None of the included sources are independent or SIGCOV, with 4 coming from a website the subject maintains and 1 an op-ed from the author. Delete. No indication that this attorney himself is notable. He was once general counsel for a notable company; and represented that company in negotiating agreements that related to notable people; but nothing indicates that the attorney himself is notable. The closest thing to it is the WSJ article, but it's not really close at all; the WSJ article is not about the attorney himself, and merely sets out his involvement in a larger story as routine news coverage of that story. Meyer Ryshpan

Keep per WP:HEY. I added three RS to the article. While cleaning up, I deleted all the unsourced and unnecessary material, and re-formatted two references. I think the article should be kept largely due to Ryshpan's regular exhibitions at the Montreal of Museum of Fine Arts, and his entry in A Dictionary of Canadian Artists. There is also non-trivial coverage of his 1958 retrospective. It passes WP:GNG with at least two reliable sources. Curiocurio (talk) 14:19, 10 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The article is definitely improved and I thank you for taking that on! but I question the use of MacDonald's dictionary to validate notability. It doesn't appear to be selective but rather inclusive of any artist (the volume Ryshpan is listed is just Canadian artists with last names R-S, that single volume is over 500 pages long, and Ryshpan warrants a single paragraph). Meanwhile, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts exhibitions were not selective nor were they exclusive to Ryshpan. The spring exhibition was for many decades an exhibition open to all artists and often included 400-500 works (see page 2 of the source you provided). Delete - Looking through the history of the article, it looks like is was created as a memorial to a beloved member of the Montreal community. It was then edited down to try to comply with WP:ARTIST. Unfortunately I think the subject fails WP:NBIO and WP:ARTIST. The posthumous retrospective at the local library cannot count towards notability. Keep - The first source provided above is quite good, especially if you go to C5, where it focuses much more on him. I lean towards discounting the second source above since it mostly talks about his former partner's retirement and him contemplating the same in very few words. It is also the same publication and not independent of source #1 above. However, from the sources in the article, the Skate Today piece seems to cover him specifically in depth. Delete I did a bunch of editing (maybe a waste of time) and checked references. I find no independent references - a lot of bios in organizations he's involved in, and they are clearly derived from the bio on his Vilcek site. There are two lengthy interviews (not independent). The one independent article is from the Dayton Daily News but isn't enough for GNG. He has authored books that accompany art exhibitions, and could be NAUTHOR if there were reviews, but I didn't find any. I also did considerable editing on the Vilcek Foundation article which has the same PROMO. I haven't get thought about its GNG status. Lamona (talk) 16:33, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Non-notable per WP:CORP. When I began to shovel out the marketing, I noticed that the references were all press releases and passing mentions. In a WP:BEFORE search, the only significant independent coverage I could find was a product review in The Motley Fool: [5], and the jury seems to be out at WP:RSN on whether they're a reliable source. @BrigadierG Appreciate the feedback on drafting. I have added in news sources as there is SigCov in multiple articles from NY Times, local newspaper, and national magazines. Also added context of Max as a producer and director, and more from times during COVID. His role as Darren was a principal role along with the roles of Brendan, Raphina, and Conor. Disclosed COI because it is the right thing to do, but do not believe this merits deletion since the materials are all sourced and accurately cited and quoted. Also added reference to his work with Tali Golergant as she featured on one of the songs on his album and she is now a ESC finalist. I also appreciate the suggestion to edit other articles and will definitely start to do that. I respectfully ask that the page mark for deletion be removed. Delete. I had to reorganize this article to figure out what was going on here. This is a clear case of WP:TOOSOON. This young actor appeared in a supporting role in an off-Broadway show that was Broadway-bound but never got to Broadway because of the COVID-19 pandemic. He has not had any significant further theatrical roles. He has produced and directed a couple of amateur shows. He had previously had bit parts in several films in his teens, and a leading role in a YouTube short film, playing Young Shane Dawson, when he was 11. He has released two non-notable albums of folk music and played in bands. The New York Times wedding announcement is not independent -- these are user-submitted [6] (and in terms of selection versus decline, this was obviously accepted due to his father being a billionaire, not any notability of the young people); besides being non-independent the announcement contains only two substantive sentences about Philip. The condo-purchase (with sibling) report in NYC real-estate magazine The Real Deal has only half a sentence of encyclopedically noteworthy substantive info about Philip. The Swazi Observer citation (PressReader.com) added by an IP ([7]) is permanently dead, and I can find no coverage relevant to the claim except one passing mention. The Bloomberg stock profile link is permanently dead, and Ki Corporation is his father's holding company.

Further information: After coming across a Wikipedia mirror of his father's wiki article that said Philip was formerly married to Rona Gluck, I looked into this further. I found that Philip's first wife Rona has been remarried to Fred Davis since at least early 2013: [8], and since 2014/2015 Kirsh has been remarried to Monette de Botton [9] [10] [11]. Keep as meeting WP:SIGCOV. Google scholar yields a number of scholarly sources that are paywalled. In particular, there's a book "State Association for Retarded Children and New York State Government" which is not available online. Archive.org also has a lot of hits but many of them are unavailable for borrowing. I was able to find at least two multi-paragraph treatments of the article subject (plus the Autism one which is brief). It gets a lot of mentions on archive - there's probably more significant coverage out there.

Delete (Weak) - There is a big gap in WP on instrumental performers who have created the American musical/movie music scene, and in general the encyclopedia is too quick to delete (especially for women and minority performers), but here I think the AfD is correct. The Baltimore Sun article gives a bit of notability, but the other sources do not. A blurb on the back of one's teacher's independently published book is not enough. There needs to be more and I could not find anything that led to more than what a local performing teacher would have. Comment The article on Nuyorican rap should be considered carefully before nomination for deletion, as it addresses a unique and influential subset of hip hop culture. Comment Didn’t want to substantially rewrite what is here, since that’s a big change, but the added sources and the general coverage of the issue indicate that “Nuyorican rap” is interchangeable with “Nuyorican hip-hop.” This might be worth noticing in the body of the article, and is definitely worth keeping in mind when looking for other sources to continue improving this article. “Nuyorican rap” didn’t return as many solid sources as “Nuyorican hip-hop,” possibly due to the fact that the apex of the genre was the late 90’s, early ‘00’s, when hip-hop was a more commonly used term. Redirect This article is a stub with references that don't include the word "Nuyorican", and List of Nuyorican rappers is both unsourced and not supported by many of the target articles. There seems to be WP:OR that implies anyone vaguely associated with both New York City and Puerto Rico that is in music is part of this genre. Delete - I wasn't able to find much information about him, beyond the fact that he's a theatre director. There is a passing mention in a brief Playbill article, which states that he is directing the play, but that was the only source I could find about the Casey Childs that matched the article's description. Comment. I object to the fact that the majority of the nom relates to the fact that one of the edits to this article was by User:USAstinks ("most recently edited by someone with an offensive username"). That is an argument to avoid.
