Welcome to the Catholic canon law task force, the place for Catholic canon law enthusiasts (and learners) to collaborate on pages relating to Catholic canon law.
Fontes Vicipædiæ lex suprema.[note 1]

Some Wikipedians have formed a task force to organise articles relating to the Catholic Church's law, both Eastern and Western. This task force is under the parentage of WikiProject Catholicism.

Scope[edit]

All pages relating to the canon law of the Catholic Church, including terms, individual canons and other canonical documents (Motu proprios, Apostolic constitutions, etc.).

Notes[edit]

  1. ^ According to canon 1752 of the 1983 Code of Canon Law, the supreme law of the Catholic Church is the salvation of souls: Salus animarum lex suprema. Hence the parody Fontes Vicipædiæ lex suprema, that is, "The sources of Wikipedia are the supreme law", a maxim that all editors of this magnificent encyclopedia do well to remember.
