:2405:201:8803:5F9D:E494:72C9:FAB9:FF07 There is nothing wrong with using PRS figures for total GDP of individual states and UTs. The PRS source, though itself unofficial is a reliable source and compiles budget analyses of various states and UTs based on the data given in the official budget speeches of the respective states. Besides PRS provides most recent (2019-20) GDP figures of many states. I used common MOSPI source for most states and UTs in List of Indian states and union territories by GDP per capita to maintain consistency and ensure that only per capita NSDP figures are used for all states and UTs and per capita GSDP figures of a few specific states are not mixed up with them. The important thing to mention here is that per capita GSDP figures (official and unofficial) are available for only a few Indian states while per capita NSDP figures are available for all. The thing is most state governments in India release only per capita NSDP figures as the state's "per capita income". Since both (per capita GSDP and per capita NSDP) are different and former is significantly greater than the latter, mentioning per capita GSDP figures for a few states in a list that contains per capita NSDP figures for most other states inflates the ranking of the former group of states. Therefore, per capita NSDP figures are used for all states and UTs and the MOSPI source has been used for most states since it is the only common source providing the latest data and that too official. MOSPI figures are anyways most reliable for per capita income (NSDP). In case of states for which MOSPI source doesn't have latest data and other reliable sources mentioning the same are available, the latter have been used. For total GDP or GSDP, there is no such problem since it is GSDP which is always used by state governments, print media and internet and never NSDP. Lastly, PRS figures are being used in total GDP list only because they are reliable in case of total GSDP and also PRS provides most recent data for many states.

::Vibhss Alright, if you think PRS source can be used for total GSDP figure well alright, since PRS uses budget data and also publishes latest figures despite being an "unofficial source". I am not concerned about Per Capita figures. Before your comment I actually made changes to few individual states article in the "infobox" and in the "Lead section" regarding their GSDP and per capita figures, if possible kindly correct it with latest data with source. The list includes Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, Andhra pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, India, West Bengal. Guideline for editing Wikipedia

Hi, you seem to be enjoying editing Wikipedia. But a lot of contribution made by you doesn't seems neutral. When you edit any page, if you are providing any information whether it be bad or good for the topic, should be added in encyclopedic manner. Don't remove contributions unnecessary. Articles should be written with NEUTRAL point of view. See WP:NPOV. Thanks... TrendSPLEND 15:37, 7 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Apologize

Hi, Vibhss. Sorry for the message which I sent. That was intended for the person who was doing all that Vandalism on the page Kota, Rajasthan. I mistaken you to be that disruptor. Actually, the info about suicides in Kota was originally added by me. When I looked at it some days back, I found it in a total mess. So I decided to leave a message for some guidelines. Now I have sent the final warning messages to that User:Pranav_Lalpuria for the vandalism. But still, I don't adhere to your point "more and more reliable sources should be added" as I have replied to your question for the same point. Think upon it. Be calm. List of cities in India by population

The ref invoked might be helpful for entry of a city. But the users who are unaware are taking it as a ref and adding the provisional population. Population.de might be a helpful one.--Vin09(talk) 08:46, 1 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The GDP per capita figure for Pakistan

The figure for Pakistan for the year 2015 released by world bank is 1429 rather than 1317. The figure you were trying to input is for the year 2014. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chrischen0410 (talkcontribs) 22:01, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It's not an estimate dude...the World Bank has already released the total GDP and mid-year population for every country for the year 2015. Therefore, the only thing you need to do is importing these data and get excel to calculate the GDP per capita figure for you automatically...It's the actual figure and not an estimate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chrischen0410 (talkcontribs) 22:14, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please see your talk page for the message I sent you.Vibhss (talk) 22:21, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I understand that WB hasn't updated the data yet but that does not mean it hasn't released the data yet...It just takes time for them to update. I can guarantee that the data is the actual one. Also, why are only focusing on Pakistan only... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chrischen0410 (talkcontribs) 22:27, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The whole World Bank list is based on the actual number for the year 2015. I will tell you this once again, it is not an estimate. World bank has already released the total GDP figure and mid-year population figure for every country on July 1, 2016. Take your time and look into it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chrischen0410 (talkcontribs) 22:34, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

All other countries are having the figures for the year 2015. Please check that again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chrischen0410 (talkcontribs) 22:38, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I will take the figure for Luxembourg as an example. The data for LUX for the year 2014 was 116,613 while the data on the list right now for the year 2015 is 101,393 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chrischen0410 (talkcontribs) 22:43, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Oh God...When was the last time you following the world economy trend? Brazilian real has been devalued for over 30% plus Brazilian economy has gone into a negative growth section. Reason behind it was Strong dollar and the decline of oil price globally — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chrischen0410 (talkcontribs) 22:58, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No, It's not the case for other countries. The reason behind it is strong dollar. Because we measure gdp per capita for every country in USD, therefore when dollar goes strong, other currencies are going down against the US dollar. Therefore, it shows a huge decline on almost every country's gdp per capita. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chrischen0410 (talkcontribs) 23:15, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Hindi shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Regarding your message for removal of religion pie chart

Hi. Saw your message today. Sorry for being so late(took forever to get your message as i was very busy and inactive on wikipedia for a while). Anyways, the reason i deleted it is for some time i am seeing some radicals editing it to highlight their religion. They just increase their percentage or number shamelessly without any sources. As a result, i had to remove that numerous times. It got to the point that it seemed irrelevant to even be on that page. If you have credible sources, its good and i have absolutely no problem with that. Thank you.Wikiboy2364 (talk) 18:36, 3 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A friendly word of caution

I needs help for Shreya Ghoshal's article

Hi dear, since you are a Indian citizen, please can you tell me 'Kerala State Film Award' and 'Tamil Nadu State Film Award' are notible awards in India? Zafar24Talk 20:14, 25 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Zafar24: Hi. If you intend to mention these awards in "Awards and nominations" section of the article Shreya Ghoshal itself, then you can't do this because these are state level awards. Only Filmfare Awards and National Film Awards must be mentioned in that section. These two awards are also notable enough to be mentioned in other sections and their count along with Filmfare Awards South is also mentioned in lead (starting paragraph) of article Shreya Ghoshal and that is perfectly fine. The songs for which Ghoshal received her first Tamil Nadu State Film Award and Kerala State Film Award are already being mentioned in "2008-14" subsection of "Music Career" section of article and that is enough.

Besides, Ghoshal has won 110+ awards. We can't mention each one on the article itself. Detailed mention of Filmfare Awards and National Film Awards and mention of count of these awards along with Filmfare Awards South in the starting paragraph is perfectly reliable and enough. There is a separate article which has full list of Awards and nominations received by Shreya Ghoshal. So, that article fulfills the informative purpose. Vibhss (talk) 17:57, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Vibhss, I already understood that, we cannot add all awards but I was not clear about that two award which a new editor had added 'Kerala State Film Award' and 'Tamil Nadu State Film Award' in lead section of Shreya Ghoshal. Can we remove this, Its already in the lead section of Shreya Ghoshal. Please see This edit (of new editor has wrote) : https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:MobileDiff/767036025 Zafar24Talk 18:16, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Zafar24: Oh! I'm sorry. Well, regarding your question I saw "good article" Rajinikanth and article K. S. Chithra (also a well-established multilingual singer like Shreya). The lead of these articles mention State film awards also alongside Filmfare and National Film Awards. So, I think these two awards must not be removed from Shreya Ghoshal lead right now as these are government awards and Ghoshal renders her voice in songs of many different Indian languages. And later if someone else remove them for some good and proper reason, we'll check. Well they must be mentioned in the lead according to me. Vibhss (talk) 19:19, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Okay dear Vibhss. I agree with you. Thank for helping. Zafar24Talk 21:11, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

List of urban areas by population

While we are thinking about population stats, article List of urban areas by population relies mostly upon Demographia data. I have suggested adding UN figures to the list. I think they might be better - do you have an opinion on that? Batternut (talk) 16:16, 4 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Batternut: Definitely, I agree with you. UN figures are most reliable and should be used on article List of urban areas by population. Vibhss (talk) 17:40, 4 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Question regarding writing on someone

Sir, I want to write an article of Karishma Agrahari , she's a singer by profession and is famous in lucknow city ,even she's a winner to many singing competitions and awarded by many celebs and politicians , She reached till blind auditions in The Voice (singing reality show) in Mumbai also she owns her rock band called Sacred leaf which sounds good with increasing in no of subscribers and views on you tube.... Can i write about it and if yes then how can i do so..?? Vivek agrahari (talk) 20:56, 19 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Vivek agrahari: Well, you can create the article if you have enough reliable sources to support the information in the article you want to create. For detailed procedure, you can go through Wikipedia:How to create a page. I can tell you the simplest procedure already explained in that page: Type the name of article in the search box of Wikipedia and click on search icon. If the page doesn't exist, search result will display "Page doesn't exist" with the link of name you typed in red colour. Just click on that red colored link and you will be proceeded to creation of page with name you typed. Just start typing the code and save the page. The new article is created. But remember, you have to create the article in accordance with Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines knowing the markup language used in Wikipedia. And as I said, the content in the article must be verifiable from reliable sources. Wikipedia doesn't accept poorly sourced or unsourced content and such content is liable to be removed. If whole article is poorly sourced or completely unsourced, then it may be deleted by the admministrators. Vibhss (talk) 22:47, 19 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
(talk page stalker) @Vivek agrahari:, you should first read our general notability guideline as well as our specific guidelines for musicians. You need to properly establish that the subject is notable, which is probably the hardest aspect of article creation, and the one that is most likely to cause frustration. Simply appearing on television isn't enough, she needs to have received significant (i.e. in-depth) coverage from multiple reliable sources, not passing mentions. You should probably also consider our Articles for Creation process, which will give you an opportunity to expand the article and get it up to speed before it goes live. Creating a sub-standard article in live space puts it at much higher risk of deletion. Regards. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 22:42, 19 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I noticed an edit summary of yours on Ambala, where you wrote that Haryanvi isn't a language, only a regional dialect of Hindi. Well, FYI linguists don't share that opinion, and have a separate language code for it (see Haryanvi language), and in the 2000 census the Government of India also treated Haryanvi as a separate language (see this excerpt from the census results). In the latest census it was AFAIK included in Hindi, though, but according to linguists and others only in order to inflate the number of Hindi speakers for political reasons. - Tom | Thomas.W talk 22:22, 23 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Thomas.W:: But Haryanavi language doesn't have official status anywhere. The primary official language of Haryana is Hindi. Check it out. I just removed Haryanavi from official section of infobox of Ambala. Vibhss (talk) 22:26, 23 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

 • I don't doubt that Hindi is the official language there, and have no intention of reverting you, from a "scientific standpoint" it isn't just a regional dialect, though, but a separate language. As are a considerable number of other separate languages in the Hindi language family that were bunched together with Hindi in the 2011 census results in order to increase the number of speakers of "Hindi" from ~260 million to ~420 million (see this). - Tom | Thomas.W talk 22:38, 23 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Thomas.W:: Please don't take me other way. Do you remember, last year I had a long debate with you regarding number of Hindi speakers. I was again and again trying to convey to you that although Census of India groups many languages under broader Hindi group (which have total 422 million speakers as per 2001 census), still it provided individual figures for "Proper Hindi" or "Standard Hindi" (with 260 million speakers) like Haryanavi, Bhojpuri, Rajasthani, Chattisgarhi etc and I wanted to update those 260 million figures. At that time, you were hellbent on keeping 1991 Ethnologue figures of 180 million saying Census has a different definition of Hindi (Of course, referring to only 422 million figure here). You didn't even try to understand my point. Now what ? In its newer edition, Ethnologue updated number of Hindi speakers to 260 million with year 2001 clearly indicated. Tweek. Finally, then our hon'ble Wikipedians updated "Standard Hindi" speakers on article Hindi. In your above defined source from Census of India site, if you found number of Haryanavi speakers, you must also have found number of Hindi speakers right next to it. It is 258 million which is approximately equal to 2001 figure of Ethnologue (260 million). What say ?
And as you said above, "As are a considerable number of other separate languages in the Hindi language family that were bunched together with Hindi in the 2011 census results in order to increase the number of speakers of "Hindi" from ~260 million to ~420 million." I would like to correct you. Firstly, This is 2001 census data and not 2011 census. Seeondly, all Hindi languages (incl. Standard Hindi) are very much similar to each other. As a Standard Hindi speaker, I can understand most of what a person speaking in Haryanvi, Rajasthani, Braj, Awadhi or Bhojpuri or Chattisgarhi is saying. The school students in those areas are taught Hindi (that is the official language in those states) as language and not any of these Rajasthani or Awadhi or bla bla bla. You know, Hindi is lingua franca for people speaking these other Hindi languages. Thus census mix standard Hindi (260 million speakers) with other similar languages (160 million)under a larger group "Hindi" (422 million speakers). Still, I know speakers of these languages must not be mixed with those of Standard Hindi. So, are you going to accept your folly regarding previous year ? (Sorry) I am eagerly waiting for your response. Vibhss (talk) 23:20, 23 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Reference error in transclusions

Hi there, re: this and this edit of mine, I have moved the reference from the Global gross table down to the List of highest-grossing Telugu films for a reason. The Telugu table is being transcluded to List of highest-grossing Telugu films. Transclusion is when you have data on one page (List of highest-grossing Indian films) that is automatically replicated on another page (List of highest-grossing Telugu films). We use transclusions so that data can be maintained in one central location, instead of in multiple articles. This creates consistency across articles. If you look at the page source at List of highest-grossing Telugu films, you'll see:

Highest-grossing Telugu films
<!--NOTE: This table is being transcluded from another article. To make changes to the table, you must edit List of highest-grossing Indian films#Highest-grossing Telugu films-->

This coding means we're sucking the content out of general India list article. If we use a reference shortcut in the Telugu table, it generates an error at List of highest-grossing Telugu films, because that page doesn't know where the reference was first defined. By moving the reference down to the Telugu table, the reference error is fixed. I hope this helps explain things. If this doesn't appeal to you, the other approach would be to use the same reference twice, but to use different "ref name" values, but that seems needlessly messy. Thanks. News18

Hi there, re: this, WP:ICTF#Guidelines on sources isn't intended to be a comprehensive list, only to generally indicate the sorts of sources that are and are not considered reliable. Naturally there will be crappy blogs that are not mentioned on the list of "don't use these" and naturally there will be good sources that are not indicated on the "please use these" list. In this case, I believe news18.com to be a sufficient source. It used to be known as CNN IBN, which was typically allowed in articles. Per their "About us" page they appear to still be owned in part by CNN, and are presumably operating according to CNN's editorial standards. You edited out a portion that criticised the film on the basis that it was casteist and racist. I would suggest that you look at the definition of a review.

No.6 clearly says that a review is a 'critical evaluation' : i.e. in other words an opinion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Swiftdragon5 (talkcontribs) 18:44, 25 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I happened to notice this as well. The content of the critical response section needn't only come from film reviewers. If an opinion piece is printed by a major news organisation, that would be suitable. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 13:29, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Coimbatore Airport Indigo Destinations

Hi, I see you reverting Agartala as a destination of Indigo from Coimbatore Airport page. Do note that 6E892 is being operated as CJB-MAA-CCU-IXA. Its a two-stop flight but still a direct one as flight number is same. Do check this link and also Indigo booking engine. It also seems that you ignore the message in edit summary before proceeding. --Amdmustafa (talk) 15:59, 31 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Meraj Airlines' Delhi to Tehran Seasonal Charter flight.

Hello Vibhss, I have one query that as you've added Meraj Airlines to the Delhi Airport's destination list, do the flights operate also? Because today I went to the airline's website and searched for the flights but it said there are no flights. Also the reference you had given for Delhi, I went to check it. But, it said "ERROR 404". So should I remove the flight from the list? Thank You! FlyJet777 (talk) 08:49, 7 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@FlyJet777: Hello. Since the Meraj Airlines' flight between Tehran and Delhi is a seasonal charter (starkly different from scheduled seasonal flights), we can't expect a pre-decided/ pre-planned schedule for this flight from Meraj. But as you can see here, Delhi is mentioned as one of the destinations from Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport. So, we can't rule out that the airline operates a flight to Delhi. Vibhss (talk) 09:59, 7 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. I went on the article: Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport page and saw that Delhi to Tehran is a charter flight and not Seasonal Charter flight. Your point is true that in the Meraj Airlines website, Delhi is written in their destination list. But, the problem is the source is now not available on the website and there's no news in the press. It looks a bit complicated. Thank You! FlyJet777 (talk) 12:29, 7 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@FlyJet777: Friend, I basically said that we can't find schedule for all charter flights whether they operate seasonally or throughout the year. Delhi is associated with Meraj Airlines as a charter flight destination as backed by the airline's site. Vibhss (talk) 14:24, 7 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Tourism in India

Someone had recently added the one-sided content,[3][4] which is prohibited by WP:NOTNEWSPAPER, because wikipedia is not a news. There are many incidents of crimes including Racism in Australia against tourists, but it doesn't means that we are going to present one sided story just to caution tourists. Now per WP:BRD you will have to discuss the content, gain consensus before. But I would say that it is not really going to work since we better keep such content on the main articles such as Crime in India and Rape in India. Pie charts look like squares on the phone website

I was changing the pie charts to bar graphs as the pie charts appear as squares on my phone ( my laptop is broken) and as you know that does'nt present the information in the desired form. If you know of a way to just change the phone site or a way to correct this glitch, please tell me about it Ankur Bhandari (talk) 09:03, 1 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Ankur Bhandari: Even if your phone has problem in displaying the pie chart and your laptop is broken, how can you make such drastic changes here without any discussion ? Just for your convenience ? This is a public encyclopaedia and not your personal blog. The pie charts are displayed absolutely perfectly in my phone. Had there been any problem in displaying the pie charts, many senior editors would have discussed it long back. May be your phone has some problem or your internet connection is slow. Wikipedia has certain regimes which you can't change individually. There is not even scope of any discussion for your immature excuses for vandalizing so many articles. Moreover, as I said in my message on your talk page, you don't even know how to correctly round off percentages. You can open desktop site on your phone also. Go to the bottom of the concerned article on mobile Wikipedia site. In that also, you may find your problems like letters are not equal in size throughout the page and blah blah. Wikipedia can be read most efficiently in desktop only. There are many display problems in Mobile Wikipedia. Sorry but we cannot tolerate unconstructive changes for your convenience. Vibhss (talk) 15:24, 1 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Vibhss: 1) actually i have had the same problem while using more than one phone (3 to be exact) .

2) This could be due to a slow internet connection but do you think that the majority of the people who view wikipedia or at least search for the indian states have a good internet connection? ( i think they dont, especially for the indian states) if they dont (and a slow connection is really the cause of this problem) then for the majority of the people viewing those webpages the pie charts make no sense and should be replaced by a better format. I dont understand why you consider pie charts to be so sacred( you referred to my changing them to bar boxes as a drastic change)

3) it could be that most of the experienced editors only view wikipedia on their laptops ( as you said , it has fewer glitches) or have a good internet connection.

4) Even before my laptop broke down i rarely used it to view wikipedia( though i would've preferred to edit on it) and that is true for many people i know. Smartphones are the most popular way to use the internet around the world so more attention should be given to the mobile site and app( like using a format compatible with the mobile site)

5) Sorry for not rounding off the numbers properly. I'll try to not make this mistake again.

6) these were my first few edits and i did'nt know how to use the talk. It was by chance that i found a barbox in the article of telangana and i copied it, changing the title and percentages afterwards.Ankur Bhandari (talk) 19:14, 4 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback granted

Hi Vibhss. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

 • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
 • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
 • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
 • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
 • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Beeblebrox (talk) 18:34, 27 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Jetstreamer: I removed the citation needed template from the infobox because sources have already been defined for hub and operating bases in Destinations section of article IndiGo. I mentioned about it in my edit summary also. What wrong I did? Vibhss (talk) 16:38, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Removing a citation needed tag from the list of bases without providing a citation to support them is plainly disruptive. And you did it again without discussing the matter first. I've reinstated the cn tag [5] and it should stay that way until you or anyone else adds citations to support each individual entry with a reference that clearly says "Airport XXX is an operating base for IndiGo", per WP:VERIFY. Yes, you are totally right. Apologies. I crossed out my reply as a memorial to my stupidness.--Jetstreamer Talk 18:11, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

List of Indian states and union territories by GDP per capita

I had edited the value from 95,562 to 108,372 because it was given in the medium term fiscal policy statement & fiscal policy strategy statement 2018-19. Proud India Guy (talk) 22:14, 16 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Proud India Guy: That figure for WB is for per capita GSDP, not per capita NSDP. For all other states, only per capita NSDP figures have been mentioned and WB must not remain any exception with per capita GSDP figures. Since per capita GSDP figures are not available for most of the states as their governments release only per capita NSDP figures, we're bound to use per capita NSDP figures for all states including WB. Per capita GSDP figures are always going to be higher than per capita NSDP and mentioning them for WB only unfairly raises it's rank. I also noticed your manipulative edits in which you maliciously raised WB's value further to 130,000 without any source. You've also disrupted the list with removal of Rajasthan's data in your latest edits. You can get blocked from editing for such malicious and disruptive edits.

For now, only per capita NSDP figures are being used in that list article and they are available for latest ended fiscal year (2017-18) for all states including West Bengal. That figure of 95,562 which you're repeatedly replacing and do not seem to be comfortable with is of WB's per capita NSDP for 2017-18 and has been submitted by West Bengal's state government to Government of India's Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MOSPI). We won't use WB's per capita GSDP on an all India state list article where for all other states and UTs per capita NSDP figures have been mentioned. For further details, check this post on the discussion page of the article. Vibhss (talk) 06:16, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

GDP Ranking

Hello, Can you please change the GDP rankings. The nominal figures have been changed correctly. But it still says 7th as GDP ranking underneath the figure. It should say 5th. According to IMF, India which is mentioned in the wiki page is 2.97 trillion $ and it is the correct figure, U.K is 2.83 trillion $, and France is 2.76 trillion $. States GDP Ranking

Hi, Could please check different Indian states article where GDP and per capita aren't in syn with GDP per capita List or GDP List. Eg Tamil Nadu, West Bengal or Delhi--Priyansh90 (talk) 05:22, 1 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Priyansh90: Well, the reason for that is GDP per capita List contains state-wise per capita NSDP figures instead of per capita GSDP ones and per capita NSDP (Net State Domestic Product) is obviously going to be less than per capita GSDP (Gross State Domestic Product). This has been done because official per capita NSDP figures are available for all states and union territories while per capita GSDP figures are available for a few selected states and those are not even official. The thing is most state governments release only "per capita income" figures which correspond to per capita NSDP and not per capita GSDP. In simple words, we can't compare per capita GSDP of one state with per capita NSDP of other. So, we've kept per capita NSDP figures for all states and union territories in the list article as they are available for all. Individual state articles can mention per capita GSDP figure if it is available and if it is not, the per capita NSDP figure can be mentioned. Vibhss (talk) 06:15, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Update GDP Data List

Hi, Please update List of Indian states and union territories by GDP with official MOSPI source which the Govt of India has released recently instead of unofficial figure from PRSIndia.org. I noticed many individual states mention figure from PRS which is completely unofficial. PRS data has also been mentioned in the above list for few states. I appeal you always take Govt of India or Govt of individual states figure should be taken rather than PRS data. I already noticed you have updated Per Capita GDP list from MOSPI source or individual state govt source, but total GDP needs through update.Thanks--2405:201:8803:5F9D:E494:72C9:FAB9:FF07 (talk) 15:08, 13 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@2405:201:8803:5F9D:E494:72C9:FAB9:FF07: There is nothing wrong with using PRS figures for total GDP of individual states and UTs.
By the time I replied to your message, you had already created a mess in total GDP list which I have now corrected to the best of my abilities with necessary updation of many states' figures using MOSPI as source. Kindly refrain from unnecessarily cluttering this article and instead do a little bit research yourself on identifying reliable sources for use at Wikipedia. Thank youVibhss (talk) 20:01, 15 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Vibhss: Alright, if you think PRS source can be used for total GSDP figure well alright, since PRS uses budget data and also publishes latest figures despite being an "unofficial source". I am not concerned about Per Capita figures. Before your comment I actually made changes to few individual states article in the "infobox" and in the "Lead section" regarding their GSDP and per capita figures, if possible kindly correct it with latest data with source. The list includes Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Telangana, Rajasthan, Andhra pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, India, West Bengal. All these states GSDP and per capita figure has been changed please correct it as soon as possible. But make sure that you provide with latest data available with source. And sorry for these changes made by me. Thanks--2405:201:8803:5F9D:5C93:866B:5DE1:F6B4 (talk) 04:15, 16 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Vibhss: Please ensure that you make proper changes to the above mentioned individual states article if MOSPI provide updated figure no need for PRS, if PRS provide updated figure then provide PRS source. Which ever gives upto date figure mention that source. Bottom-line up to date figure must be mentioned. Thanks--2405:201:8803:5F9D:644D:F947:D80E:29D9 (talk) 04:14, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
