click that link and your e-mail will be confirmed. Then just check Enable email from other users this box in your preference. After then you'll able to send e-mail to other users. Ask me if you need more help @KhUzAima Rahman: --Pratyya (Hello!) 03:30, 28 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

PS:About that userpage ask Sajjad. As you wanna make your userpage like his one, he'll be able to guide you much better than me. --Pratyya (Hello!) 03:30, 28 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for December 28[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Kites Grounded, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Punjabi (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Your GA nomination of Waar[edit]

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Waar you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Royroydeb -- Royroydeb (talk) 13:31, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Bushra Ansari (Pakistan Idol).jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. --Geniac (talk) 20:46, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Same applies to File:Hadiqa Kiani (Pakistan Idol).jpg and File:Ali Azmat (Pakistan Idol).jpg --Geniac (talk) 20:52, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

What is going on here? I was about to confess my edits by replying User:Doc James and he just banned me for 1 month? You should have removed the content that is copied but not the whole section, I was about to confess that few words might be same of website but I'll paraphrase and re-publish the content. Please give me a chance to fix this. Thank you! Umais Bin Sajjad (talk) 03:28, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You are able to make a paid editing disclosure on this page. This still does not address the copyright issues. SQLQuery me! 04:41, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

We need to discuss the ongoing copyright issues and you need to disclose your associations with the topics you write about.
Copying parts of someone's CV into Wikipedia is not appropriate as it is promotional. You were already informed about the need to disclose by User:JamesBWatson above. Best Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 03:29, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Respected admin @Doc James: I have no COI for this page, I just wanted to expand the page. If it violated Wikipedia terms I'm sorry for that, I will paraphrase my writing from now on. Please give me a chance to disclose my all COI edits. Umais Bin Sajjad (talk) 03:35, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You can disclose all your COIs right here on this page. And are you going to withdraw your claim that you have no COI on some obscure Canadian clergymen were you copied back in their CV. And were someone had previously tried to copy in their CV? Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 04:17, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Doc James: I have disclosed all my contributions that are paid. I have no COI for any other (Canadian) pages. Please give me a chance. Umais Bin Sajjad (talk) 05:04, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It is not just Canadian COIs that need to be disclosed. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 05:05, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Then there is nothing else to disclose. Umais Bin Sajjad (talk) 05:08, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Canada again but a long way from Saskatoon

You state all these images are your own. That means that you were supposedly in Zurich Switzerland the same day that you were in Bangalore. That you had ringside seats at a wrestling tournament in California and were than in Saskatoon Saskatchewan a few days later. And were in Seattle a few months before that as well as the 58th Grammy's. And you made it to Dubai aswell with more front row seats. These images are taken with different camera's using very different techniques. Some are of very professional quality. Others much less so.

The much much more likely explanation; however, is that you are paid to write each of these articles. The firm paying you sends you the photos to upload. Proper copyright release is never made. And thus we are left with a massive copyright and promotional issue to clean up after. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 04:14, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Admin I said please give me a chance to disclose all my edits. I didn't say I was here and there to take these photos. Yes these are paid uploads and I want to make paid contribution disclosure. Umais Bin Sajjad (talk) 04:18, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That is strange because you have copied this draft [1] that was declined of User:Jacobkoshy333 into main space here. You did not attribute were you copied it from.
Also you still have not clarified who paid you for each of those articles. Was it the subject directly or an intermediary? Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 06:11, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't checked draft history for his name, he don't have same name on Fiverr. I want to disclose properly by making a list of paid edits, to include date, edit, client name etc. Please lift the ban to let me do it. I want to start over as a paid editor. I should've disclosed earlier so this won't have happened.

Can a non-admin user unlock a protected wiki page, if not then you should trust me and open this case. Umais Bin Sajjad (talk) 12:27, 13 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Doc James: let me expand my deal, I will give you every paid editor's profile working on Fiverr. How about that? Umais Bin Sajjad (talk) 08:07, 15 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Doc James: sorry to keep pinging. Please atleast tell me if there's a way to reduce my ban. I want to make edits as a registered user not IP. Please help! Umais Bin Sajjad (talk) 05:52, 25 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. I guess the issue is that you continue to sell Wikipedia editing even well being banned. This means that you are using socks to continue to edit. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 15:27, 25 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Umais Bin Sajjad (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Hi admin! I admit that I was involved in paid editing. I did not disclose my edits before I was blocked which resulted into a severe scinerio case for me. I disclosed my paid edits to an admin here after the block. Myself being unethical, irresponsible (for not reading and understanding WP:PAID and WP:COI), I faced the punishment of not making edits for approx. 8 months. I request you to unblock my account, so that I can continue my good faith edits and creating new pages that meets Wikipedia's criteria. Here is the list of my past work. Thank you!

Decline reason:

See below. I see very little good faith here. Huon (talk) 18:12, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

What about your copyright issues? Do you think you can edit articles in a neutral manner and avoid those with which you have a COI?
How do you address this quote from the UTRS?
"Doc James can't catch my latest sockpuppets.
I want GorillaWarfare to convert to Islam. Tell her that tongue piercing is anti-Islamic.
I will also convert Keilana, Emily-Temple Wood to Islam.
Then both will be my wife."
-- John Reaves 17:24, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@John Reaves: I assure you that I will not edit articles that involves COI. And I'm aware of the fact that, it will lead me to permanent indefinite period ban. I am not sure about the quote you mentioned above. Can you please elaborate? Thank you! Umais Bin Sajjad (talk) 17:26, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Allow me to also comment. That was put directly in your unblock request to UTRS in October 2016. That's to be blunt behavior that's not tolerated on Wikipedia. John Reaves as already commented, but seeing this unblock request I would be hesitant to approve an unblock. RickinBaltimore (talk) 17:42, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
At the very least we'd need a list of all your sockpuppets. To me it seems we likely could catch them, prompting this unblock request. Huon (talk) 18:12, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Respected admin @John Reaves:, I know its too late to respond and defend myself now, but I just came to know that UTRS is a thing. I only used my talk page to request unblocks. I firmly believe, the hatred comments you mentioned above were not made by me. I've made alot of mistakes in the past and I regret doing so because that ended up ruining my constructive edits and career here. I got punished as I kept myself away from site for almost 2 years. Now I believe that after a 'sentence' of long 2 years, I should be given a chance to join Wikipedia back as a positive and neutral editor making it a better place for readers to come. So sorry. I cannot unblock you at this time. Please explain more fully how you will 1) avoid copyright issues, 2) avoid WP:COI problems, and 3) what sort of constructive edits you would make. Request reason:

I started on Wikipedia as WP:NEUTRALEDITOR and made alot of constructive edits. But when I got involved in WP:PAID, I did not disclose my edits. This was my first big mistake. To hide my WP:COI from the neutral Wikipedia community, I made another mistake that is WP:SOCK despite knowing, it will end up getting me banned at some point. I understand, Wikipedia policies are made to keep community clean from vandalism, disruptive edits and to keep content neutral. My ban was very well deserved. Now I assure you that the mistakes I made were things of the past and will never ever happen again. I want to get unblocked so I could keep contributing to WP:PAK, specifically WP:PAKFILMS keeping WP:NPOV in mind. As far as WP:SOCK is concerned, I will not be using any VPN/third party service but only my home IP. Kindly consider my unblock request and give me another chance to be the part of volunteers working under WP:5P. Umais Bin Sajjad (talk) 06:03, 17 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You don't discuss your copyright violations. As copyright violations can put Wikipedia in legal jeopardy, we must be assured that you understand WP:COPYRIGHT and WP:COPYVIO. Please briefly explain what copyright is and what sorts of content is acceptable here in terms of copyright. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 07:13, 17 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@331dot: Kindly check my edit history, I'm not indulged in any WP:COPYVIO intentionally. The policy I've violated in the past is already mentioned above i.e WP:COI. Request reason:

Hi Wikipedia Admin, I am writing to appeal the indefinite block on my Wikipedia account, which was issued due to my failure to disclose conflicts of interest and my use of sockpuppet accounts. I understand that these actions violated Wikipedia's policies and I take full responsibility for them. I want to emphasize that I have learned from my mistakes and I am committed to upholding Wikipedia's policies, including its copyright policies. I have carefully read through the links provided in my previous decline reason and I now have a deep understanding of what is considered acceptable content in terms of copyright. To show my commitment, I would like to provide some specific examples of how I plan to avoid any future violations of Wikipedia's copyright policies. First, I will only use reliable sources for any information I include in my edits. Second, I will seek permission for any material that is not in the public domain. Third, I will ensure that any images or media I use are either my own creations or properly licensed. Regarding my previous use of sockpuppet accounts, I want to make it clear that I now understand the seriousness of this violation and I will not engage in this behavior again. I will only use my home IP address for my edits, and I will fully disclose any conflicts of interest that may arise. I hope that you can see from this appeal that I am truly committed to contributing constructively to Wikipedia and upholding its policies. I ask that you kindly reconsider my indefinite block and grant me another chance to make valuable contributions to the Wikipedia community. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Umais Bin Sajjad

Accept reason:

Checkuser data shows no evidence of recent block evasion. I leave the review to someone else. --Yamla (talk) 13:20, 25 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Doc James: Do you object to unblocking? Vanjagenije (talk) 23:41, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    • There should be no paid editing disclosed or undisclosed going forwards. I have not the bandwidth to check their prior advertisements to see if they are still up. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 04:46, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Umais Bin Sajjad: What about your WP:COI/WP:PAID editing? Can you tell few words about that? Vanjagenije (talk) 08:09, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Vanjagenije: I understand and agree with Doc James' concerns about paid editing and I assure you that I have no plans to engage in any paid editing in the future, disclosed or undisclosed. I understand that such activity is not permitted and I fully support the community's efforts to keep the site neutral and free from conflicts of interest.
Regarding my previous COI and paid editing, I want to be completely transparent and acknowledge that I made mistakes in the past. I should have disclosed my COI and paid editing activities and I apologize for not doing so. I have since learned from my mistakes and I am committed to following all of Wikipedia's policies, including those related to COI and paid editing.
In light of my past mistakes, I understand that it may be difficult for you to trust me completely. However, I hope that you can see from my previous appeal and this response that I am sincere in my desire to contribute constructively and to comply with its policies moving forward.
Thank you for taking the time to review my appeal. Umais Bin Sajjad (talk) 20:36, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Evo Japan 2023 moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Evo Japan 2023, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 12:11, 16 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
