RTB1 is a 18-hours in daily of the first national free-to-air state media public government terrestrial television channel in Brunei it was pilot television broadcast service on 1 February 1975 at 19:00 BST as the first television station in Brunei Darussalam and officially began broadcasting to regular television set service on 1 March 1975 at 19:00 BST along with RTB2.

RTB1 broadcasts for 18-hours in daily from 06:00 until 00:00 BST with simulcast of RTB4 International filling rest of the time.

During non-operating hours with simultaneously channel will direct television broadcast to RTB4 International for 6-hours in daily from 00:00 until 06:00 BST.

RTB1 mainly shows news and entertainment programme such as news and information, Malaysian youth teen block by Disney Channel Malaysia and Disney XD Malaysia a member of Walt Disney Television Malaysia and owned by Walt Disney Malaysia Sendirian Berhad, Australian sports including tennis, soccer, football and golf which Indonesian home entertainment including sinetron and movie bioscope from RTB4 International are usually relayed for other times.

RTB1 is also available over the Kristal-Astro direct broadcast satellite platform on channel 101 along with RTB4 International.

RTB1 was officially longer for live coverage of the major professional sports in the Australia including tennis, soccer, football and golf such as: Australia Tennis (possibly Australia), Australia Golf (possibly Australia), Australia Football League (possibly Australia) and Australia Soccer League (possibly Austraia a member of Football Federation Australia).

Test of Transmission

Televisyen Brunei it was officially launched the pilot television set service on 1 February 1975 at 19:00 BST as the first television station in Brunei Darussalam is a 1-hours monochrome service of test transmissions began trial of television broadcasts between 19:00 until 20:00 BST.
