ArbCom 2017 election voter message

Hello, Jorgenpfhartogs. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Brie de Meaux, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Frankish (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

The file File:Make mini map.JPG has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Orphaned map.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ~ Rob13Talk 03:07, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Kolbász

Hi , Jorgen! Can you help me find some usefull references to the article Kolbász?

Warrington (talk) 10:48, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Jörgen, do check out how copyright works as sɪzlæk says above. Under copyright law, a translation is considered a derivative work where the copyright of the original work still applies. Tearlach 21:00, 1 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of copyvio tags

Please stop removing copyvio tags. The decision is down to the admins who assess listings on the Wikipedia:Copyright problems page. If you have reason to believe there is no copyright violation, discuss it. As I said, copyright still applies after translation. Tearlach 11:18, 2 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your note: see User talk:Tearlach#Copyright. Best move is to let the copyvio page admins assess it. If they agree with you, I'll happily admit I was wrong. But close translations of this sort, even with paragraphs of new material in between, do tend to be viewed as copyvios. Tearlach 09:36, 3 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I agree but most of them are chronological summaries about these monuments. The facts will saty the same, translate or not, so the format will always look similar to the original. However, it's up to the moderators to review this. If a rewrite has to be done required, please let me know so I can come up with another text. Jorgenpfhartogs 10:01, 3 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Well, there's always a way to phrase differently (drawing on multiple sources helps). These need a look at too: Loretto Abbey/[1], Yellow House Pub (Dublin)/[2] and Marlay Park/[3]. Tearlach 18:37, 3 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Well I did not create these sites, but I will certainly take a look at them. Jorgenpfhartogs 07:07, 4 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I'll get blocked

Soon I'll get blocked (you can be sure of it). --213.138.128.13 15:53, 4 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Pubs

Hoi,

Ik zie dat je veel artikelen over pubs in Ierland aan het schrijven bent. Zou je er op willen letten om een spatie tussen de naam van de put te zetten en het gedeelte tussen haakje. Verder gebruik je te veel, te algemene categorien. Succes, --R.Koot 10:12, 5 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop contributing the way you are now! Most of your edits seem to be copyright violations. Could you please explain this, because this most likely get you banned? --R.Koot 10:27, 5 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Would you please add licensing information to all the images you uploaded. If you don't they will eventualy be deleted. (I suspect that most of these images are not in the public domain nor constitute fair use, please delete them.) --R.Koot 10:55, 5 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
It still is plagiarism. And this does not solve the problem of all the images you uploaded. Furthermore, I sugest you read the Wikipedia:Manual of style. You should try to avoid to Start Every Word In The Title With A Capital. Creating redirect from dutch words is also discouraged. And most of the article you create are most likely to get deleted because of non notability, so you might think if this is worth your time. --R.Koot 12:18, 5 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It is not plagiarism. I don't use the images anymore but will get new ones that are not uploaded on my site already. A lot of those images come directly from my side so if people use them somewhere else I don't complain. Concerning Capitals: The Old Orchard Pub is the name so that would be in capitals. I don't know where I redirect them from Dutch words, but I can't find them. Jorgenpfhartogs 12:24, 5 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Tachtigjarige Oorlog (dutch name and wrong caps). Well then you don't quite understand the concept of plagiarism. Do you claim to have the copyright on all the images you uploaded? --R.Koot 12:27, 5 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. STOP REVERTING THE COPYVIOs!

The Old Orchad Pub(Dublin)

Hey Jorgenpfhartogs, The Old Orchard Pub(Dublin) will need to be moved to The Old Orchard Pub (Dublin), but before I do that I'm just checking that it is actually called "The Old Orchad Pub" and not "Old Orchad Pub". While I'm here, I'm guessing you speak some German, and I am wondering how the letter "k" is pronounced when you say the alphabet in German. Eg, in English we say ..."jay", "kay", "ell"... --Commander Keane 12:46, August 5, 2005 (UTC)

Indeed, you're aboslutely right; it is called Orchard Pub, but since it is a pub I thought I should call it "The" Orchard since there is only one in Dublin (there is another one in Swords, Co. Dublin). I do speak German, the "k" would be pronounced as "kaa" , with a long "aa" like in car but longer. Jorgenpfhartogs 12:57, 5 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Johan Hendrik Caspar Kern

Sure, you can send me the translations (of those Dutch articles, I presume?). My normal response would be "well, why don't you just revise Johan Hendrik Caspar Kern yourself?", but reading this talk page I guess I see why. :) You can use User talk:Quuxplusone/Johan Hendrik Caspar Kern as a scratch page if you like. --Quuxplusone 21:09, 5 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Nice work

It's great to see you contributing in a more productive way. Here are some suggestions to help you further:

  • I did some editing to Wessem. I removed some images (see the point below) changed a standard location template. You might want to fill out some of the information in there.
  • The images you uploaded are still untagged. You can can view the images you uploaded by clicking on 'my contributions'. You should then add a tag to each images, specifying it's licence and source (see Wikipedia:Images and Wikipedia:Image_copyright_tags). If the image is not under a license acceptable to Wikipedia, you can {{d}} on the page. An admin will than delete that image.
  • It's not allowed to add links to your own site. On several pages this has already been reverted by me or other users, but it would be simpler if you didn't add them.
  • After the copyright problems on the articles about Rathfarnahms pubs has been resolved, it would be great if you could rename them (from "The Eden Pub(Dublin)" to "Eden Pub (Dublin)"/"The Eden Pub (Dublin)" (depending on wether or not The is part of the official name)) and categorize them under "Rathfarnham pubs" instead of "Rahthfarnham Pubs".

Cheers and happy editing, R.Koot 15:52, 8 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Ok thanks, I'll start on it tomorrow. Jorgenpfhartogs 15:55, 8 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I've noticed that Image:Ventures79.jpg, and possibly other images you've uploaded, do not have source and copyright information. They may be tagged as having {{no source}} or being of {{unknown}} copyright status. Images given those tags can be deleted 7 days later without further warning. To prevent this, provide accurate copyright tags and sources for all your images. For a list, see your upload log. If you have questions or need help, post to my talk page. Image of Dutch dialects

Hi Jörgen,

You've made a map of Dutch dialects. I like it, but also feel that it can be improved on many points:

  1. It gives the Flemish and Brabantic dialects in Belgium the same colour, suggesting they are more closely related to each other than to the adjoining dialects in The Netherlands.
  2. It shows the dialects of Limburg north of the mich-line as essentially Limburgish. They are Brabantic or South Gueldrian.
  3. The east of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen is given as Zealandic. It is East Flemish.
  4. The Achterhoek is in fact soundly Saxon. The Lijmers is the transition zone.
  5. There is no dialect continuum between Frisian and Saxon, so more precise lines would be in order.
  6. West Flemish should have a different colour from East Flemish.
  7. You correctly let Limburgish extend into Germany. The same should be done for Brabantic and Saxon.

Perhaps when you have time you could change it? As it is, it's rather deceptive, especially on the first point :o(. --MWAK 07:43, 28 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Images on 13th Dublin

Hi. I noticed most images on 13th Dublin don't have sources. My guess is, most of them won't stay long (i.e. someone will soon delete them), so I'd recommend you add a tag to them. Either {{gfdl}} or {{PD}} if you have taken the image youself or have permission to realease the image under those licenses, or {{fair use}} if you haven't permission, but think it would otherwise constitute fair use. Regards, Fred-Chess 23:23, 30 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:VlagRoermond.jpg. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag, so its copyright status is therefore unclear. Please add a tag to let us know its copyright status. (If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have tagged them, too. Note that any unsourced and untagged imaged will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Michael 09:02, 1 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Rathfarnham yellow house.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Supercoop 20:43, 4 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Image Tagging Image:Buglers.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Buglers.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. Scouting Ireland edits

Hi, thanks for your contributions on Scouting in Ireland. However, the Scouting page is international so it is important that detailed information on national history is moved to the right national page. Would you mind doing that? Thanks. Zaian 13:58, 8 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Jorgen, I don't quite understand this image. What do the different shades of green mean, for instance? Also, I noticed the paint-bucket hasn't properly filled in parts of the image and it looks a bit messy (blame it on whatever imaging application you were using -- hope it wasn't MS Paint! :) Anyway, do you think it would be possible for us to work together to clean up and clarify this image? — Donama 02:47, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why was the Image:Eoscamelbeeckf1.gif deleted? I've included the rights. I've requested the right to use it from the authors of the file and got it. Shouldn't you first mark it for deletion instead of just go around deleting things? Jorgenpfhartogs 16:39, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your message. Wikipedia is a free content encyclopedia. As a result, it does not accept images that are permitted for use only here, as that permission could be withdrawn at any time and it stops others from using it. To upload an image onto Wikipedia, it must either be released under a free license (and verification of that release lodged with the Wikimedia PR Dept at permissions@wikimedia.org) or usable under the very narrow fair use policy. There are some email texts that you can use to request such a release.
Images that are licensed with permission only are eligible for speedy deletion under criterion I3, and nobody needs to mark them for deletion or wait for any time. Also, when you uploaded the image, a warning was displayed that the page was a candidate for speedy deletion, which is why you were not further informed.

Armenian Genocide

I see from your message on Talk:Armenian Genocide that you are not aware of the Armenian atrocities that occured during this period. Not surprising. Few people from the Christian west have managed to learn the truth. Let me recommend Justin McCarthy's excellent book, The Ottoman Peoples and the End of Empire [4]. --Anthon.Eff 23:34, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Quoyle point

If you're going to write an article, don't copy and paste the entire content of another page. I noticed you added onto the article and removed the redirect. Just make sure that in the future, before you save an article and it is officially "created," that the article is complete, because there are many people who sit and patrol new pages, and when one pops up that looks like yours did, it will be quickly dealt with. I have my eye on your article. IMHO, it still should be merged with the book site, but you have time to develop it now. Lauren 23:22, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

On a lighter note, I would be happy to help you better format your talk page and your userboxes if you would like. I have been doing a lot of re-formatting of my own recently, and I am getting pretty good at it! Lauren 00:04, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tips

There are a few things you should read, first. I've noticed you've gotten a LOT of messages about copyright tags. READ the Wikipedia guidelines for copyrights, and MAKE SURE that you tag all your images accordingly. It's a tricky issue, and a lot of people dedicated a lot of time to making sure this site is run correctly. I can tell you don't have malicious intent, so just try to be more careful.

Another helpful hint is that when you're editing/creating an article, try not to save after every sentence :) Your edit history shows a long series of edits on one article at a time. If you want to see the progress of an article, you don't have to hit the "save" button; you can just hit "preview."

I'm going to go ahead and clean up your userboxes. You have quite a few! Read this article by the founder of wikipedia about userboxes, and you might want to cut down on them.

Feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you have any more questions! Lauren 00:33, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Untagged image

An image you uploaded, Image:SintOdilienbergCOA.gif, was tagged with the {{coatofarms}} copyright tag. This tag was deleted because it does not actually specify the copyright status of the image. The image may need a more accurate copyright tag, or it may need to be deleted. If the image portrays a seal or emblem, it should be tagged as {{seal}}. If you have any questions, ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. -- 16:26, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Wapenroermond.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Hello Jorgenpfhartogs, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:Salesforce logo.gif) was found at the following location: User:Jorgenpfhartogs. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not readd the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 08:11, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free use disputed for Image:LogoRoermond.jpg

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:LogoRoermond.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:15, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Currow-Crest.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Currow-Crest.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Currow-Crest.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Currow-Crest.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Speedy deletion of St. Mary's B.N.S.

A tag has been placed on St. Mary's B.N.S., requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Excirial (Talk,Contribs) 19:42, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wilderness Diarrhea Getting Killed

Jorgen:

I'm not sure Euros would fully understand this issue, but I see you're interested in hiking.

Dunno, but it seems remotely possible you'd be interested that Wilderness Diarrhea is getting merged into Travelers Diarrhea by a couple of zealots who seem to have no concept of outdoor interests.

I get around a lot in the outdoors and rarely treat water, but WD article had some good stuff.

After a couple of weeks of calm discussion, I went ballistic and no longer want to participate. Rational voices might help.

These guys have irrationally convinced themselves that WD isn't a legitimate topic for a Wikipedia article.

I've pointed out several bomb-proof arguements to no avail. I'd say the strongest is the vast number of published articles that discuss WD as a separate concern from TD. They are both environmental health topics, and obviously the context of each are far different.

Thanks for your uploads. You've indicated that the following images are being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why they meet Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page an image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

Speedy deletion of File:CupTeam2005.jpg

A tag has been placed on File:CupTeam2005.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Beast11.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Proposed deletion of Glencullen, County Mayo

The article Glencullen, County Mayo has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

a search for references found nothing supporting a town or townland named Glencullen in the county of Mayo, there are extensive references for Glencullen in the county of Dublin, and that article exists in Wikipedia. I was also unable to find reference or mention of "Glencullen National School of Glencullen" located in this as described. The schools (if it exists) seems to fail WP:N, the place seems to only be located in Dublin county

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Jeepday (talk) 12:35, 8 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Jorgenpfhartogs! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 743 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Notification for racist expressions

Greetings!

You might not be following the talk on the Armenian Genocide talk-page in the section you have created. So just in case I want to post my comment here, to be sure you note it:

1) Jorgenpfhartogs, you should bare in mind, that before accusing one whole nation in something, you have to think very carefully, as this is incorrect terminology to use and may be count to be "racistic": "Armenians weren't completely innocent...". 2) When having such things said you should not only use correct wording, but also express exactly what you mean and what connection there is with the topic opened by you. Otherwise it may be (see point 1).

Regards, Aregakn (talk) 22:29, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

I also see you had been recommended to have studied the issue better. I encourage you to do so before discussing or commenting it. To be true, Ireland and it's people I count to be the most, allow me to call it, "capable" and willing to understand and know the Armenian issues.

Glensouthwell or Danesmoate House...

Hello there - i saw you started the Glensouthwell article some years back. I don't know too much about it, but if its current name is indeed Danesmoate House, should we not move the page to that name? Just a though - correct me if I'm wrong. cheers --Merbabu (talk) 00:13, 22 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's locally known as Glensouthwell still but was renamed Danesmoate in the 19th century already I believe. Glensouthwell is the name for the local area as well and mentions as thus in the early annals. There's no page for Danesmoate yet.

I suggest renaming the page Danesmoate House as it's called now and redirect Glensouthwell here. Jorgenpfhartogs (talk) 15:42, 22 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Brussels naming conventions

Hi. I noticed you moved Woluwe-Saint-Pierre to a bilingual title. As mentioned on the talk page, there is a pre-existing consensus on the naming of the municipalities of Brussels, and Woluwe-Saint-Pierre is the agreed upon title. There are other conventions as a result of consensus at Wikipedia:WikiProject Belgium/Brussels naming conventions if you wanted to look at those too. Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Paudge O'Connor. The community has decided that all new biographies of living persons must contain a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article as per our verifiability policy. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:13, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:SarahCurran.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:SarahCurran.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 04:39, 24 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:12, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Kara Cooney, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page German. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

Hello, Jorgenpfhartogs. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
