Huzurabad is a town in Karimnagar district of the Indian state of Telangana. It is the newly formed Municipal corporation in the district.[3]

Geography

Huzurabad is located at 18°12′N 79°25′E / 18.20°N 79.42°E / 18.20; 79.42.[4] It has an average elevation of 271 metres (889 ft).[1]

Demographics

As of 2011 census, Huzurabad had a population of 37,665. The total population constitute, 19,208 males and 18,457 females —a sex ratio of 961 females per 1000 males. 3,140 children are in the age group of 0–6 years. The average literacy rate stands at 75.72% with 26,141 literates.[2]

Civic administration

Huzurabad Nagar Panchayat is the civic administrative body of the town.[3] It has a total of 20 wards.[5]

Transport

Huzurabad is well connected by road. State run TSRTC buses operates from Huzurabad bus depot to various parts of the state.[6]
