Liuan Leaf , Liuan Melon Seed Tea, Lu'an Guapian, or Liu An Gua Pian, Chinese: "(Chinese: 六安瓜片)", is a special green tea made in Liuan county and the nearby mountain areas of Anhui province in China. The tea leaf's shape looks like 'melon seeds' in English or 'Guapian' in Chinese pinyin. Liuan Leaf is a Green tea. Originating in the Wanxi mountain region,Jinzhai Anhui, this green tea is bright in color and has a particularly sweet taste, and is a famous tea in China. Unlike most green teas which utilize the new buds in making tea, Liu An Gua Pian uses the second leaf on the branch. Each leaf's central vein is removed and the leaves are pan fried and shaped to stop oxidizing enzymes and dry the tea.
