Can active project members participate in a survey on Talk:Ana Ivanović. There's an active survey to change the article name from Ivanović to Ivanovic, so if you can tell us your views on that.--Göran S (talk) 22:07, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

page layout

I'm going to flatten the project pages unless there any objections. Some places it's unnecessary and it makes it harder to track changes. // Laughing Man 04:27, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I will begin since there are no objections :) // Laughing Man 20:56, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Misc questions

First, is there any sort of talk page template for the project?

Second, I've been trying to clean up and add what I can to Golubac fortress, but I'm a bit stuck now. I've posted the major questions on the talk page, and am hoping posting here will get it seen and/or find someone who doesn't mind doing some translation from Serbian pages, since I can't do that myself and they seem to be a lot longer than the English and German pages I've found. -Bbik 17:53, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There isn't a talk page template, but it's something I think we should create, and have my todo list, just been a little to busy recently, and it certainly will give more exposure to Wikiproject and I think it needs it.
For translation, hopefully you will get a response shortly as I have asked a Serbian translator who is a member of this Wikiproject to see if he can assist. // Laughing Man 03:29, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! That's a handy link, too. And since I didn't want to post external links on the page when I couldn't confirm what they said, the two I found that look to have significantly more information are the Serbian version and this one which I can at least see has dates, though I can't get much farther than that. And sorry for the nuisance extra post if you meant I'd hopefully get a response on my talk page, rather than here. Still trying to figure out how all this works. :) -Bbik 05:22, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Is everything going ok with this Bbik, or do you still need some translation assistance? // Laughing Man 21:40, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's all set, the second person you asked is working on it. And now that I know the translator list exists, I can poke people myself if I need more help. But thanks for checking! -Bbik 03:01, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Good to hear :) // Laughing Man 03:08, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Project tag on talk page

Why this Project does not have a template? It does not necessary associate to Assessment. e.g. Template:WPBrazil, Template:WikiProject France. Matthew_hk tc 06:28, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What? Of course it does ;-) WikiProject Serbia Thanks for the reminder :-) Хајдук Еру (Talk || Cont) 07:12, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

company logos

If anyone is looking for quality images for Serbian companies to use in articles, I just found this site, it might be useful: [1] // Laughing Man 20:28, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I knew about the site, but am unsure about copyright status of the logos. Will have to sort it out once. Nikola 14:00, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Serbia topics

I propose that Template:Serbia topics is redone in this way: if an argument is added to it, for example, politics, it will show that topic expanded, and only titles of other topics. If there are no arguments, it will show more or less what it does today. What do you think? Nikola 14:00, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good, but would it be difficult to implement? // laughing man 23:49, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Not too difficult. Nikola 11:14, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I did it! How do you like it? Nikola 08:24, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's a heck of a lot more compact, I like it! Though, would it take much work to add the show/hide links so it's still possible to expand the other topics? There've been enough times where I've navigated pages that way, so not having it would be a nuisance, but minor enough to be ignored it it'd take too much work. -Bbik 09:05, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps it could be done later. Nikola 09:13, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have a question. Why only Serbia uses different type of template? Why don't we have templates wiki wiki standards? --Göran Smith 13:54, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
And what are these wiki standards? Nikola 09:59, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
See Template:Politics of Germany, Template:Politics of Japan, Template:Politics of Croatia, Template:Politics of Hungary, Template:Politics of Slovenia, Template:Politics of Italy, ... and Template:Germany topics, Template:Japan topics. Some of these countries are FA, so there are a good example of FA articles. --Göran Smith 10:10, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merger

I propose that this project merge with Wikipedia:WikiProject Republika Srpska. I really don't see the need for two such similar projects. John Carter 19:23, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It seems that project was just a test by a new user. Also, it seems there is nothing to merge. I would simply bring this to MfD to have it deleted. // laughing man 23:56, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Actually that's probably an even better idea. Does that mean if someone searches for Wikipedia:WikiProject Republika Srpska they will get redirected to Wikipedia:WikiProject Serbia? Batobatobato
No, a redirect would be needed for that.
At the risk of opening a can of worms, perhaps we could say that this project will also cover RS until a specific project is devoted to it? Nikola 11:14, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I am not a member of this project, but I am looking for help from Serbian Wikipedians. In short, this article, Barakovo, is about a village that may or may not exist. I can find no evidence for it, and neither can some other editors, and it is now up at AfD as a hoax. I looking for anyone who would be able to check detailed maps of the area, and tell us whether this village does actually exist, and possibly even rewrite and source the article. Thanks a lot. J Milburn 19:41, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It might be an enclave, but I couldn't find it on a road map. --Krytan 20:07, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dika Djordjevic

Hello. I've placed a prod tag on Dika Djordjevic because I have no indication whatsoever that this content is actually genuine. Of course, you guys will probably know for sure so I'd appreciate it if you could take a look at it and possibly remove the prod tag and reference the article properly if Dika Djordjevic is indeed a famous Serbian singer. Thanks, Pascal.Tesson 02:18, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This does seem like it might be a hoax, I did some googling and did not come up with anything for the article name, and even "Dika Đorđević" returns nothing. // laughing man 03:06, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Should the featured person section be merged with featured biography? What do you guys think? I want to make room for "News and events" :)--Krytan 17:25, 8 April 2007 (UTC) Also, how should each of the featured items rotate? On a monthly basis? --Krytan 17:36, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bilateral relations discussion

I would like to invite you all to participate in a discussion at this thread regarding bilateral relations between two countries. All articles related to foreign relations between countries are now under the scope of WikiProject Foreign relations, a newly created project. We hope that the discussion will result in a more clean and organized way of explaining such relationships. Thank you. Ed ¿Cómo estás? 18:47, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Shorten the list

This list is getting a little long for recent articles... Perhaps it could be shortened? --Krytan 18:32, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, we should come up with a way update this list. Maybe start organizing list by month article was created, then easier for someone to just chop off sections? (moving to main talk page, hope you don't mind). // laughing man 19:38, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, that would work. Thanks for moving it by the way, it would get more attention on the main talk page. --Krytan 21:49, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Здравствуйте! Today I've looked at this article and was kind of shocked. It currently seems very biased against Serbians and also it lacks ANY references. I've put fact tags in the suspicious places but I can't do much else. Check that article if you are interested. Alaexis 18:16, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I added rules for Serbia for AlexNewArtBot. It should find new Serbia-related articles and report on User:AlexNewArtBot/SerbiaSearchResult. Nikola 19:35, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Does anyone know how to make it work? Right now, it seems to just stick the full banner in the overarching nesting box, but doesn't get minimized like others I've seen. -Bbik 21:00, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can you give an example (maybe in a 'sandbox' page)? Are you refering to the talk page banner, if so it was taken from WikiProject France so we can check in there to see if they have made some recent updates. // laughing man 14:41, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I hadn't saved it before beacuse it looked funny, but Talk:Crusade of Varna, for one. If we/WPFrance can't figure out how to make it work, easy enough to get rid of the nesting again, and if we can then it doesn't need to be added later. (Bulgaria's doing the same thing, I left a note there, too.) -Bbik 15:10, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Heh, nevermind, I think I got it. Always helps when you bother to have such brilliant ideas as comparing the ones that do work with the ones that don't. Someone yell at me if I messed it up somewhere else and didn't notice. -Bbik 15:30, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

More code questions

I just noticed that Skopje had a handmade (older) version of the template Historical capitals of Serbia, rather than a transclusion, but in the process, the COA and flag were added to the header. I tried just adding the images into the template code, but instead of making the header taller, it causes the COA to overlap with the body text. Capitals of Bulgaria also has the COA and flag, but it has completely different coding, so I can't just copy its format this time. Is there any way to add the two images to the code as it is now, or does it need to be completely changed to allow for that? -Bbik 05:26, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Need help determining nationality of a chess player

WP:CHESS needs some assistance to correctly categorize some chess player biographies from the former Yugoslavia. One bio in question is Dragoljub Minić (1937–2005). Our page currently says he was a Croat, but an anon commented that he was a Serb, and his places of birth (Titograd) and death (Novi Sad) suggest that Serb is correct. Can anyone here help? Quale 03:43, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I tried looking this up, but didn't find much. I agree with your rationale based on his places of birth and death, it is questionable. I would say that he was a Yugoslav since that is what the sources state, unless there is a source that states otherwise. Perhaps someone from the Chess WikiProject has access to the books referenced in the article? Maybe something definitive can be found there? // laughing man 14:27, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Boris Tadic

I'm currently working on improving the article on Boris Tadic, President of Serbia. His grandparents were killed by the Ustase, is it acceptable to refer to the events at Jasenovac as genocide?

Project banner

I have updated the banner to include options for the Belgrade group as well, I think. I basically copied the provisions from the Template:ChristianityWikiProject and substituted in the right names. I hope it works. John Carter 18:29, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Does there need to be/Should there be the Belgrade workgroup when there's also the full Belgrade WikiProject with the separate banner?
Also, something with that part of the template seems slightly off -- the WPSerbia banner seems to add a non-existent template to all pages it's transcluded on (in the list at the bottom when you edit a page), and because the template doesn't exist, either, if the workgroup switch were to be used, it would also add a red link to the template page in the banner, rather than transcluding whatever it's supposed to display. Can that be fixed somehow? Is there a way to make that template appear in the list only when the workgroup bit is turned on, too? Or will it always show up no matter what, simply because it's in the WPSerbia template's code? -Bbik 19:36, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Doesn't need to be, but it does reduce banner crowding. It doesn't have to be used if it's problematic. Also, please specify a page where the problem you cited appears. John Carter 20:36, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
For the red-linked template in the list when you edit, pick any talk page with the WPSerbia banner and scroll down. For the red link showing in the template itself when the workgroup's used, I haven't actually seen it on any page, just got curious and tested a bit without saving. However, here, I saved this time so you could see. The Belgrade work group page doesn't exist either, for that matter, but that's less of an issue than whatever the template was supposed to be, and easily fixed by just removing the link. -Bbik 23:39, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

documentary about Novi Sad music scene

I was wondering if anyone heard anything about a documentary film called Bilo jednom... it is apparently focused on the punk rock music scene in Novi Sad, and I thought someone might have heard something about it. Kosovo

Hello. There's a discussion and vote going on at Talk:Kosovo#Kosovo:_terminology as to whether or not it's better to use Kosovo rather than Kosovan or Kosovar in the Wikipedia articles. You've contributed to Balkans articles in the past and I thought you might have an interest. Cheers. 16:15, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

There's also a discussion going on Talk:List of countries as to whether or not Kosovo should be included in that list. You have an interest in Serbia-related articles and I thought you might be interested. The articles List of countries and Annex to the list of countries (where the inclusion criteria reside) are both relevant. Cheers again. DSuser 16:15, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

three finger salute (tri prsta)

There is currently a content dispute in the Three-finger salute (Serbian) article. If there are any editors here who are more familiar with the usage of the salute in Serbia and by Serbs, please help us reach a consensus on how the article should be presented. In particular it would be helpful if a native speaker can verify the sources provided, and perhaps add additional references as I'm having difficulty located English language sources on the subject. // laughing man 16:28, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Movement for unification of Serbia and Montenegro (copy)

I came across the article for Movement for unification of Romania and Moldova and was wondering if it might apply to Serbia and Montenegro's situation as the two topics are closely similar, even more so with Serbia and Montenegro.

There is enough historical evidence and proof here on Wikipedia itself to build a detailed article on the subject. Such as the close relationship historic/cultural/ethnic between the two groups. As well as political parties in both nations, particularly in Montenegro supporting the idea. Let me know what you think. Bluewings 2:44, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

hatnote

I've removed the "Self Requesting Block" redirect/hatnote that was recently added as it not a very commonly linked to page, and the "shortcut" to an anchor on a the WP:BLOCK page will confuse other editors. // laughing man 15:01, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to point attention to recently published book Српско поморје од 7. до 10. столећа (warning, 27MB PDF) by Đorđe Janković. Serb Chetniks Rescue U.S. Pilots during World War II/Operation Halyard

Article Serb Chetniks Rescue U.S. Pilots during World War II has been listed as in need of improvement since January 2006. In the meantime, someone created and I improved on article Operation Halyard that was supposed to serve as a replacement for the first article but the first one was never deleted. Flag of Serbia

As everyone's noticed theres been a change to the colour or hue of the flag, particularly the blue. I know that the change was based on the National Assembly site but the Government site which has the symbol as well shows the blue as the original darker hue which is consistent with Serbian flags through out history (general present with a darker blue rather than lighter) [2] So we are presented with conflicting sides here. I generally dislike the lighter blue and its quite evident when seeing the Serbian flag in actual photos that it is darker... at least darker than what is presented here. Let me know what you think. WikiProject Kosovo relaunched

Editors may wish to be aware that Wikipedia:WikiProject Kosovo has been relaunched to help coordinate editing and facilitate monitoring of Kosovo-related articles. I will be sponsoring the project. If you have any queries about it, please ask me on my talk page or use Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Kosovo.

If you wish to become involved, please feel free to do so - simply leave your username at Wikipedia:WikiProject Kosovo#Participants. One feature that you may find particularly useful is the public watchlist. If you click here you can see all the recent changes to articles listed on the watchlist.

There is still a lot of work to be done on getting the project off the ground, so your help would be welcomed. In particular:

 • The public watchlist needs to be populated with all Kosovo-related articles (and redirects), categories, images and templates. I've added as many as I've found so far but more need to be added.

Draft Guidelines for Lists of companies by country - Feedback Requested

Within WikiProject Companies I am trying to establish guidelines for all Lists of companies by country, the implementation of which would hopefully ensure a minimum quality standard and level of consistency across all of these related but currently disparate articles. Kosovan Serb Assembly I know that I have mixed lower case with capitals in the Serbian name. Please assist if you know the Cyrillic alphabet and translate the name literally if you can. —Justin (koavf)TCM22:20, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I've done a bit of poking around, and I think I fixed it, but I'm going to leave the tag there so some one of you others who actually speaks the language can double check it. -Bbik 00:01, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dejan Medaković

Is anyone interested in helping with a biographical article on a Serbian academic? Dejan Medaković, a former president of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SASA) apparently has just died (1 July 2008 or 2 July 2008 - some confusion about that at the article). I've just had to remove most of the text of the article because it appears to have been copied from the SASA website (and it probably needed some rewrite for WP style, anyway.) I'd think the info from the SASA site would be a good source for the article, we just need to not copy it directly. I don't think I'd have a chance to get to it before this coming weekend at the soonest, and since his death is a "current event" (at least in Serbian academic spheres), I thought someone else might like to work on it before then. I've posted a similar request for assistance at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Biography. Thanks, Lini (talk) 12:22, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Changes to the WP:1.0 assessment scheme

As you may have heard, we at the Wikipedia 1.0 Editorial Team recently made some changes to the assessment scale, including the addition of a new level. The new description is available at WP:ASSESS.

 • The new C-Class represents articles that are beyond the basic Start-Class, but which need additional references or cleanup to meet the standards for B-Class.
 • The criteria for B-Class have been tightened up with the addition of a rubric, and are now more in line with the stricter standards already used at some projects.
 • A-Class article reviews will now need more than one person, as described here.

Each WikiProject should already have a new C-Class category at Category:C-Class_articles. If your project elects not to use the new level, you can simply delete your WikiProject's C-Class category and clarify any amendments on your project's assessment/discussion pages. The bot is already finding and listing C-Class articles.

Please leave a message with us if you have any queries regarding the introduction of the revised scheme. This scheme should allow the team to start producing offline selections for your project and the wider community within the next year. Thanks for using the Wikipedia 1.0 scheme! Articles flagged for cleanup

Currently, 1956 articles are assigned to this project, of which 353, or 18.0%, are flagged for cleanup of some sort. (Data as of 14 July 2008.) Are you interested in finding out more? I am offering to generate cleanup to-do lists on a project or work group level. See User:B. Wolterding/Cleanup listings for details. Subscribing is easy - just add a template to your project page. If you want to respond to this canned message, please do so at my user talk page. --B. Wolterding (talk) 16:16, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Battle of KOsovo Problem, it was military draw

Vazno!

I came across that these are reliable sources from encyclopedia.com http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Battle_of_Kosovo&diff=237017367&oldid=236979065 some dudes mkil and others have edit war over it, it used to say pyrrhic victory but also draw for the battle itself, in military terms. See what could be done about fixing this, it's up to you if you want this article corrected, as it was a draw, it took turks many decaded to conquer rest of serbia and balkans. I dont know your language well but I know enough to know what is a loss or a draw! Before making any changes there, agree here first! That article is totally messed up!

Wikipedia 0.7 articles have been selected for Serbia

A collection of Wikipedia articles is being collected together as Wikipedia 0.7. This collection will be released on DVD later this year, and will be available for free download. The Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team has made an automated selection of articles for Version 0.7.

We would like to ask you to review the articles selected from this project. These were chosen from the articles with this project's talk page tag, based on the rated importance and quality. If there are any specific articles that should be removed, please let us know at Wikipedia talk:Version 0.7. You can also nominate additional articles for release, following the procedure at Wikipedia:Release Version Nominations.

A list of selected articles with cleanup tags, sorted by project, is available. The list is automatically updated each hour when it is loaded. Please try to fix any urgent problems in the selected articles; a team of copyeditors has agreed to help improve the writing upon request.

We would also appreciate your help in identifying the version of each article that you think we should use, to help avoid vandalism or POV issues. These versions can be recorded at this project's subpage of User:SelectionBot/0.7. We are planning to release the selection for the holiday season, so we ask you to select the revisions before October 20. At that time, we will use an automatic process to identify which version of each article to release, if no version has been manually selected. Thanks! FK Lunjevica Gornji Milanovac

Another editor has created FK Lunjevica Gornji Milanovac. If the football club is notable, the article should be expanded. If it is not notable, then the article should be deleted. -- Eastmain (talk) 02:41, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kosovo geographic articles introduction

Recently there has been some drawn out edit warring regarding geography articles where some editors would like to say that something is in Kosovo, without mentioning Serbia at all.

In general, in geography articles, we say that "X is a city in Country" or, if the country has significant subdivisions (which Kosovo certainly is), "X is a city in Subdivision, Country". Prior to Kosovo's UDI we tended to use "X is a city in Kosovo, a province of Serbia under UN administration". However, some editors object to doing this anymore.

So, I am suggesting that we flesh out a proposal on what should be an acceptable description; for example, it may be "X is a city in Kosovo, Serbia". Then, we can invite editors from Wikiproject Kosovo, and perhaps other interested editors via a RfC to comment and reach a compromise; then, implement the compromise on Kosovo-related geographic articles. Nikola (talk) 21:45, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Since the note used in the article on the Šar Mountains (after this discussion) is being used in other articles as well, I have created a template for it Kosovo-note, although taking the liberty of making a modification (subject to review by everyone, of course). - Feel free to discuss the issue at the template's talk page. :-) Best regards, Ev (talk) 16:45, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Based on a search of Wikipedia's articles related to Serbia, I've found some articles that I believe are about places in Serbia, and could usefully have geographical coordinates added.

The articles in question are listed in Category:Serbia articles missing geocoordinate data. At the time of writing, some examples included:

 1. Countess Ljubica's Residence
 2. Despot Stefan Tower
 3. Drenovac
 4. Gruža (lake)
 5. Museum of Contemporary Art (Belgrade)
 6. Obrež
 7. Rakovički potok

...and there are many more, as well. At the time of posting this notice, there were 501 articles in this category needing geographical coordinates.

Why add coordinates?

By adding coordinates, a Wikipedia reader can easily view the location on a street map, nautical chart, topographic map, by satellite photo, realtime weather map, and in many other ways. Coordinate data makes an article eventually appear in various services such as Google Maps' Wikipedia overlay, Google Earth, and Wikipedia's own internal map service. Coordinate data also helps readers looking for geographically-based data, such as locations near a reference point, or related information.

How can I do it?

The articles are all marked with coord missing tags, which need to be replaced with coord tags that contain the location's latitude/longitude coordinates; or you might be able to add coordinates to an existing infobox. You can find out how to do this at the Wikipedia:Geocoding how-to for WikiProject members.

Please let me know if this is useful, or if there is any way I can help! -- The Anome (talk) 11:39, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Stadion Fk Detelinara

Need a bit of help sorting out the Stadion Fk Detelinara article. The text of this article appears to be about FK Novi Sad, but I can't figure out enough about either one from the text to figure out if one is a stadium and the other a football club, or they are names for the same thing, or what. Drawing board article in Serbian

From what I can tell, an editor has left an article in Serbian at Wikipedia:Drawing board#Pravodslavna Koliba Svetog Arhangela Gavrila. Could someone please take a look at that section and respond. Thanks for any help in advance. -Optigan13 (talk) 07:02, 13 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

We need to expand the page of the Belgrade Metro. shield identification

Image:-RepublicSrbska.jpg is somehow related to Serbia, but this is not the national shield. Can anyone identify it? Chris (クリス • フィッチ) (talk) 17:26, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's labeled as an alternative variant of the logo of the Scouting Association of the Serbian Republic; see Savjet izviđačkih organizacija u Bosni i Hercegovini. — Kpalion(talk) 18:01, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but what is the shield inside from? It doesn't match any Wiki article I can find. Chris (クリス • フィッチ) (talk) 01:31, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Could somebody who knows something about this pleeese go to the page, read my comments on the discussion page annd make the necessary adjustments to the statements which are currently meaningless to the ordinary reader. This is important.

Secondly, someone with a little knowledge of architecture really needs to write about the style of the building. It is drawn directly from Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. This article cannot possibly warrant a B grading if the very obvious nature of the architectural tradition is not included in the article. You cannot base a building directly on one of the most famous buildings in the world, and then not write that this is where the design comes from!

Amandajm (talk) 02:09, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nobody has responded to this. I'm just letting you know here that I have reduced this article from a B to a C rating because of the problems. Please read the article discussion page and fix it. One problem needs a person with architectural knowledge, but the other problem needs anybody who knows something about the city. Amandajm (talk) 01:49, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is Weird Al Serbian?

There is some dispute on the Serbian American article on whether "Weird Al" Yankovic is of Serbian descent and should be included in the article. Some source say he is only Yugoslavian, including his personal website and an interview. Other sources say he is Serbian such as IMBD and another website. Also, though this is a weak argument, Yankovic is a Serbian name and he is listed as Serbian in the Serbs and List of Serbs article. Essentially I'm looking for some assistance to avoid an edit war. Cathedral of Saint Sava

Please someone, anyone go to Talk:Temple of Saint Sava and read the request for clarification. Honestly, this isn't hard! It doesn't require in-depth knowledge! It only requires some "local knowledge". I'm sure that most of the people who belong to this project are capable of fixing it. If you read my suggestions, you will understand the problem and know how to fix it.

I am amazed that a request for something to be fixed can be ignored for weeks and months. This is not a big ask. Amandajm (talk) 06:49, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
