Bantayan is a 1st class[1] municipality on Bantayan Island in the province of Cebu, Philippines, 136 kilometres (85 miles) from Cebu City.
It is the island's most populous and largest town, with a population of 74,785 people according to the 2010 census. It is bordered to the north by Madridejos and to the southeast by Santa Fe. The municipality also includes numerous smaller islands, such as the Don Islands (Botigues, Doong, Lipayran), Hilotongan, Silion, and Yao.
The Holy Week Processions of Bantayan feature Tableaux that are similar to the Tournament of Roses Parade. They are unique because the carnival like decoration on the floats used by the images and tableaux.
