Sparbu is a village and a parish in the municipality of Steinkjer in Nord-Trondelag county, Norway.
Sparbu was formerly a municipality in Nord-Trøndelag. Sparbu was established as a municipality January 1, 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). The district of Ogndal was separated from Sparbu as a municipality of its own January 1, 1885. The rest of Sparbu - together with the municipalities of Ogndal, Beitstad, Egge, Kvam and Stod - were merged with the city of Steinkjer January 1, 1964.
Sparbu station on the Nordland Railway was opened in 1905.
